Just the chorus plant item textures and the new boat textures to go and we're all good for a release. I updated a few older textures such as the bedrock and completed the endercrystal textures which I didn't realise I hadn't completed before. Couple of other small texture and item tweaks here and there too, it's looking pretty good imo!
EDIT: Oh, gotta do the flying wings item textures and model texture too but that shouldn't be very hard at all.

Good stuff, Sheep! I think your chorus plant stalk can use one more color though, it's looking a little flat. Excited to be using this in 1.9, thanks for keeping it updated!

Thanks guys!
I'll keep that in mind too, aeschere. I'll take another look at it once I've full finished the rest of the 1.9 stuff off.
Hi, can I have your permission to use your cobblestone block texture on my own resource pack if I don't release it anywhere and just use it myself? I guess I won't even need your permission but I'll ask anyway

All textures in this pack are 100% free use so you can use more than just my cobblestone texture if you want. You can also release your pack on the internet or whatever you want to as well, it's all free game.
Some news guys: I found some stuff I hadn't done this week (redstone changed how it was done, my iron bars model wasn't working, some textures looked really outdated, missing some gui elements and there were also some half finished gui elements too) so I've now done all of them - currently just working on the shulker texture as well as chorus plant item textures (I missed these too ) and the elytra item texture. I think after that I'm actually all done updating to 1.9 as well as having extra new stuff that wasn't from the 1.9 update.
I think I'll release the 1.9 update then release a 1.8 alt download just after because I need to make sure all the files in it are up to date as I've got two folders I'm working out of currently - one that's compatible with 1.9 where all my new work has been going and then one compatible with 1.8.
EDIT: Oh, trapped chests and normal chests are now slightly different colours too (birch vs oak)
You are doing a great job, just keep on doing it, maybe make the chorus plants a little darker purple, but that's just my opinion, you are one of the best out there, and I think this new updated resource pack will be amazing.
ALSO, you're banner for pasting in your signature is not working, the picture wont pop up, I am not sure if you are working on it, but I'm just saying.

Thanks buddy!
I didn't want the chorus plant to stand out *too* much from the end blocks and the purpur blocks so I kept the purple just a little lighter. I also know about the signature issues too - it seems cubeupload (the image site I host my pictures on) is having some server issues so it's not currently displaying. Hopefully it should go back to normal soon!
Also guys, just working on the last couple of things now, just some final finishing touches like alternate textures for the carrots, potatoes and beetroot plants, changing the brewing gui to fit the new changes, etc.
Here's how the changelog is looking for the upcoming update:
-magma cube, snow golem and shulker textures added
-redid lots of entities including: signs, chests, boats, slimes
-added a bunch of entity stuff: added crystal textures for dragon fight, added elytra, new boats, shields and updated zombie villagers
-redid skies for mcpatcher, now much more fitting
-new moon textures
-fixed and updated all models for 1.9
-added some gui stuff (boss bars, updated 1.9 stuff, server select arrows, etc.)
-added in all items for 1.9 (beetroots, elytra, new boats, all arrow types, updated compass and clock, chorus stuff, new potions)
-updated a few blocks (bedrock, end portals, mushroom blocks, etc.) and particle effects
-added in all new blocks (end bricks, beetroot, new animated command blocks, end rods, all purpur stuff, all chorus stuff)
-overhauled grass, water and biome coloring, should look a lot more interesting now!
I do have a question however.
For a while now I've been only slightly irritated by the fact that normal sand keeps the same rotation but red sand is rotated randomly by block variation. It looks really strange with the wavy lines when its rotated in different directions. Is this purposeful or a bug, and if purposeful, what's the easiest way for me to manually change red sand to fixed rotation always?
Keep up the great work sheep!
Oops, that should be on the changelog too because it's also fixed. I checked out the mesa biome to make sure everything was working and I noticed it so I fixed it a little while ago. For now, you can fix it by placing this in the 'blockstates' folder inside your pack. (download button is top right of that page in the link)
Anyways, I was fiddling with more colours today. Hopefully I'll be releasing this monday. Everything I needed to do for 1.9 is pretty much done now (in fact all the 1.9 stuff is done iirc, just doing some random last minute fixes and tweaks now, really)
What version are you playing on (minecraft version, optifine version and pixel perfection version?)
I'm using optifine with 1.8.8 and I'm having no issues although somebody was having issues a few pages ago if I remember correctly... Not really sure why...
I've been using Pixel Perfection for about a year now, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why this texture pack is so much darker than all the other packs. Even when I turn my gamma all the way up, it stays dark. I have no idea how to fix this, and it's kind of hindering my ability to enjoy your great pack to the fullest.

Do you play with MCPatcher? I'm no texture artist - so I'll let XSSheep correct me if I'm wrong - but I wonder if it could be the custom lightmap. Try removing "assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\lightmap_world0.png" temporarily to see if that helps any. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Hmm, I'm not sure why it should be dark even with the gamma all the way up, with my gamma all the way up it's almost exactly the same as vanilla minecraft... I do have a custom lightmap that will be used with optifine and mcpatcher but it's not too extreme. Pitch blackness inside caves is a fair amount darker than vanilla though so if it's mostly in caves and dark areas inside that you're having the problem then the lightmap is probably the reason.
Loving the new cherry blossom birch trees! I always have liked the bluish tint of the dark oak leaves.

Glad you like them! I think they look pretty good too, really make exploring and forests a little more interesting.
You're correct about the lightmap too, it's the only thing I can really think it would be as well.
-EDIT: Nevermind I updated, guess i was using an old version. You update fast! thanks again.
Glad that sorted it out for you! It was indeed an issue with my pack now that I remember, it was something to do with how the new fast leaves worked in 1.8 which mojang implemented.
I don't play with MCPatcher, but I do use optifine.
Try loading up the same area with just normal minecraft, no optifine and see if it's still dark. If it is, I'm not sure at all why it would be too dark, maybe try downloading the pack again.
If it isn't dark (and it's as you expect it to be) then open up the pixel perfection.zip in your resource packs folder and delete the file that Arcensoth mentioned just above, it should make it so your lightmap is the one used in vanilla but everything else will be the same.
EDIT: oh yea guys, the recent snapshot changed the layout for the new boats so I'm just redoing them as quickly as I can. They're the last thing I need to do before updating the pack (finally) !
2) Oh, I guess its just stylised. I kinda like it.
3) Ooh, these ores look nice.
4) Grass texture is pretty.
5) The sky.
I quite like this so far. Only been playing about with it for about 15 minutes mining but its pretty nice. Not sure if I will keep using it, I wanna try a few other packs too, probably.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Mojang Support is decent I guess.
