Why do my spiders keep turning into white ninjas?
Hoo ya! Doin Ninja Style!
But seriously. They keep turning into this idk why. I patched correctly though.
You just need to take the spider_eyes.png in mob and give them a black background instead of a transparent one.
Actually, here, just take this. Rename it to spider_eyes.png and throw it in your texturepack/mob/ folder.

So, just checking... if I'm following along with the rolling changelog, and it says things have been updated (gregtech stuff today) but the front page says things haven't been updated for a few days, which should I believe?

We update the rolling changelog whenever we make a change, and then that change is automatically updated through dropbox. Since glow is using Mediafire, he will manually have to update every few days. I'll ask him to update today.

Thanks. I've begun using dropbox for my group of friends to have a single download for our server that I just update the zip of, and it's amazingly convenient, but with the popularity of JSTR, I can easily see how it would break limitations.
We probably won't be using Dropbox for much longer anyway as the transfer caps are just not going to cut it. Even if we purge unneeded files and go over to .rar archives, in the grand scheme of things it won't make hardly any difference, so we will probably end up either migrating back to gDrive or (god forbid) MS Skydrive soon.
Although I'm sure you're probably aware, John Smith updated his thread and gave permission to put his textures into a customizer.
Just wanted to mention it as it may provide another solution for storage and downloading.
For the vanilla download that would be a possibility, but for the mod support we've going to have to leave the downloads as are for now, as Google Drive just spazzes out when you attempt to edit an existing .zip archive, and SkyDrive I can't even install because it tells me javascript is disabled even though it isn't - typical MS quality right there.
Sigh, For the time being, I'll keep the JSTR Mirrors and Legacy updated whenever theres a somewhat decent addition to make it worthwhile.
I've been cleaning up the CTM support and merging the disparate different CTM randomizers. Should I upload it to mediafire and link it on a post here for testing to be included in the pack?
EDIT: Also, the mushroom blocks are missing from the terrain file. You can get the original files from JohnSmith's customizer.

Thank you for your hard work my man. Muchly appreciated. A shame that it seems to be the only such service that is so simple and eloquent a solution for such a thing.
-edit- As a suggestion, as sad as I am to propose it, there is SugarSync, though the free accounts are more limited in bandwidth (10GB a day) they do allow up to 250GB per day for paid accounts, which are as low as five bucks a month. Sad to see such a community driven resource taken to such a direction, but things as they are, it's a suggestion.
Right I have moved all the download links over to Google Drive, we'll have to work around the problems it has for the time being.
As for the GUIs, like has been said many times there's not really much we can do about the text visibility problem, however I know what you mean about the Mystcraft Link Modifier, that might be fixable, will have to take a better look at it when I have time.
A few notes on this package:
- I updated the "How To" doc to document which files map to which blocks.
- I moved most of the CTM support into the specific block files away from the terrain files. This is because it was very difficult for people to figure out what files to remove/change based on which block they wanted textured differently.
- I fixed the cracked and chiseled stone brick so they have different tile sets in the randomizer and no longer look the same
- I added all the missing blocks such as slabs, double slabs, etc, for the textures that exist in the randomizer
- I readded bookcase support
- I removed the horrid looking gold block and diamond block top tile support
- I've included my PSD file of the randomizer
- I've included my modified terrain.png and PSD file for reference
Please note I did not create any of these textures, just moved things around abit. and modified the CTM files.
Lastly, Flower Pot support is a no go. Although you can get CTM to apply the same colored flower pot texture to each side of the pot on the OUTSIDE, it'll sometimes apply a different colored pot texture to the INSIDE. It's very ugly. Currently I know of no way to fix this so I had to leave it out.
Whose in charge of this project and why have you suddenly changed everything to this Google Drive crap? I've spent the last 15 minutes of my life trying to figure out how to download the texture zip file for the latest snapshot. I still haven't figured it out. Why did you have to go and make the process of downloading a texture pack so complicated? What was wrong with uploading the zip file to a website like Mediafire? Please switch back to regular download sites...
And if you're not going to do that, the very least you can do is provide a basic run-down on how to download your texture pack, because I highly doubt I'm the only one ready to toss their laptop across the room in frustration. THANKS!

That's strange, Drive has never done that before.
Anyways, once you click on the button, it will take you to a page with a bunch of names of .pngs on it. Click on file, in the top left, and select download.
Since the last (today's) update---which downloaded fine for me :P---
Thaumcraft updated. Binnie's ExtraBees had a big update as well. Machines are all squirrely looking with the TP. Fyi...

I'll talk to glow tomorrow to try and fix that.
I'm running into similar problems with drive, but I found the mirror and went ahead and downloaded that. The page simply never loads past the title for me, and I'm running the most recently updated Chrome.
Anyway, thank you guys for continuing this project. I'm making a map in Johnsmith, and when I found he wasn't updating further (and was ignorant to the legacy project), I got a little leery. Thanks for the good work.
Here's the two traincraft files, blocks and blocks2, not sure which the game actually uses (my guess is blocks2) as I didn't have time to test it. They only turned out OK, as it was late last night when I was fiddling with it, I may try doing something with it tonight if I get time, watch this space.
Mostly, I just wanted to get the oil sand and crude oil textures over to my custom JS version and figured I could easily plop in the current JS texture for people using that version. The rest of the textures have not been touched, I have no idea what most of them even are, as I've never even tried Traincraft. The only other thing I plan on changing is the steel ingot texture in the Traincraft items file, but since I use a different ingot than the current pack, I won't be uploading that unless someone requests it.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
First off, I want to say thanks to the JSTR/Legacy team for making and maintaining this pack. I also have been working on JS textures and I know how much work is involved in texturing and I can only imagine the hassle of trying to keep a download hosted somewhere and up-to-date.
However, that being said, I'm having difficulty with the download, and I'm hoping we can figure out a solution for the problems.
I don't have problems with the download link itself (from Google Docs). The issue is the zip file. For some reason, the type of archive that it is does not play nice with Mac OSX. Archive Utility (the default unarchiver in OSX) cannot open this file at all--it doesn't recognize it as a directory. I've tried using iZip, which does allow me to open it, but the file is 'incomplete,' which I find odd.
What I mean by this is, for example, there are no textures for RP2, TC3, or Gregtech, but the most recent changes to xycraft are there.
What is puzzling me is that I was able to download this file with no problems at all around the beginning of December, but since then I have run into this issue.
So, I am curious: have you guys changed the way you archive this file sometime in December? I'm just wondering if you have any insight on this issue, as I'm kind of running out of ideas on my end.
I apologize to anyone who has been having trouble downloading the pack from gDrive, I've just tested the download with Firefox and Windows 7, and it seems to work fine with no files missing, so I'm not sure what could be causing the issues people are describing.
@MinerN8, I personally use WinRAR to modify the archives, but I can't speak for the other members of the team. However I have no problem opening the .zip files using the Windows explorer, so I'm not sure what could be causing the problem with Macs, and I have no way of testing that, however it sounds to me that you might have a corrupt download, I would suggest trying to redownload the file and see if that helps.
I'm aware that Google Drive isn't the most reliable means of distributing the packs, but for the time being it's the best option we've got.

Do or do not. There is no try.

I went through and cleaned up the CTM support for JS Legacy. Here's a download link to test it out.
