hi, today i was playing minecraft with the john smith texture pack, i didnt like the lightmap so i decided to make my own, after playing with the colors i got an awesome effect, fake shadows! Because it doesn't add something but just edit something, it wont be gpu intensive, in other words you wont get a fps hit!




How to use:


1. Install optifine, download it here http://optifine.net/...3.1_HD_U_B1.zip [1.3.1]

2. Get any texturepack you want, as long they have lightmap0.png its fine

3. Open your texture pack .zip file with winrar or 7zip go to the map enviroments and replace the lightmap0.png file with this one: https://rapidshare.c...5/lightmap0.png ( This one is tweaked for JohnSmith i will be tweaking for more texture packs soon!

Dont know how to open .zip files?

No i took john smith as example... im only hosting the lightmap0.png

He created it, but not released it so i decided to make my own one when i was bored.
