Hey I am working on an update of Conquest for 1.9 (and later 1.10) that tries to re-introduce many of the Metadatas by using biome-specific textures. For people who love the building variety from 1.7 but really want to play the new versions. It is still a work in progress but coming along nicely. Is there any way I could send this to you (Monsterfish) so that you could post it (if you like it) and that way I don't take any money from downloads?
I have also been adding a few textures based on your textures, but edited. Here is an example: Weirwood Tree (Dark Oak in IcePlains ColdTaiga ColdTaigaHills ColdTaigaM). It was made by editing your ctm birch wood logs and combining them with the occasional face taken from your ctm dispensers and pumpkins. By using your textures i feel it still fits in nicely with the rest of your resources.
Please share any opinions on whether anyone thinks this is a good idea.

In the update I'm working on for 1.9 (I have a 1.8 version as well) I have been doing this so that it's easier to modify connected textures myself and for anyone who wants to adjust it for themselves personally. I get the feeling that the reason Monsterfish's file layout is so chaotic is a combination of 1. The pack developing over time 2. Copying .properties files from johnsmith and 3. Saving space, as many textures are shared by multiple blocks. If you have gotten a bit further on this may I request some help? I can't seem to find the files that govern the textures for cobblestone walls and mossy cobblestone walls. I am trying to make biome specific variants and that is one file I can't seem to locate. In addition, does the matchTiles function only allow sources that are all lowercase letters with no spaces, symbols or numbers? I ask because this is limiting where I place large ctm folders like "icestone". If you have any help or suggestions I thank you greatly.
It's malisis door. Any solution to keep both and meta ?
Just looked up that mod real quick, looks like it adds a whole lot of new (trap)doors.
So my guess would be that the default trapdoor recipe points to a new trapdoor block that has a different id from the default one.
You can try and look up all relavent conquest files (png and property files) for the trapdoor, make copies of them and modify all of those copies to point to the id of the malisis door trapdoor.
Edit: This only works if malisis door doesn't use the metadatas itself.

@Overjay the modsupport for better foilage should definatly work as they shw up perfectly fine for me. but if you could give me a more specified describtion of the issue at hand i can give it another look
@Shasuru/endercreeper04 you need to remove the modelfiles that define the extentions you can find them in the minecraft/models/blocksdirectory inside conquest_.zip

@Isaiha/DeimosEvotec/Saphiria_Veneficia a 64x64 bversion is not in the planning from my side sorry and the people that wanted to give it a go have given up as far as i know =(
also paying someone to make it 64x would be very expensive considering the time it would take to make it happen conquest as it is already has about 3000hr of work put into it
@foxrox55 you need to turn grafics to fancy to disable the "anti x-ray" measures mojang has put on fast leaves
@Melmel1988 metadata access is depended on the minecraft version 1.7 has metadata 1.8 and newer doesnt
@Tselan i am glad you still enjoy it after all that time and since 1.10 is out by now (sorry for taking so long to reply) i hope to add the latest support asap
@C00l_GuY in general i leave mods i dont use personally to be supported by the community and give them a platform to share it with the rest of the comunity all i can offer in that case would be doing some finetuning of textures provided by the users as that doesnt take as much time
@Synarius012 sadly i havent made experiences with that as i dont use realms =/ but i know that the playsound format changed a little bit between versions maybe it would be worth investigating =)
@whitemagehealu you reduce the animation stripfile in the pack to it first image and delete the jsonfile with the same name =)
@JarJpg it might not seem like it but resource-packs.org is the "original page" it is owned by a friend of mine i am however looking for making a conquest specific website but i dont have the manpower or the personal experience to set it up the way i would like to =()

@Gallus_Sentinel121 that happens because of the 3d model addon which is now outdated and discontinued by jugbot
@The_Last_Dovahkiin the default head should still have the cheast as a texture last time i checked =o so no need for a customhead (espeacially
since the texture resolution would be influenced to be smalles aka more ugly)
@SirPisington try using the right pack version for 1.8 as the 9.6 or 10.6 version are only compatible with 1.7

@dragsaw make sure to use the right pack version for your minecraft version =)
@Triliton make sure to have the latest version of better foilage as in previous versions it didnt support connected textures but the latest do

and yea as WilliamWythers said that is literally how the structure came to pass also on top of that i am a little bit of a chaotic person
@Flavre mhm i dont think it is possible as maelis seems re replace current doors etc with their own which might not be compatible with optifine. only help would ba a malis door mod that supports it i fear =()
@endermil unzipping the pack and loading the folder instead of the zip should help with that you can also try to allocate more memory to your game as well
@Wartoxx I definetly want to continue it i just need to take it slower now as I dont have as much time at hand as I used to in the past
@Triliton I believe those should work as long as you put them in a commandblock and run them from there
@boaty_mcboatface sadly this issue hasnt come up for me as I dont work with worldpainter and if anything I would assume it would be a bug based on minecrafts mushroom code or worldpainters placing of blocks in a safefile =/
Still love this pack, even without the meta data. I do like the changes made to some of the blocks like the purpur. Though I feel should still retain a hint of the original color in it.
Now that the iron bar can be placed and look like a rod/cord/whatever, why does it not have a texture?
Some things still get me though: birch fence, soulsand, all prismarine (should have more aqua in it, there is enough almost black blocks now), sandstone & chiseled sandstone, all stained glass not transparent enough..
My opinions, don’t expect you to care or do anything about it. Still love the pack

I love this pack but lately I have been having issues that are really an eyesore as well as nerve racking so wanted to see if anyone else is having these issues as well
- Odd Hoppers = are made of anything but metal- no matter what seed that I go to they are either made of birch wood or of a white material that looks like wool
- Wrapped Trees = several trees mostly i think its the dark oak is wrapped in rope from base to the top if you lay the same logs out for a build they to become wrapped as well
despite this i LOVE this pack but i do seriously hope that its fixed

Monsterfish (Stefan) who has created this awsome resourcepack used the ad site to get some money for his work.
Ravand is safe too.
Checked with my daughters whom both play and use this resource pack as well say that it is the same on their game and pcs as well and has been around since 1.9 has been out. I have attempted to change the hopper texture files with ones from another pack and it still uses the original ones from this pack. I have attempted to look for the texture for the trees to see what the issue is myself but coming up blank on them. I have saved the texture swap and it reverts back to the original settings as if I freshly installed this resource pack despite the changed textures inside the folder. Sighs still love the pack though just a little visualy distracting in some biomes is all and I do tend to hide the hoppers more now lol

Hey saw your post and can understand the hesitation on the site but adfly is safe-ish. I have heard horror stories though but just click the skip link in upper right, if you have an ad blocker pause it first though, and do not click on teh advertisments. If you see one that you are interested in then I suggest using a safe search with a client you are comfortible with. Also as Triliton said Ravand is safe as well. Norton is a type of blacklist av that tends to freak on uncommon websites

Haven't been able to find a fix for water on Dynmap anywhere. I've tried replacing water in the colormap folder for both mcpatcher and minecraft folders. Lava also does not show up and all i get is this. Anyone have a fix?

Note the pack cant be run as a mere .zip file anymore in order to use the 1.7 version unzip the pack and put it into a folder to load it ingame!
