So, are these cans currently incorporated into the download?
I added them in earlier, along with some updates to XYcraft, however only the Dropbox download is updated currently, so it may not be possible to download ATM
Ok, thanks. Guess I'll wait until you move the dl or dropbox comes back up.
Use either MCPatcher or Optifine.
For some reason, the text color gets darker whenever it is raining and you have an item being held in your hand. No idea why, and there's nothing we can do about it. So either make it not rain, :P, or tough it out.
Not only. For some reason I have normal text at my main computer and very dark on other one.
I have now just switched to the JSTR pack and am enjoying something different but not to different if you know what I mean. However JSTR has a completely clear glass texture and i have gone insane the last 2 days trying to change it. I use gimp to edit the terrain.png & terrain_TP.png (this has worked before), copied the CTM folder over from the JSL pack and gone through all the folders looking for the glass texture..with no luck.
Can someone please tell me what file and where it is i need to change/edit to get the standard JSL glass texture in to the JSTR.
Yell, shout, call me what you want...i did search and read everything i could before posting....
Cheers
P.S. I have gone back to JSTR (JS Mod Support 1.4.2) and it works fine!! The only Mod I have installed is the current CJB mini map and quickcraft. I use Magic launcher with modloader & optifin_1.4.6_HD_B5.
What a pain in the neck. Why they went from an object rendered in game to a sprite for the compass needle, I'll never know. This doesn't look too bad, it's OK on the toolbar, but held in hand looks a little weird. I may tweak the needle graphics a bit, but don't hold your breath. Also, the compass body is the older JS version, not the newest one which I found to be too dark and chunky looking. At least I think it's the old JS version, might be something someone in the thread uploaded, if so, and they object, I'll remove the link.
Huh, just noticed that the animation frames don't match up from last back to first. Oh well, maybe I'll work on it this afternoon, right now I'm sick of looking at it.
Later: OK, complete re-do, new image attached, delete old one and use this one. Much better needle animation in this one, best I can do anyway, so, now on to the clock. Maybe tomorrow, I'd like to actually play the game today :+)

Hoo ya! Doin Ninja Style!
But seriously. They keep turning into this idk why. I patched correctly though.
Not just for ease of use, McPatcher supports features that are not only not in Optifine, but polishes those it has better as well. It is completely stable, hence why it's even stickied in the The Minecraft Tools section. I notice it's not even on this pack's front page, too, which seems to point to the pack being more geared towards mod users that need Forge/Optifine instead. Just trying to get all the options covered equally here...It is suited for the "legacy" users, since they have no need to install Forge. As for the cloud rendering issue, that's a vanilla issue that's inherent to using "fancy" graphics. It's been there since beta, but wasn't really noticed until the height limit was raised and people started looking at things from a higher perspective (literally).
If you're using the "smooth" stone version of the mod-friendly pack, try downloading the "Legacy: With Mods" pack. Some of the textures may not be as updated yet, but it retains the rougher look.
