UPATED, Stone blocks were to harsh to looks at so i have made them softer and darker.
I will be updating all texture to add some shading into the mix, remember this is my first texture pack, and i am no artist, this was just fun little project
NOW WITH DARKER SOFTER STONE BLOCKS WOODS HAVE BEEN COLORED TO LOOK MORE BROWN NOW ADDED MOJANG LOGO AND MENU TEXTURES
I need someone one to make a youtube review on this if your video as good enough and goes over both the pros and cons for the texture pack
so i hand drew everything (mostly) and colored it in using paint.net, i that version 1 was cool but would not use it, to play, so i made a usable simple vibrant version
a special thanks to my girlfriend for helping me draw some of the textures
hopeful you guys enjoy it and please read the disclaimer and terms bellow

Out in seriousness though, the cobblestone, mossy cobblestone, stone brick, and stone brick slabs need work. It is a bunch of black lines on cobble/mossy cobble, and the stone brick looks messy. Otherwise, it is an ok pack!
this is my first texture pack and am aware that it needs shading, i am trying to get used to the software i am using, coloring is very difficult, some of these textures are hard to work with (im no artist) but i get that things need to look a lot more rustic, yet smooth before i can fully call it hand drawn, this is more of a beta, and your feedback it excellent, there wil be some darker shading coming soon but working on other stuff at the moment, so soon very soon
But it is also suppose to look simple bright and vibrant, but if its not working for anyone then ill do some changes
Perhaps you could use... pencils and paper? Seriously, cobble is ugly; too scribbly. Get a piece of paper, 5x5cm. Then, lightly draw the outline of your block. Then, using coloured pencils, apply the first coat of colour lightly. Then, using a darker colour, shade the shadows and highlights with a lighter colour. Then, scan it into your computer and resize as necessary.
im not good at drawing (not a good way to start) this is basically a smoother version of the texture pack scriblecraft that has not been updated, i drew everything and then digitally colored it in, my first attempt of actually coloring with pencil, wasn't that good in my eyes, next version i will do shading with pencil but still digitally color, hopefully the pencil will give it that smoother 3d finish but for now, i'm just experimenting with what i can do, i have 2 kids and a business to run, its a tight shift.
I love handdrawn textures, it's a nice relief after looking through several pixely texture packs. However like others have said, you still need to do a lot of work, particularly in shading. I actually like your old textures better, they have more definition and they stand out more.
Usually handdrawn ends up looking cartoony, which is fine. Unless you want to draw realistically then by all means go for it.
I think you can pull something off like this, provided you have a couple hours to sit down and draw.
Notice how Scribblecraft doesn't really use gradient shading and instead just uses different densities of lines or speckles to make the texture less flat. However, Scribblecraft failed in the tiling. Your tiling isn't bad, but it's definitely better than Scribblecraft.
Give your textures more shading and definition. Since you have a handdrawn texture pack, I would either put slightly thicker black outlines around the textures which need it (leaves, vines, bushes, furnance, etc)...or I would use more contrasting colors. I love your wooden planks, they look fantastic. This is partly due because you used a very different shades of brown in making the lines in between the planks.
Try using a dark forest green on the outlines for your bushes and vines and see if they look any better. And use more contrasting colors in general, it will help make your texturepack less "flat".
this is the texture pack i am hoping to be like and i know i have a long way to go, like i said im experimenting but i hope to come out like scriblecraft when i get down and dirty with my srapbook, glad you like it.
