Here's to my first texture pack! Called 'Valiant Craft', this texture pack features a log theme and some fancy items. It's completely ready for use in Minecraft 1.4.6 (Also a 1.3.2 download! c: )!
For most of the blocks, it looks like you just used Mojang's stone brick texture and changed the base colour of it, and used wood the same way for some blocks, but the blocks you made look pretty good. My only suggestions would be to avoid using Mojang's textures in your pack and remove some of the glare in the windows, the lines for glare are pretty long and most of the lines end at the edge of the texture, so it doesn't tile all that well.
Edit: About the last screenshot, I don't use Optifine, but MCPatcher has all CTM support aswell, so I wouldn't really call it "optifine's CTM", if you want to give it any ownership, I would call it "morpheus_017's ctm" since he came up with the original mod, but I would avoid the ownership thing alltogether.

I did use the style of the stone brick texture on a lot of blocks, and though I didn't intend it to be a placeholder I find myself leaning towards that idea. The glare on the windows could definitely be reduced as well; thanks for the suggestions! ^^
EDIT: Ahh yeah.. I'm so used to just using optifine it's warping my mind. Thanks again Fixed it.

Thanks for the consideration (and changes to the image), the pack does look nice, might I say. I love the look of the intense snowstorms.

Thanks! I was surprised at how they caused no more lag than default-texture pack ones.
Edit: Working on some terrain textures for a bit.. I'll fix the glass tomorrow
Looks like a slight adjustment to the Vanilla. Try to 'spark' it up, so your texture pack would be worth-while downloading.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, Valiant Craft isn't (at the moment) one of the major-texture-overhaul ones.. just some changes, although almost all of the terrain.png is modified at least a bit. First, snapshot Then I'll tweak it up a bit!
Great pack! Laughed at the image that said "Who likes birch trees anyway." I like the look of the snowstorms and the chests. Although the pumpkins scare the crap out of me, the rest of the pack is great :). Worth downloading! Also, maybe if you do a future update you might consider making the enchant tables a little more fancy. I never liked the look of enchant tables.

Edit: Some things I don't like are the grass textures. It doesn't look good with the sides going all the way down. The bread seems too long and the potions and splash potions are all the same. The only way to see what potion you have in your inventory is by mousing over it. Please change it and I know this is a W.I.P.

Thanks for the feedback Personally, I'm quite a fan of the grass texture as it is.. I'm sorry, but it's really not first on my list of changes to come
I agree with the potions feedback though... I'll change that, don't worry The bread too, I never really noticed but it definitely doesn't fit too well.
I like that there is a difference between the regular pack and this one but it still keeps the same concepts. I especially like the textures of the beds. One of my favorites is the texture of the jackolanterns. But it would be good if you had a screenshot of the mobs if you changed some of the textures.

From the pictures and text, I have to say, this are awesome for a first time, recent and fast growing texture pack! Some of the block textures are very default, other ones are completely original, and in my thoughts are of that you'll be a very good texture pack maker. There's just one thing I don't like. The part where you say "Who likes birch trees anyways?", in fact, they are my favourite minecraft trees. for you, RaTheBadger, and I recommend this texture pack!

Nope, the mobs are all the same, except for a very-very minor change for creepers. As in I just darkened it like 3% and added red eyes (why not ) Thanks for the feedback ^^

The below download is the same above it, except with no rain or snow. I do like how rain and snow look on my pack, but it can get very annoying gameplay-wise.

Thanks for reading! As I am very new to making texture packs, I would appreciate any constructive criticism or advice!
