Look I'm sorry, but every-time I look at this texturepack the similarities between itself and John Smiths are undeniable. I think you should credit him and his pack in your OP because you've obviously drawn some heavy inspiration from him.
Here is a comparison of some of your textures to his: (sorry I put the first two the wrong way around)
They really look like simplified copies. Sorry, but its the truth :-/

1) some of this stuff (like the map) haven't been in John Smiths texture pack when I made it.
2) I got my ideas from google.

and my second pack: junglecraft. And my bf's pack: HDcraft. I made junglecraft before I downloaded John Smiths.
Maybe we got our ideas from the same pic from google..?
3) Yes, they looks similar. Maybe some of my ideas came from John Smiths (because I used the pack before) without I've been thinking about it. Same as other texture packs I've been used.
I can't just make a list of where I got all my ideas from, its too much. If I saw a texture I wanted to make, I would ask the owner for the texture pack, and credit it.
And maybe they looks similar because both of the texture pack is RPG.
It's stylised in a classic darkish-RPG flavour (and rather reminiscent of Doku nd Dusty's work)
Yet, it has a simplistic 'edge' to it, whereas your palette and, most prominently technique really sets this apart, giving it that cartoon-esque appearance.
And I love it!
How long has this been in progress?
