Chiming in to say the sky is beyond amazing. Well done indeed. This pack has come a long way since I first laid eyes upon in all those... uh... months ago. Since then, you've blown through and and did more work than a lot of "Legacy" packs have in their entire lifetime. Mind you, you're not doing mod support in house, but still. The Meta Data blocks more than make up for that.
Speaking of which, do you just... have ideas for textures, have them not pan out, and then find a place for them amongst the meta data blocks on occasion? Or are they all planned editions?
Regardless, I'm beyond impressed with this pack and use it for everything except heavily modded servers (Mostly tekkit and the like. Just a too jarring, unfortunately.). It just fits.
Keep up the good work.
Also also, I'm also having a hard time finding the shaders myself. I click on the button, getting it to "inverted.json", but when I click it again, it freezes for a small moment and it's like the shaders just... crash. It still says "inverted.json" but no shaders are active. "fxaa.json" seems to work fine, but "notch.json" (Which I'm assuming is after "inverted") just doesn't seem to exist/is crashing. Just some feedback from me. So far, no issues, otherwise.
First off, I love what you did with the dirt slab in the sky biome! But secondly, and on a more disappointing note, I cant for the life of me see how to get the connected grass textures. Is it a metadata, or am I missing something elce?
Thanks for your work on this!!! I recently found this as I was looking for a replacement for Misa's since it is no longer being updated... and wow did this blow me away!
I recently stumbled across a huge Mesa biome and decided to start building a town there (Your Mesa textures look amazing). I started building a building on the edge of the biome; as soon as I build with stained clay outside of the biome it changes. I looked in the resource pack and I see these folders:
clay_orange
clay_orange_mesa
So I see that different textures are actually being used outside of the biome. Are you planning on having a different texture for the clays outside of the Mesa Biome permanently or is just WIP that is lower on the list?
If this is by design and won't be changing, I can use a different material on the biome border (or even just move the textures in the pack myself for the clays I am using).. just curious as the the future on this.
In order to get the texture to change based on biome, you have to put in a specific command in the properties file; so it was definitely intentional. I'd assume then that its not a WIP thing, though that doesn't mean that he can't change it.
BTW, you can also change it by simply editing the property files for the hardened clay.

After digging through the resource file a bit more I figured out how it all works. I did some stuff with texture packs back a while back so I kind of had some old rusty knowledge.. I just haven't dealt much with the connected texture stuff.
I found a happy medium.. I created a custom texture patch that I load on top of Conquest. This way I don't change was it in Conquest and can update to the newer versions and not effect my personal changes. I took the mesa textures, and simply blended them with the out of mesa textures until I liked it, then used the texture for both in and out of the biome. I am happy with the results. I keep the feel of Conquest's amazing Mesa biome feel with the usability of all of that clay for building.

Cool, I'm glad you figured something out. Those properties files can get quite complicated.
Speaking of which, monsterfisher, it looks like you have repeats nested in your stone ctm. Does it just only appear when there's enough stone? Or did you have to make each texture seamless? You're connected textures are really complicated, just trying to wrap my head around the genius of your work.
Hey, how you get access to those special blocks, like the cottage wall block 80:1-7? Do you just place wool next to logs or do I have to do some fancy command fiddling? My house won't be complete without it
I have OptiFine installed and connected textures ON, but the message on the double-tall grass ("to get rid of this message you need OptiFine or MCpatcher") is still there. -.-

Love your mod btw,
Thanks.
If your playing single player you'll need the "Single Player Commands" mod. (Or World Edit if your on a server.) You can then use //set to change the block id to whatever you need. An easy way to reproduce that block is to then do //repl 1 on any tool except the wand, then you can left click to select a block id and right click to change any other block to that id. If you haven't used SPC or WE before check out the World Edit Wiki... you'll find all sorts of awesome stuff there.
The problem with this is that Single Player Commands hasn't been updated to 1.7 yet, so your best option is World Edit on a server. I run my own private bukkit server and they are pretty easy to set up if you just read all the information... check out the bukkit wiki. Having a decent computer helps too.
There's also the "MonsterBlocks" plugin for a bukkit server, which lets you change block id's really easily... There's a link to that on the very first post of this thread.
Btw... we all love this resource pack. Let's hope Monster doesn't find something more interesting or important to do for AT LEAST the next 100 years or so.
Hey, I'm sorry since this has probably been asked before, but I was wondering, are we allowed to use this as a server texturepack?
(The FAQ says I should ask for permission before using a pack as a server texture pack. I thought it was kind of strange that someone would put their pack out for the public but then not want it to be used as a server pack, but I figured I'd go the safe and polite route and ask.)

I'm not monsterfish but Im sure that mean you can use it as your server pack but you have to ask before you edit and redistribute it for your server.

So I only need to specifically ask if I'm editing the pack?
In that case, is it possible to have more than one server texturepack? There's some additional textures I'd like to add (they don't edit anything with Conquest), would I need to ask permission to add those onto the pack if I had to combine the two to make both sets of textures my server texture pack, or is that fine as long as I don't alter Conquests' original material?

I have no idea if this was intentional or not, but I didn't see it in the update notes, so I thought I'd mention it.
With the most recent update of the texture pack, it seems like dark areas are significantly darker, and when I place a torch and then remove it sometimes the light from the torch doesn't disappear, or will act weirdly.

Would be awesome if a millenaire texture addon had been created
One suggestion though: The mossy stone is a pretty cool texture, why not have it just replace stone in forests, jungles, and swampland?
I think you could even add direction, so that it only appeared on the north face or whatever.
