im not sure if its me but my book shelf isnt showing any textures..its invisible and i see through floors and mines standing inside my house lol.

Check your mcpatcher/optifine maybe?

Also check that you are running the proper Minecraft version.

This is an 8x8 pack, but it appears your mobs are still native resolution, so they don't have the 8x8 touch.

Just resize them the same way you would with the terrain.png. If it is blurry, then make sure your resize method is "nearest neighbour" or "pixel resize" depending on what program you're using.
