Yea, doing as mentioned above would work fine or you can even just remove the lang file which is a bit easier. There aren't too many changes made to it so you probably wouldn't even notice the difference and you would have the normal names for ender pearls and ender eyes.
Sheep, I vaguely recall you once having supported MCPatcher's connected textures for glass and bookshelves. Or maybe I've got the wrong pack. Either way, would you ever consider supporting this sort of CTM in the future?
Hi there. I lurked long enough, but decided to make an account just to say thanks for this resource pack!
I started with the Eldpack back in the day and later jumped to higher resolutions for a better experience. But you know what: Minecraft - at least for me personally - is best played at low resolutions. Don't know why, it just fits the best. That said, I'm not a fan of the vanilla textures...
After a longer break I recently came back to Minecraft and immediately searched for a cool texture pack. Had a lot to test but I like Pixel Perfection the most, because I love the color palette and feeling. No texture seems out of place. Everything fits together, as well as the the overall theme - a thing many packs seem to lack, even if it's just because they are incomplete. Together with some of the best pixel artwork I've seen in Minecraft, this - for me - makes it the best resource pack of them all!
That being said, I prefer the vanilla lore and so started changing some things out of personal preference. For example the Robot/Stone Mobs (Villagers, Voidwalker, Slimes) I'm no artist, so I searched other packs that could fit into the theme and modified the textures to my ability. I also started making 3D models for Pixel Perfection.
I'd like to share the files, but I "frankensteined" many stuff from many resource packs, so I'm afraid I used some things that are not supposed to be released without the approval of the pack-owner, which I respect. I don't remember every pack I used, but Chivalry and Woodpacker are among them.
Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure:
I hope you will continue working on this pack for future update-stuff. Maybe you can squeeze some alternative textures or mod support in there, too. Thanks for your hard work in making and sharing this pack. I very much appreciate it.
Oh, and a Happy New Year, too. (For all of you here :))
First up, thanks - having everything blend together and fit well without anything obviously looking out of place was probably the major focus of the pack so I'm definitely glad it's noticed and appreciated!
Secondly, wow, you've done a fantastic job with the models - they all fit really, really well actually!
I didn't want to go too crazy with the models as I thought they'd start to look out of place but honestly all the ones you've added there look right at home. I might have to start adding a few more models, making all the doors and trapdoors 3d would be a nice start!
Great job adjusting the mobs too, I can recognise the packs they came from but they still fit in perfectly.
I still intend on working on this pack in the future so who knows what I'll end up adding to it...
Sheep, I vaguely recall you once having supported MCPatcher's connected textures for glass and bookshelves. Or maybe I've got the wrong pack. Either way, would you ever consider supporting this sort of CTM in the future?
I did actually support them a while ago! Both of those ctm types were for older versions of the glass and bookshelves so that's why they're currently not supported - instead of redoing their support I focused on other things such as adding models, variants for all the normal textures and finishing off more mobs as they're all things that work without any mods and thus more people would see the changes.
I might add support back in for those ctm types in the future but I'll be honest, it's not the highest priority right now. Plus I'm not even sure if I can get the bookshelves ctm to work with the random ctm + models they currently have so they might be out of the question entirely!

Yeah, I don't see it as a priority either (especially considering MCPatcher is becoming outdated) and I didn't even think about the 3D models. I was mostly wondering what happened to the old support.
Actually, the real reason I asked is because of this: I missed the old glass CTM enough to re-create it myself - at least partially. (I have a lot of glass in my world...) I started with one type of stained glass block and then used it as a basis for the rest. I used the colours from the original blocks so the CTM textures remained consistent with the original palette. I never did the plain glass or any glass panes, however. If you'd like, I can PM you the textures so you can take a look at them and perhaps include them in the pack (if it suits you).

Ooooh, sounds great actually! I'd give you full credit of course.
Since I'm happy with my current normal glass texture I might create the ctm for that too just to finish off all the glass ctm, could be a nice addition as it's also used in optifine iirc which is still getting updated (even if mcpatcher seems to be drying up).
Quick question, I'm using PP in a custom world with a Hell Biome in the overworld. Since your pack changes the sky to green in the swamp, is there a way to make it go red in Hell Biome?
As of now the sky is the bluest blue in that region. And yes I realize that this isn't a purely PP related question, but you're the best texture artist I know so, why not try.
What's the mod that adds the hell biome? I could have a look at how they implement biome colours most likely.
If it is based on the swamp biome then I'd only be able to change the colours for that which means you'd have swamp biomes with a red sky too. Could be something to play around with though I suppose!

