I've been re-texturing minecraft for a while now. It used to be just this or that block, but now I've decided to create my own entire texturepack. Enjoy:

Wow, this is great. In fact, it's exactly what I've been searching for in a texture pack (at least from what it looks like so far)- it's clean but not overly simplified, and doesn't make natural terrain look bad. I can't wait until it's finished.

Thank's Acap! Nice to hear someone's following! Keep up with the development, it's sure to get better and better!
I downloaded your texture pack to have a peek. I assume the folder titled "pam" is mod support, within I noticed that many of the textures belong to the Painterly Pack. Did you get permission to use Rhodox's work, because if not, you need it before you use the Painterly textures even if you're just using them as placeholders.
As for the pack itself, it does have potential. But a simple pack (which I assume is the theme you're going for) does not equate flat and very little to no detail. The square pattern you've got in the dirt, ores and such looks pretty nice. But you need to shade the underside of the side grass and your side snow so it looks less flat, as well as the planks. Some amount of shading should be carried out throughout all of your textures since it really does make it look all that much better. I noticed you already did in the ore blocks, cobble, stone bricks, etc. so it looks a bit strange when some of your other textures have no shading at all.
I like what you did with the ore blocks, though I wish there was some variation between them, that they weren't just the same block but with different colors. The same with the wools, perhaps you should do a pattern of some sort? So they don't look so plain and flat?
SteelFeathers recently held a "Simple Pack" contest. Maybe you should take a gander at the thread to get some inspiration: http://www.minecraft...wdown-vote-now/

In fact my pack where I said my dirt looked similar was made for the contest so I'm sure you'll be able to find inspiration.
Wow, I have replied to three improperly formatted simple pack posts in a row, then this thread appears at the top of the main page. I click it expecting to see another simple pack, but instead I see a brilliantly and beautifully formatted opening post with great looking textures! The sidegrass could indeed use some shading on the dirt under the edge of the grass, and the logs look to have the same pattern as default, but most textures look great! Well done!
If I could venture a suggestion though, I have seen a lot of this, and I would recommend using a custom palette. Most textures seem to use the default base colour, which many people, myself included, find a tad dull. Try some bright, vivid colouration to add to the designs in your pack. It will look really great then.

yup, that's mod support. all of the painterly textures were already in use in the mod (pam's mod) i only retextured some of the blocks. i assume pam got permission from rhodox , but i also got permission.
You definitely need to improve your shading a lot (furnace, piston, dispenser etc.. light coming from wrong direction, planks no shading, ores no embedding) and stay away from the default look on some blocks (top tnt, grass, cauldron, etc.......) and keep the overall style going a bit more.
And here is where you Conquered:
Very good progress with a happy and light feel, you have a lot done and a somewhat together style. A lot of room for improvement but I believe you definitely have the skill and determination to make this a great pack.
If I had to give it a rating, maybe 6/10 and 8/10 with my "commands"
