I love the little swirl around the bottom, looks smexy. Reminds me of zelda (wind waker to be precise).
Interesting. I've never actually played Zelda, though...but I feel like I need too, lest I lose my nerd card.
Also, I'm working on the horses again. I finally managed to find a way to add subtle shading without resorting to dithering or the like. You wouldn't believe how hard it was. (Anyone who says that making a simple pack is easy can SUCK IT).
So here's the new-and-improved donkey:
But in my quest to retexture the horses I've run into an interesting problem. On horses that I've textured, the marking overlays are all messed up. Observe -

Anyone know what's going on with this? I haven't touched the overlays yet.
Are you making double-res horses? If so, that's the problem. You will want to scale the overlays to match whatever resolution you're using, because otherwise the game doesn't know how to layer them correctly.

Ah, that would be the problem then. I feel silly for not thinking of that.
Thanks.
Hmmm... double resolution horses and mobs would look odd, no? I really like the swirls on the sheep; kind of want to do them myself now...
Depends on how you use them. The sheep are double resolution, you know.
Default minecraft mobs have stupidly few pixels on them. Unless you're doing subtle dithering, you can't get good shading or swirly patterns without at least doubling the resolution.
EDIT: And on that subject, here's a horse preview! I only have to finish the black spot and white spot patterns and they'll be done. ^^
Those are great! The sheep are just beautiful, I love them. The horses kinda remind me of like a kids cowboy toy. Really adorable.
Also those items are fantastic! This pack is freaking gorgeous.

I had thought of making the mobs vaguely toy-based, as was suggested by a fan a while back. We'll see where it goes.
(And it's good to see you again, btw. Hope you can stick around.)
Until I can figure out how to pose the horses for pretty showcase shots (and put saddles on them in creative mode....it doesn't seem possible atm), this group shot will have to do:

The glass is to... woody. I know, I know, you were using a palette...
