Glad you like them, I agree the original ones weren't very useful for building with, which is why I made the new ones; most of the GregTech metal blocks have also been done.
I have also added textures for the new Railcraft steam oven:

Scott : Dude! This thing claims I have mail.
Wallace : It's amazing what we can do with computers these days.
Scott : Dude! Now I'm reading it!
Wallace : So happy for you.
I really like the style of this texture pack, however I've come across a few issues. Mystcraft pages are impossible to see. The paper is transparent, while the symbol isn't. Making it have next to no contrast. The rubber trees (tappable kind) leaves look like wood with an arrow on them. When I switch to default they appear normally, so it's not a sneaky conflict. This is with the technicians remix. Also the book binder in mystcraft is showing up as if it's missing the texture.
Also having a very weird bug that doesn't happen on default textures. When in nei, if I search for b, everything except the gui goes grey..doesn't happen with any other letter. I know this may not be a texture pack issue, and an optifine thing. It's just odd it doesn't also happen on default textures.
You, good sir, get a vote up for that pack.
Im so glad someone other than sphax did a texturepack for technic mods xD

i play alot of games ... some of them im good at ... some of them ... not so much, well no ... i just plain suck at the latter portion ... you'd think that in 20 years of gaming, id learn ...
Thanks for these links. I've been putting together a pack for MineFantasy, but became discouraged by the shear number of blocks I was going to need to texture, let-alone items. These will help alot when I get back to it.

No problem.
Yeah, I've been looking at Mine Fantasy as well--seems like a good 'TFC-lite' addition.
I'd really love to see an update for Mine Factory Reloaded textures. It's been mentioned a few times in the thread, in different ways but the sheets were rearranged in recent versions of the mod.

Transparency isn't going to be changed, it's been stated before in this thread. I have never had the rubber tree issue, so maybe try updating the TP. Be careful of double clicking the search bar in nei. If you double click it is searching your inventory which grays out every item in your inventory that doesnt match the search terms. To fix this double click the search bar again.
I just wanted to let you guys know that my husband and I are using the technician's remix of your pack in the first season of our hardcore co-op let's play videos! We've made sure to credit you guys and put a link to this thread in the description box, but I wanted to personally let you know that we're loving the texture pack! (I really got a kick out of the "me gusta" villager. I think I first noticed him around 6:25 of our first episode)

Thanks again for continuing the work on this great texture pack!
Perhaps changing the style of certain new ores? Like Lead and Silver can have different textures than re-colored versions of the old Iron and Gold ore veins? I like what you have been doing with the ore blocks but perhaps changing the textures of the Diamond and Emerald blocks to fit the pack a little more. Now don't scrutinize me for saying that, I just feel (even though they are original JS textures) that they compliment the rest of the pack. Diamond should have a slightly lighter hue and perhaps a tinge of opacity.
Now for ingots. We all know most of the ingots are recolored versions of Gold and Ironingots. Now this I am comfortable with already, but I think that rotating the angles of the view of the ingots would stylize the pack more.
Note: I love the fact that IC2 and BC machines have thier own color pallet which makes them easier to distinguish. And I really love the new textures of the chests.
Here are a few more textures I think should change. Feel free to disagree and/or agree with me.
Bricks - I know this is hard to do. Many texture packs have tried and failed to do these things justice. But a retexture is well worth it and it seems to be by far the most wanted as far as vanilla textures are concerned. Of course this means other things will be retextured such as the Coke Oven but we will get there when we get there I suppose.
Soul Shards - To my knowledge, these have not been touched yet in the FTB Technition's Remix of JS.
Ruby, Green Sapphire, and Blue Sapphire Ores - They show up as looking like diamonds but when you mine then, they are JS edited versions of the original unused ruby texture in vanilla minecraft. Perhaps retexturing the ore to look like what it will mine or a new texture all together like what has been done with Aluminum recently. This retexture goes for all ores that are doubled like Apatite, Silver, Lead, Uranium, etc. as I think they should have thier own and unique ore textures.
Crude Oil and Oil Sands - Not really much to say. Perhaps a shiny slippery looking texture with a trickeling animation like what may have been used in Crying Obsidian.
Xychorium - Now don't shoot me but I think these are the worst textures made thus far for the pack. the Xychorium blocks are excellent but the ores themselves are very lack luster but I am just a fan.
Upgrades, Twilight Tree Woods, Certain Saplings, Railcraft Tracks and Nuggets
Lastly, I think that weapons and armor should have different textures. Iron, Gold and Diamond armor are all the same thing just recolored. I think they should all have different styles to them. Same with tools. Certain ones like wood to iron tools are different but after iron, they are just recolored. Perhaps a different shape like have diamond picks sharper with more of an edge to show its sharp. idk.
Again, these are just my opinions as a fan. I understand some of what I said may be currently in the works. I was just voicing my opinions as well as some of the community's. Thank you for reading.

A lot of the textures in those packs are combinations of John Smith, Conquest, and this pack:
