Hey Monster, love your pack, but it seems connected textures aren't working? It's been awhile since I played minecraft, so I loaded it up, updated everything, then set my profile for 1.7.10, loaded that, patched it using mcpatcher, and then finally put your pack in.
However, it seems that the connected textures aren't working. Any help (from anyone)?
I havent used mcpatcher for ages, i use optifine.
But this Options -> Video Settings -> Quality and turn Connected Textures to "fast" should do the trick
Help i dont know how to change boime specific things?
You want to use the metablocks and/or change biome?
I suggest you either get worldedit plugin and the metablock plugin for it, or Worldedit mod and metacycler mod for it.
Then you can with both use a wand to EASY change biome and the blocks.
I did an unusual build using Conquest that I thought people here might enjoy. I made a car in Conquest. A 1930's style Cadillac from Keralis' vehicle tutorial series on YouTube.
"Note the pack cant be run as a mere .zip file
anymore in order to use the 1.7 version unzip the pack and put it into a
folder to load it ingame!"
SO I did that. I put it in a folder called conquest 1.9 and put that in the resource pack folder and minecraft can't find it.
You said put it in A folder. What folder? What name. Where should I put that folder.
If I just put the zip in, several textures don't work, and some villagers have default textures instead of Conquest textures.
On Edit: The how to install text file in the zip says: "
Now go into your game open the Resource pack selection screen and click on open resource pack folder and drag conquest.zip there." and that doesn't work either. Most textures are fine, but the several doors and some villagers have bad textures.
On Edit again:
I put the unzipped files in a folder named "Conquest_1.9" (WITH underscore) and the game found it, BUT, some doors (oak, spruce, bottom half of dark oak) are broken, and the librarian villager has default texture:

You put the conquest.zip in the resourcepack folder.
Now that I have Conquest installed, I'm getting undefined textures for oak doors, spruce doors, and bottom half of dark oak doors. Plus villagers are a mix of new textures and default textures. I spawned a dozen librarians and half of them were new textures and half old textures.
I read somewhere that I need to use MC version 1.7.10, but there is so much conflicting and incomplete information floating around about Conquest I'm getting very confused. Can I run it in 1.10? Can I use meta data in 1.10? I tried using "Conquest reforged" but that doesn't seem to work very well at all. Many of the textures are not as nice looking in "reforged". The dirt path, for example.
This thread gives one set of installation instructions, but the how-to-install text file in the zip gives conflicting installation instructions. This seems to be one of those many cases where the instructions on how to use it have all the information you need IF you already know how to use it, but not enough information if you've never used it before. The how-to-install videos are just more confusing. A bunch of views of cursors arrows flying around and clicking things that goes by so fast there's no way anyone could follow it. Where is the simple step by step list of how to use this?
Or at least a good FAQ with answers to basic questions like do I need 1.7.10 or can I use 1.10? Can I use meta data? How do I use meta data? I saw some reference about biomes in a video somewhere. What's that all about? How does it work? The information is scattered all over the place in incomplete bits and pieces. I've spent days trying to figure out how to use this, but I feel like I'm no closer to any answers.
I love, love, love the way the resource pack looks, and really want to start using it.

You can use conquest vers 10.8,for 1.7.10.
When i say 10.8 i mean the VERSION of the conquest pack itself, NOT the Minecraft version.
Thats what is confusing and i know what you mean.
I have conquest resource pack version 10.8 for Minecraft 1.710.
BUT if you really want conquest to work without having texture issues, you need to use OPTIFINE, and have the option: connected textures
to either fast or fancy. Otherwise you wil get the problem you are describing.
What i do recommend for you, is that you download the Conquest Reforge launcher.
It will install Otifine, Better foliage, FORGE and the pack for 1.10.2. It wil not interfere with your Minecraft, cause it wil have its own icon, its own
launcher. It wil also have the resourcepack in it. Its very easy to use.
Meta DATA are ONLY for 1.7.10. BUT the Conquest reforge mod has made a mod out of em instead. So they are now selectable blocks.
I hope this helps, if ya have more questions or issues, let me know. Im here to help

Thank you. Yes, I'm, using optifine, and connected textures work fine now. I am trying it in MC 1.7.10, but I can't get any alternate textures to show. I'm also using world edit, and when I select a block and use //set a:b it shows the same base texture no matter what meta data i use.
I will try the Conquest reforge launcher. The reforge I installed manually has an awful lot of undefined textures showing up. I must have dome something wrong.
On Edit: Launching Reforged I get a whole slew of error messages like these:
[OptiFine] Scaled too small texture: minecraft:mcpatcher/ctm/organic_and_soft_material/bird/owl, 1 -> 8
[12:24:43] [Client thread/ERROR]: Using missing texture, unable to load minecraft:mcpatcher/ctm/wooden_stuff/birchplanks/northsouth/dark/27.png, java.io.FileNotFoundException
[OptiFine] Scaled too small texture: minecraft:mcpatcher/ctm/organic_and_soft_material/carpet wolfskin/77, 1 -> 8
[12:24:43] [Client thread/ERROR]: Using missing texture, unable to load
There must hundreds of them flying by in the launcher window. Is that normal, or did something bad happen?
That looks abit odd, but there is alot happening in the launcher window tho.
Fr 1.7.10 i use the metacycler mod. Its easy to use and select the meta data blocks.
I also have worldedit, but i dont use that for meta blocks.
Everything in Conquest Reforged seems to work perfectly. It's freakin' awesome! Thank you!
Just in the first few hours of fooling around I've made better looking buildings than I've ever made before. It's nearly impossible to make a bad-looking building in Conquest. For practice/training purposes I'm building a little village, complete with villagers, in peaceful mode.

Hey! Thanks for your awesome work on this pack, I love it and it's been my favorite pack for a long time.
I just wanted to let you know that there doesn't appear to be a texture for a single iron bar. That is, one bar placed by itself. As soon as you put a second bar next to it, the proper texture shows up, but if it's one bar by itself, the texture is entirely transparent. You can see the hitbox as in my screenshot below but no actual texture. Thanks!

Im guessing you use connected textures? Run recommended version of optifine?
Yes to connected textures and I'm running Optifine HD C3 Ultra. I know it's not the newest version of OF but it is the version that http://conquestreforged.com/manual links to currently.
I use this ressource pack since four years, I never planned to change it. It's just the best ressource pack ever made.
So, again I came back on Minecraft for a new project and I wanted to use Conquest on a raw version 1.10.2 of the game with no mod but Optifine, is it still possible ?
I've downloaded the zip file from here, but it seems that it's not working well with the game.
Running Minecraft 1.10.2 with OptiFine 1.10.2 HD U D2.
Im running Mc 1.10.2, with Optifine 1.10.2 HD_U_C1 and Forge 12.18.1.2011.
I havent used mcpatcher for ages, i use optifine.
But this Options -> Video Settings -> Quality and turn Connected Textures to "fast" should do the trick
If you turn the shaders off, how does it look like then? Normal right?

Or you need to make sure you select Connected textures ON when useing mcpatcher to patch the resource pack
Oh, really nice!

Then right click it and unzip/unrar here.
Now MC wil find your pack.

Youre welcome, and YES its freaking awesome!
Enjoy
Download the installer for the whole package here: http://conquestreforged.com/launcher
And use it with the latest version of Minecraft. No need to go back to using 1.7.10.
That is correct
Enjoy
