This pack is for those of you who wish to have a default looking pack, but in the theme of Autumn, as it is that time of year. I made this pack to be completely faithful to the default, just in a different season.
This texture pack includes Autumnly-Auptomized goodies that are such things as golden fields of carrots and potatoes, reddish fields of wheat, Zombified villagers, Harvest moons and that sort. And since it is the correct time of year for it, the creepers start changing from their standard grassy camoflauge to a more Autumn Golden Green Camoflauge. Squid also take on a different hue than normal, as they change from straight blue, to a more Aqua-esque shade. Alas, as it is the fall season, even steve must don a wool cap and a toasty sweater. As well as steve, the zombies are a tad smarter and have started wearing their own sweaters and caps to keep warm and moving relatively quick.
After all of this, I present to you: An autumn pack.
News and Updates
October 15th 2012: Download links repaired and enabled for usage by public
October 17th 2012: Checked compatibility with 12w42a, it works.
October 20th 2012: 1.4 prerelease is 100% compatible
October 23rd 2012: Yes, 1.4.1 pre is compatible, as it was simply bugfixes. (and I also started using statistics )
October 25th 2012: Uhyup! 1.4.2! Happy Halloween!
November 12th 2012: Forgot to put up the 1.4.4 name.
Edit:
No, I tested a bit, it didn't really fit that well, as I had to use the command block. It worked, but It honestly didn't feel correct changing the look of a block beyond what it was originally. I respect the idea of having a hay block, but I don't feel right changing one of the wool blocks or anything, as this pack was made to make everything look normal (no random hay blocks on your pixel art)
It looks quite nice. I like it of how you managed to get the grass colours that I like the least in minecraft (the savanna colour) and to make it look a whole lot nicer. Although you probably changed the colour a bit, it makes it aesthetically pleasing because of the rest of the theme of this texturepack.
I would be glad to see more season texturepacks. Maybe you should make separate textures for different seasons. If you do this, please Private message me to let me know! I would want to try out all of them on a rotation! :-D
Good work. :-)
I do plan on making more seasons, however, default minecraft is already summer in my mind and the winter version is giving me issues with frost, so I'll likely release a spring version next
Wow i really love the colors of this pack! I feel like this theme can become sooo much more outside of the default.
One thing i kind of throws the rest of the color scheme off is the water. Since its all nice and warm colors then there's a bright blue water block lol. Maybe change the water color a bit? ( you don't have to its just a suggestion)
