The actual 12w37a stuff was done, like, the evening of the update, but I've been messing with HD Patcher options. A lot of which aren't included here!
Sky, fog, and custom sky experiments as well as animated water all of which didn't really turn out release-worthy.

Recolored Kit's shrub after sapling and replaced mine with it.
Added a fancier animated lava. Flowing, too.
Items:
Bows are now actual archery bows. The pun was great but welp.
Messed with the uncolored portions of the leather.
Shade the saddle.
Darkened the inside of the bucket.
Fix'd the empty bowl.
Colored blaze items after the fire in the furnace GUI.
Emerald looks like the ruby instead of the diamond
Ender pearl has a closed enderman's eye on it now.
Eye of ender now just an eye.
Potion liquid reshaded after water luminosity.
GUI:
Added hearts on them all! From the achievements GUI. Recolored.
Redid the language button.
Messed with the HUD icons again.
Worked on the status icons.
Mobs:
Redid the saddle.
Uh, pretty much every mob got tweaked a bit. Ozelots most noticably, I think.
Also the wither mobs. Colored after blaze and coal now. Also smiling.
Removed Ender's head tatoos.
Added more color to charskin face shading.
Mods:
Did I mention this has had Thaumcraft support all along? I forget to take it out sometimes.
Also added TMI textures. Leaving them in since it's one small simply image file.
Worked on the CTM textures a bit.
Special blocks:
Added shading to inside of chests.
Simplified the enderchest. Made the eye bigger and matching its new sprite.
I think you might have to cut the zombie and pigzombie image heights in half, but I also think that might just be taken care of already if you use the HD Patcher with the zombie fix enabled.
Working on the ender dragon.. I wish McSkin3D wasn't bugged for it. x 3x
Also, villagers of the other animals.

Sure. It's not HD or anything, but I do have custom spider, enderman and enderdragon textures, so you'll get the glitched out ghostly white overlays as with any pack that has them, too. Besides that, you'll just be missing some things like animated textures and CTM and such. The only real issue are mob overlays, though.

You can fix that, even without McPatcher. Just make the background of the glow textures black instead of transparent.