Alright, I'll throw them together and send them your way.
I'm indifferent towards credit for this. They're still your textures, and basically all I did was stitch them together. Honestly, don't worry about it - this conversation is credit enough.
I'll mention this here in case anyone else wants to chime in. I wanted to preserve the original design of the glass as best I could, so I only removed trim from the open/connecting sides of the glass. One obvious side-effect of this is the circular design that forms when 3 corners meet. Personally, I don't mind it (I think it gives the glass more character than it would have with no trim in these areas), but someone else might think it looks odd. Here's what it looks like:
I'm open for suggestions/criticism. I already have the files and tools setup, so making changes would likely require minimal effort on my part.
I'm having a problem with the resource pack. This is how the buttons for server lists are supposed to look...
But with Pixel Perfection I get this...
I am using Minecraft 1.8.0 with Optifine. Is there something wrong with the pack, or is it just me?
EDIT: I went through the files and confirmed that the server icons sprite sheet from Pixel Perfection matches the vanilla one, so that shouldn't be an issue. Is there an Optifine configuration file of some sorts in Pixel Perfection that could be causing this??

I think it looks great as is honestly, It's probably exactly what I would have done for the ctm on the stained glass!
Been doing some independent testing sheep, it seems like Hell and Sky biomes share a color palette with all deserts and savannahs http://i.imgur.com/xD0TW8W.png
It's not listed in that image, but when I color the swathe for desert and savannah on this image http://i.imgur.com/ZmYLDxk.jpg
Or even just the bottom left single pixel at 0,0
It colors the Hell Biome's sky if I'm doing the sky colormap, or grass if I'm doing that colormap.
Correct me if I'm wrong but without coloring desert and savannah too, I think its impossible to colorize the Hell and Sky biomes.
Sorry it took me a little while to get back to you but your findings are the same as mine unfortunately, it seems that the sky colours do infact overlap with the deserts and savannahs which means there's really not much I can do about adding a nice red sky unless we want deserts and savannahs to look the same way...
This is probably possible to change through mcpatcher though as IIRC it allows you to specify which biome the colourmap is for which would allow for custom colourmaps for both the hell and sky biomes. Unfortunately mcpatcher is looking like it might be discontinued in the near future as the dev has gone a bit quite recently, kinda hard to say what's going to happen...

Hmmm, I'm not sure why that is... I know it was working fine for me when I tested it with the 1.9 snapshots but I straight up just copied the files over to the 1.8 version without testing if the alignment was correct. However there was no reason for them to change the files and you say they're aligned correctly so it's hard to say what's going on there.
I'll give it a test with 1.8.8 and optifine and let you know if it's misaligned for me too. Thanks for bringing that up!

Hey sheep! Love love love this texture pack. You have one of those texture packs where I think to myself, "This is what default minecraft should look". Haha
I love everything about this pack, but I have one very minor complaint. I love your new sky boxes, but I miss the old crumbling planet/moon the old sky box had. The new planet and moon looks good but out of place. The old one had a very retro look to it and added this mystery to world. Like I said, its a minor nitpick. I freakin love everything else though.
Feel free to do with these files whatever you want. I'm happy to share them and hope you enjoy. If you notice any bugs or problems, please let me know and I'll try to fix them.
and these work? 100%? i can update these to 1.9... maybe not.... i dont know how to code rails or if the coding for them has changed... ill check it out.
If you have any problems, let me know. As I don't play with snapshots, I'm unsure if 1.9 causes any problems, but as soon as the official update drops, I'll update the files myself, if need be.
`yeah went to put these things in 1.9 and they didn't work :(.
I'm still working on getting the 3rd person view to look the same on the blocks I'm working on. but I have the positioning of the 1st person view and the Gui view down to a T.
not certain if it is necessary on every part of a rails model or not for 1.9. But I'm having to put in custom numbers for gui, first person right and left hand (which is seperate), and third person right hand for each model to have it render right in game.
Edit: learned a new format that saved me a bunch of time and and file size.
If you don't have the info on that just PM me and I can send you a code example and give you the info on where to put it in your .json file.

Curse PremiumAwesome works as always, Sheep. Thank you for your continued work.
I found a problem with bookshelves. It looks like they're missing a few polygons around the edges. It only seems to happen when CTM is involved.
This is pure vanilla by the way. No client-side mods either (such as MCPatcher and Optifine).

Curse PremiumNo worries Arcensoth, glad you're still enjoying the pack.
Thanks for pointing that out btw, must be an issue with the culling. Should be an easy fix!

Curse Premiumso i'm workin on some snapshot 3d stuff.... made some models that groove with your style.
this is what i got so far... they display the right textures when you break them, but i've still got other stuff to do.
the longer you look at them the nicer they look. like some kind of optical illusion.

Curse Premiumthe original idea i had was to do the redstone lamps inverted with the center out.
but i believe they would be too heavy. could totally do that for the diamond though without causing lag.
