I... Uhh... Like it? I don't know what I think of it. I normally dislike simple packs AND square based packs with little noise, but this one... It's well put together, and the shadows are there... if you added some noise or a bit of texture to give each square some life it would look great!

While I see where you are coming from, I feel that having any noisy detail on the squares goes against the entire theme of the pack, a theme that I went to great detail to preserve (which required some hoop-jumping).
For anyone looking for a nicely detailed cubic pack, try out Cubic Interpol, by Deonyi.
This is kind of simple, but there's a nice amount of detail in there, and the creativity you've put into the pistons and such is a wonderful breath of fresh air. Overall, good job.

Would it be cheeky to ask for some snapshot updates? Just the terrain that is...
Oxymorons are easily one of my favorite literary devices.
Seeing as how the mobs aren't entirely done, I can update this pack to the snapshot without having to worry about incompatibility issues with 1.3. I'm expecting that Solace will be snapshot ready in about a day.
