What is it?
SupportCraft! is a , currently WIP, texturepack created by McAwesomePossum in the hopes of having a texturepack with plenty of mod support. Ever downloaded a sweet new pack along with a few mods and been displeased with the non-matching textures of the mod. I have. This is the solution. A simplish pack that is , in the future, going to support as many mods as possible so that they all look FANTABULOUS!
What it changes is: everything. To be more specific, the GUIs, mobs, blocks, items, and misc.
Why is it?
The default texture pack displeases me. I dislike the way it looks and decided to give it my own spizzaz.
Where is it?
Right here silly. Actually at the top :|

Honestly, the colors are meh, it's low detail even for a simple pack.*
There is absolutely no shading on this, just flat colors with some squares. Not stylized enough.
*See: Glass,
Interesting although the style is somewhat overused. Also, for plain dirt and stone, don't just use dots. Use the style you have used for ores.
I looked at your pack to see if I could get an idea and I don't think I like the idea. When making the pack, I tried to use different patterns and styles on each block so they don't begin to blend too much and look too similar. Yours for instance is based on rectangles which is neat but when you add a similar design to too many blocks it looks wierd. When changing the stone and dirt to look like ores then they don't blend well. I try to keep my ores ore and my stones stone.

I understand what you're saying, but being a 'simple' and 'cartoonish' pack doesn't mean add lots of shading and shadow. It's all about color variation and placement. By shading I think you mean adding noise and that would look ridiculous. I am tried to make a pack that looked dissimilar to the default. The more detail I add, then the longer it takes and the less cartoony it becomes, and the harder it will be to support lots of mods.
I am trying to not come off as being mean to either one of you gents. I appreciate your suggestions ;]
I know my ores are bad but that's beyond the point. My point is that the dirt and stone is very bland and default coloured. You need to use unique colours: red stone, grey dirt etc. Not just brown dirt. Grey stone. Red rose. Green grass. Dark Purple obsidian. You see? You should also try and incorporate more detail such as wood grain.

I actually remember a portal texture pack. Didn't it also have different colours, or is it because you can somehow tell what is what?

Wood Grain = Noise = bad in a simple/ cartoonish pack.
I still want the textures to look like what they're suppose to. If I made dirt grey then it would look like stone. If I made stone red then it'd look like netherrack. Like earlier, dirt should be dirt and stone should be stone. I have tried fooling around with the dirt like you mentioned but I didn't like the way it looked. It seemed more like gravel than dirt.
I just finished adding mod support for Vizixify's Vanilla++.
Probably the next one I will do will be HerbLore.
If any of you gents or gentettes would like a specific 1.3.1 mod, please leave a comment.
Added mod support for Ali4z's Wireless Redstone and JSut210's Armor Movement mod. Leave some feedback if you want a specific mod supported. I'm only doing updated mods atm.
I'm not sure if this is this the right Fez, http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/fez-by-edgepixel/, but I do like some of the textures. I didn't really see any grain besides the light shading on the birchwood. It's more retro and some ways more cartoony than mine but I think it is quite nice. My next updates will have small changes that will probably be sprung from ideas from Fez's pack. The only reason I try not to shade on blocks is that it's hard to make a light source for one side of a mult-sided object. Your suggestions are giving me some ideas for some of my blocks that I may implement. I appreciate your feedback and will try to change a couple of things.
I haven't actually used my pack personally, besides for a quick testing. I will probably have to sit down and actually play with it on and write down what I dislike. Anything written down will be subject to change :]
The portal texture pack completely changed the colours of dirt to grey, and glowstone to white, and slabs to black, and I was just saying that you could still tell which texture the block belongs to.
Beautiful Work. Simple, not too hard on the eyes either. I love how it supports several mods and that makes it a lot easier for me. You did a wonderful job.
