I have stopped working on this pack. If you would like to start a continuation, PM me for permission.
I'm sure you've seen lots of dark packs before, but you've also seen that most dark packs aim to be scary or disturbing. While Rain is dark, it is more inspired by the weather it is named after, aiming to be dark, but also calming. But pictures say a thousand words, so let's have a look at some.
-Cloudy night/day skyboxes (Tried, failed, may not get done)
-Either golem zombies or ghost zombies
-Fleshy ghasts with giant mouths
-Phantom-like Endermen
-Wool having a unique pattern for each color
-Brick stairs looking like shingles
-Fences having custom textures
-Pressure plates having custom textures
-Custom portal animation
Planned Changes
-Make clay more orange
-Redo leaves(?)
-Make redstone redder
-Redo metal/gem blocks so they fit in better
Supporting My Pack
You can support my pack by supplying pictures, videos, banners, or using the banner I already have!
You may use this pack in screenshots, videos, etc. However, the textures here can never be put in to another texture pack. If they say they got permission to use my textures, they are lying, as I have yet to give permission to anyone. This texture pack is also being protected by the TAU with a diamond emblem.
The diamond emblem does mean I am of a higher rank in the TAU, it just means that my texture pack is not to be used at all in another pack. Basically, what I just wrote.
After playing with this, I can say that the gloomy feel is awesome, but there are some tiling issues, mostly on the stone, that need to be fixed. And as a little nit pick, the leaves don't seem to have that sort of nice soft look that the rest of the blocks have, maybe chage them.

The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!

I have noticed the tiling error in stone as well, which is another reason it will be redone, but I'm not entirely sure what I can do with the leaves.
I might try redoing those anyway, thanks for the criticism.
Just tried it! It looks AMAZING!
I really like the feel of the pack and how the colors match really well, it's a freaking masterpiece!
I like what you did to the jungle leaves too!
Some constructive criticism: Diamond ore looks out of place. Underwater color doesn't fit with the water texture. The half slab color doesn't really fit with the rest of the pack.
other than that it's beautiful! <3
The ores will be redone.
Custom underwater coloring is something I haven't gotten to yet, but I'll do it in the next update since it's pretty simple.
I've noticed the half slab problem, shouldn't be hard to fix.
Thanks for the compliments, though. Your post on the TAU thread was especially encouraging.
This is just simply amazing!! After the original is complete would it be possible to make higher resolution versions? This is defiantly one of those packs I will keep coming back to every update. :3 +2

Please dispose of yourself carefully with fire as you are not needed on Earth for human sustainment.

Something to consider, but chances are the pack will never be finished. I'll probably lose interest and move on to another pack.
I hope this doesn't happen, though. I do think the pack works better as a 16x pack, and after I have a decent amount of the normal files finished, I think I'll instead start adding mod support. An entire 32x version of the pack would take even longer than the original.
Just wanted to let you know that I will be doing a Review on your pack on Sunday and should be release on my channel on Tuesday. Will be up on the Minecraft forums video spotlight section on Wednesday. Was looking for a 16x TP for this weeks Review and this is Great! From the pictures I am already impressed. Wanted to let you know that we will not be downloading until right before we record on Sunday. I like to give artist time just in case they want to make any changes before the review and that we have the most updated version. We like to do them with out looking too much at the pack. Only looked at the first 3 screenshots.

Wonderful news! I'm amazed at how well received this pack is. I'm glad you'll be doing this later, too, since I do in fact need a bit of time to change some things.
Everybody else, thank you for the support and criticism. I think this pack will stick around for a while.
Our first update is out!
I fixed most of your complaints, mainly redoing stone and ores. Diamond should fit in better, and stone is not nearly as blurry. (Though now I think it's too light.) Stone slabs have been darkened to fit in a bit better, underwater coloration has been added, swamps are no longer purple, and snow no longer consists of bubbles! Almost every flat plant texture has also been given random CTM that makes it flip horizontally, to look a bit more random and natural.
I attempted making a cloudy skybox, but I can't figure out how to make every face of it (including the top) seamless, so that will have to wait for a long time.
Unfortunately, I am currently at my mom's, on a laptop, so no screenshots yet, but there are some preview pictures in the changelog to make up for it, and the terrain.png in the normal screenshots section has still been updated.
Back at the Epiclink Style thread somebody (Never found out who) always gave a +1 to every update announcement post I made, I kind of hope the same happens here.

There's yet more to come!
I've gotten a few complaints about stone being too blurry now, I'll probably redo it.
I have to redo the ores anyway, some of them are too bright.

The snow was made kind of quickly so I could have another thing done when that pack was released. I noticed that it looked like bubbles, too.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
