Update 01- Updated sand, dirt, diamond ore, and a plethora of other things that needed changing but were not directly suggested. Download the newest version while it's fresh!
Also, if you would be kind enough to send me some screenshots, that'd be awesome
I mostly prefer the patterny style. And I wasn't actually looking at the terrain.png, but from your screenshots, it's clear that the sidegrass has another color than the top grass.
Okay, I'll keep that in mind And please check the terrain.png next time. If you play on fancy, the exact same shade of gray is used. The only reason it does not appear that way is that my desktop (sad as it is) is unable to handle very much graphics strain at all. Also note the short render distances, etc.
As a side note, that's why I requested for people to send me more screenshots, so they can be better quality.
Wow thanks! That's the nicest comment I've ever gotten! I am sorry I have not updated in a while, I was working on another texture pack for some reason. I'll work on the items and try to finish some more! Thanks again.

Try not to make the textures to complicated, and start with about two or three colors for the basic design. Then add the other colors for shading, but don't use standard gradients too much or it will look weird. The colors I used were all desaturated a bit, which makes them more pastel-looking, but that was my preference only. as far as everything else, just make sure it tiles (which is easy in 8x) and normal stuff.

Curse PremiumNew pack?!
I'm glad you're excited! Here's a sneak peek version (in minecraft-ready form):http://www.mediafire.com/?cc3cxiv2b2gim9l
Yeah, I wanted to make this one have less-saturated colors, and I think it actually still has a nice atmosphere.
