Oh nice, gonna get all the mobs you never did? like the ghast, zombie pigman, etc? Or do you just have the Iron Golem done?
This update will just have the two as I want to release it really soon but as soon as the update is out I'll be working on the ghast, zombie pigman and guardians (I think I'll update again after those three are done as they're the last 'normal' mobs to be done) and then I guess I'll get stuck into the two boss mobs. The wither and the ender dragon.
Once the two boss mobs are done, by my reckoning the pack will be 100% complete and apart from some more alternate textures and stuff I'll just be keeping up with the updates and working on requests for mod support.
As cool as mod support is, I personally feel like it should really come only after full vanilla support, particularly if the author of the vanilla pack is the one working on them. Many packs have died in the attempt to support mods due to the feeling of the a never-ending workload. Which is a reasonable feeling.
The difference between yourself and these mods is that the mods themselves had an artist to work on the textures for each addition as they came into existence. You, on the other hand, are one artist dealing with many mods and however far along these mods have already been developed. This is quite the undertaking. If you must support them personally, I would start with smaller mods that have a very specific goal in mind. For instance, IronChests is a "complete" mod. There are no known plans for expansion or that sort of thing, and there aren't that many textures to deal with, making it ideal as mod to support fully.
Of course, this is just my opinion. I wish you luck in whatever way you feel like tackling such things. Keep up the awesome work!
Well the thing is, all of the mods already do have full or partial support as TimothyWiggins127 has already done a lot of work on them. Basically I'm just filling in the gaps and going over a couple of things to make them fit better. It's going to take a lot of work - yes, but not nearly as much work as doing work for them from scratch.
That's why I have that specific list of mods selected as the ones I'll be working on. Thanks for the support though, I agree that it's not the best time to do it but it's mostly done so I just feel I should finish it off. Plus mod support has been one thing people have been asking for since the pack was created that I've never really done anything with until now!
Okay, V3.0 is out. Curse should hopefully update the download shortly. Changelog is in the OP as always. Here are a few pics of some things:
Going to get to work on ghast and pigmen straight away as well as a few more paintings as I just realised that I still need to do them before I'm 100% done too.
I'm loving the villager because it reminds me of 'Plankton' my favorite cartoon character! In fact, 'Planktonesque' type voices would be amazing for that little guy you have.
I'm loving the iron golem! It's like a super-mecha CitS robot
Yea, since the villagers were already inspired by the CitS mecha/robot things I decided to stick with the theme for the iron golem too (except obviously it's all black iron, no stone this time!)
Glad you like it though, I'm quite happy with how it turned out too.

Keep up the great work, Sheep.
Thanks as always glim!
You don't happen to mean plankton from spongebob squarepants do you? It's the only cartoon plankton I can think of at least!

The very same, sorry (I just get bombarded with it around evening meal time) ...unless there's an impostor plankton I'm not aware of knocking about!
It seems quite appropriate that the Squidward looking Mojang variety with the droopy nose should be replaced by Plankton. Hahaha! Sweet revenge, Crabs!

Awesome! I've seen a bunch of spongebob squarepants, was definitely one of my favourite cartoons growing up. I should watch it again and see if it still holds its charm for me.
Also I would LOVE it if there was a plankton villager replacement pack. Especially with the sounds and all!
Here's a few pictures of my World with your pack! (Though I'm not sure why the Leaves don't have gaps in even though I play on Fancy, I think It's a Optifine thing). :-)

Simply amazing.
First 3 pictures are of my main "hub" with Tunnels to XP farm and Spawn chunks (Ice tunnel is Super speedy!!)
The next is my Basic Nether mostly out of Cobble at the moment with Red Stained glass!
The last picture is of my End Realm with a Healing crystal thing still alive even after I killed the dragon ;-)
Wow!
That looks fantastic, you've really made some nice stuff! Really like the underground garden with the dragon egg in particular. I've always loved stuff like that. Very neat.
The fast looking leaves probably are an optifine bug too, it's not a problem for me with mcpatcher and 1.8.1 or just 1.8 or 1.8.1 so yeaaaaa...
Yea, for some reason curse sets the download as 1.7.2 if I select 1.7 and 1.8 as compatible versions. Might just tick 1.8 next update so it doesn't cause that. Bit annoying, really thought it would just show the latest compatible version in the download button but I guess not...
That's not an actual error, silly; just a joke name replacement for Bright. EDIT: Removing false information.
I have to say, this is my favorite texture pack ever. The resolution that I prefer, great pixel art, coolest skybox I've ever seen (though you should take advantage of MCPatchers custom colors to make the fog blend into the sky), faithful to the default style. It's, well, Pixel Perfection!
Hey, I've been noticing a small bug(?) for a while now.
This happens when putting the brightness on Bright. It's nothing that really matters, honestly, but I felt like I should address it.
I actually fixed that just last week because I noticed it too while testing mcpatcher stuff now that it was up to date. Will be in the next update (I think I changed it so it just says 'Max brightness' or something similar)
Thanks for letting me know though, it's people like you that have helped the pack get as far as it has. Always nice to know there are people willing to find and point this stuff out to me!

Thanks mate!
I have actually made the fog blend into the sky although it's a little bit out, will edit it accordingly. I think I tried to make the fog match the lightest parts of the skybox though, not the overall blue.
I'm going to be playing some minecraft over LAN with my friend very soon - first time playing it properly for a couple of years so it should be great fun. I think I might try and take over a ravine like you did, looks really good!
Anywho people, I'm working on mobs again. Also checking through the other folders to see if there's anything else I want to work on but I think I'm actually pretty happy with all my other textures for once.
I'll try and squeeze in a few more alternates though for some of the more common textures like wood logs or something.
Nice catch, never noticed that before but I'll come up with a solution for the next update!
Also for anyone who's wondering, I'm doing ghasts and zombie pigmen currently for the mobs in the next update and I'm also working on a new glass texture. The current one is sort of a random colour and doesn't really fit with any of the other colours in the pack. Also gonna change the style a little bit so it doesn't look quite so busy.
Hopefully having ghasts and zombie pigmen done should mean guardians and magma cubes are the only mobs left to be done apart from the two boss mobs - wither and ender dragon... (man am I not looking forward to doing the ender dragon... )
Can't really take a pic of the shooting ghast but the ghast is getting there. Basic layout for the pigman is down too but I haven't really done any other shading or details yet.
Thoughts on the colour? (it's part mechanical, hence the black iron - mechanical jaw and tentacles, might add some vents or something if I can find a way of implementing them that doesn't look stupid too)
Any thoughts about the colour though? I'm really not sure about it - seems kind of bland currently. I might actually add in some other colours to it so it doesn't look so dull.
Oh and I figured this was the best way of showing the shooting ghast so far (with a bit more work done too)

Curse PremiumHmmmm, quite strange! I'll have a look into it, not sure why they'd be invisible though...
I never noticed that the latest v3.0 Update says it is for Minecraft 1.7.2 while v2.9 is for 1.8. Accident on Curse?
Hey everyone, I'm back!
