Thats from the Randomizer textures, if you don't want the top cobble and mossy cobble textures then look inside the ctm folder and delete terrain36.properties and block4a.properties and they should be gone.
Could we adopt a norm for posting textures here? I really like how, in the Dokucraft thread, people post either the terrain/etc.png file or the proper sized individual texture so that others can add them themselves if they wish. Just mentioning it because I'm seeing a lot of people posting entire packs and it's harder to compare each texture that way. Otherwise, great work guys! This is highly appreciated!
Thanks much for the timely response Greenhawk. I love the whole feel of this pack (been using it off and on since it came out). Just those two textures seem very much out of place to me (rose-tinted glass syndrome probably).
The font colour can't be changed by texture pack thats hardcoded by the game/mod, but the font colour is normally only hard to read when its raining and you have an item in your hand
You completely misunderstood me. If you look at the THREAD, not the Original Post, of Dokucraft: The Sage Continues, you'll see people posting the tweaks themselves, not the pack along with it. Say you make a new redstone block texture. You post just that texture on here and anyone who wants it can download it and add it to their copy of John Smith via GIMP editing. No breech of copyright because no actual John Smith files were distributed.
His textures for industrial craft, although outdated, are in my opinion unmatched! They fit John Smith's textures perfectly.
Here just to see how they look, a bit modified by me because there were small bugs...

It looks as he stopped updating his tech pack and only updates his terrafirmacraft pack here (which has awesome textures too)
I don't know where to go with this, I just wanted to let people know about this... perhaps someone could contact him if it could be used but I'm not holding my breath for that
Those textures are very nice, the only issue is, many of the blocks for the IC2 addons and other mods we have are based off of the current ones. If enough people prefer them, we could maybe see about finding out if we can use them however.
Also, apologies to anyone having problems downloading, my dropbox links have been suspended again (within minutes of being unsuspended ). Hopefully we can find a half decent way of distributing the latest versions without having to reupload and repost links everytime changes are made.

I think that would be a good idea, actually. Having to download an entire pack, just to get the image of ~one~ block, to then have to edit into my Terrain.png file is annoying... so having just a "one new block overlay" that you can paste over your current file is tops, in my opinion.

I agree with you, there, too. Distributing John Smith's work, as we are now (with FULL packs containing his original work, and then our edits) might be breaching his copyright... and that was never the intention. So, again, I suspect that individual image overlays would be a better choice.
I've found my old files, brought them into the desired order, and voila! IC2 In my opinion the best on the schedule for Johnsmith (in my opinion). I drew a long time and some of the details left out ... but the blocks are made by 100%, and with a love for the old style of John! But at the time the safe was a block and therefore it is not present here. Just enjoying real oldfag textures Johnsmith Note that many devices have based old iron block ... Since I do not draw much, it had to borrow some items from other paokv texture .. While I enjoyed screenshots)
On the contrary, actually. Imagine when people will have to post for each and every single block.
Let's hope people know enough to put more than one image in a post. Hopefully if they have it together enough to edit & post textures, they know they can put several images in one post.
Hopefully.

Nope, actually. His license clearly states we're allowed to use his textures in our packs, as long as we give him credit.

If they don't, then we can hit them in the head with a hammer. That always works.
Why not?
We do it all the time in the JS thread.
Is there a way to fix dark GUI font colors because it's very hard to read?..
This problem will go away (mostly) when 1.5 comes out and textures will all be single files, not one big terrain.png. See Dinnerbone's tweet here https://twitter.com/Dinnerbone/status/281796115647561728

Also, Jeb_ wrote about new texture packs in wiki, take a look
Looks like tomorrow we'll see the new texture pack format, get ready )
Happiness is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth.
As much as we want to, we can't. As it is against John Smith's original copyright.

I look forward to it, since that's already how I share the image edits I make.
That looks good!
Uhh, no. You can just link several images in one post.

Do you mean where are the mirror downloads?
To the left of each download there is a picture like so
Nope, actually. His license clearly states we're allowed to use his textures in our packs, as long as we give him credit.
Well, then, "problem" solved, right?
