Alright, well here it is updated as a resource pack... that's about all I've done since the last update. I suppose I never did release the fixed up version though so let me try to remember...
> I fixed the various problems with CTM and such
> Fixed water textures(disabled custom water colors) since there's a blurry line now, and no NEED to patch the client, so gray water was bugging out with default.
> Clock was fixed(thanks to a friend)
> All the new blocks and items and such and all that jazz. No mob textures though, sorry
> Sadly the compass doesn't work, I couldn't get my code to generate what I wanted so I'll try to fix that in the future. Let me know if it's actually bugged(not using default compass) and I'll rerelease
I didn't really bugtest this much though, since I don't play Minecraft at all anymore. I did hop around my test worlds and everything looked to be in order.
Also I just want to thank all you guys who support the pack and help keep my work out of the various packs that it sometimes slips in(via unaware passing from one person to the other or edits or the like). I barely have the time to work on my pack, and definitely not enough time to really sit and deal with "politics," especially since I used to allow my work to be used before and it's kind of caused a headache now. It's an amazing amount of help when people step in and let others know where the graphics are actually from. You guys know who you are
Just downloaded this pack not too long ago, and i must say, it is beautiful! The blocks and GUI are fabulous, and the I really love the style of the items.

Hi I really like your pack and I'd like to port it for pocket edition, creation credit is yours, I only modify some blocks (color change mainly) to make the PE exclusive blocks, could I have the permission?

Go for it, as long as you don't profit off of it(ad.fly or the such). Linking back here would also be nice
Hey, great to see you still updating the pack, it is awesome.
Also are you still planning to finish everything that is not done yet? (Such as mobs?)
I have no plans currently, just haven't the time. It's hard enough just to keep up with the essentials(blocks, items...), not to mention they seem to release new mobs faster than I can make them.
However the new resource pack update is looking awesome. You'll be able to load multiple packs, and prioritize them. That way if you enjoy DustyCraft you can load it in at the top to get all the blocks/items and then load another pack after it to let it fill in the rest of the missing graphics, like mobs(I suggest Wayuki's pack if you want awesome mobs!). It definitely takes a bit of stress off the shoulders of pack makers to constantly maintain their packs for fear of falling behind and their packs no longer being usable. Now if you like a pack you can keep using it and find another nice pack to fill in whatever graphics you're missing. Kudos to dinnerbone.
I was really amped to get into this and start making the new textures for the new snapshot. Lots of fun items... but then I unzipped the jar. Dinnerbone has decided to completely rearrange and RENAME almost all the files. I spent an hour rearranging and renaming most of the files, only to open up blocks/ and items/ to find out he has renamed a good majority of those as well. Probably 100+ files to go through.
This completely killed my motivation. I'll work on the textures I guess, but I have absolutely no intention of going through all those damn files and updating them. A ton of file renames were just god damn silly(wither_skeleton.png renamed to skeleton_wither.png, wither_fire.png renamed to wither_shooting.png). Then there's images that aren't moved where you'd think they would be with this new format, such as spider_eyes.png not being in entity/spider folder.
Is there something floating around that fixes this or
I feel podzol would look more appealing as a biome sort of stuck in the season of fall, with all the trees and such and leafy ground. The idea of drawing nasty/ugly grass doesn't really strike me as something I'd like to see in a biome.

Waaaait, what? They renamed a boatload of stuff?
All I noticed were the normal fish being renamed. Shows how much attention I've been paying lol. (too much fun texturing the flowers I guess)

I think that looks nice, much better than the weird vomit-esque weirdness they got going on in vanilla. Hell, I might even use that around the place, not just cringe whenever I see it in-game!
It's likely MCPatcher will have some auto rename mechanic, similar to the convert texture pack option from when resource packs were introduced.
As for the podzol, it looks stunning! If I recall real life podzol refers to layers of materials under the ground, not necesarily the top layer. So coming up with something unique is more than welcomed in my opinion.

Notice how bow_pull_0.png is now bow_pulling_0.png
However I just loaded up Minecraft and realized my item images and such are still working just fine... so I am confused about what to do here.
Also I checked MCPatcher and they didn't have any news about this new renaming stuff and didn't see anything about it. I don't know if I should bother renaming all the items/blocks since they're working or what...

Don't bother IMO, the reason I was surprised is because I haven't changed the names of any of my items or blocks, but everything (and I mean everything) is still working in-game perfectly fine. Dunno why mojang would bother honestly, it seems rather nonsensical.

Curse PremiumMCPatcher has a built in converter that successfully converted my texturepack. Best of luck.
