Yea, wasn't available when I the support was re-added but I'll get onto that tomorrow. Shouldn't take too long so I'll release another little update when it's done with that and a few more models.
Sorry for the silence, had a week off to myself to work on some other random pixel art and to hang out with friends. I heard through the grapevine that the 1.8 prerelease might be this week so I'll get the red sandstone, wooden banner and armour stand sections and the final door done asap!
Going to make sure the pack is 100% ready for the full 1.8 release. I might also do the tweaks needed for the enchanting gui so that it will look proper with the changes they've made in 1.8. This also means it will look weird for those people using 1.7 but there'll only be ~ a week till full 1.8 releases (probably) so I don't think that's a big issue.
I'll also make sure to have the updated better grass and leaves textures in there too.
Man, you're using such an old version of the pack, it hurts my eyes!
The fire texture I made pretty recently might be better than the one in the version you're currently using. It's a bit shorter IIRC so it would be easier to see through.
The transparent gui is a good idea though, I might make that available as an addon. I imagine a fair few people would like that!
In 1.8 they got rid of the fast leaves texture so I had to add the small tint to make the leaves look okay with fast graphics. Unfortunately like you said, this kinda stuffs up how the leaves look in optifine currently but when it's updated to 1.8 I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a problem (I hope!).
-all 1.9 textures have been added including prismarine, sea lantern, rabbit items, mutton, etc.
-added a fair few models for 1.8
-ported over a lot of ctm features to vanilla 1.8
-fixed a bunch of 1.8 specific issues
-readded support for the revamp of the better grass and leaves mod
Seriously though, thanks, I'll pop that into the pack right now (and I'll mention that I nicked the .png from you for the update in the changelog too)
I'll also have a look at the server arrows, there are a couple of gui things I'm doing right now (just fixed up the enchanting gui and I'm currently just finishing the book gui too)
I have to say that I'm very impressed with this resource pack. The one thing I would complain about however is that the font is a little hard to read and ideally I would have suggested something to make the villagers faces more clear since it can be a little difficult to see their eyes. Maybe an x32 in the future perhaps to address these issues?
Doubt I'll do a 32x due to how much work that would mean but I might redo the font in the future. I've had a few complaints about readability with it so might be time to change it up and make it more legible. I personally don't think being able to see the villagers eyes is important though so they'll stay the same, sorry!
Thanks for the feedback though, glad you like the pack for the most part!
Anywho, working on rabbits and red sandstone, gonna get them done in a day or two so they're ready for the full 1.8 release!
Couple of things I forgot to show, just random 1.8 stuff:
All the items, banners (including patterns which were slightly tweaked to look better but still have the same shape so your banners should still work as in default), armour stands, door, fence and fencegate variants are done now. Oh, gui is now up to date too. Just gotta finish off the red sandstone and rabbits and I might do another update because it seems there were a couple of glitches with the old version and I HATE glitches in releases!
Also added a few more variants to some textures to help improve tiling as well as a couple more 3d-ified models. Feedback on the reeds in particular would be great though, they're the only models I've added so far that I'm really not sure about.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the fences and gates are all custom textured, not just using the plank texture.
Also, I fixed the random rotation on the red sand and added some variants for it as well as finishing off the red sandstone. Just need to finish rabbits now!
Hmmmm, I might lower the contrast a bit then, it is actually a reasonable bit higher than the normal sand... Thanks for the feedback!
Also for anyone who's interested, I'm redoing/updating the mod support for better foliage. Just redoing a couple of things like the hanging netherrack vines as I've changed the netherrack texture and redoing the old textures so they're 16x and fit with the pack even better. I'll also add new textures for the coral if I can finish it in time before 1.8 drops.
Great work on the custom models! I love them, and the reeds look great, and those doors are beautiful.
I've been thinking, what about the Tripwire Hook? The missing textures in the notched corners look a bit odd. It's not much, but it would look great.
I'll be updating as soon as the rabbits are done, currently working on them again. I did take a little break from them and made a few more variants for blocks as well as redoing the shading on some of my old mobs. I intend on fixing ALL my old mobs but I think I'll finish up the rest for the next update. I also completed the blaze because it was a super simple mob to texture. I think it's kinda cute!
Sorry for the triple post but version 2.7 is up. I've completely redone the support for better foliage, redone almost all old mobs so they have much nicer and smoother textures and shading and also added a bunch of stuff including rabbits, blazes, some extra 1.8 stuff and more models.
Did you know MC uses a different model when fence gates are adjacent to a cobble wall? When that happens your pack give the ol' missing texture checkerboard.
The right and left inside edge of the birch door has a transparent face, that's probably supposed to be opaque. Put the door next to a block of contrasting color to see it easily.
I really like how your colors work together, most blocks harmonize much better than they do with default. Kab's example village definitely looks more attractive than with Default, or Lithos. There's a good bit of custom modeling and random alternates. Your font, however is even less legible than Mojang's and would drive me crazy in minutes, if i didn't know how to stack packs, and replace it with a different typeface.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, eleazzaar! Glad you think everything works well together - that was a major focus for me once I got a consistent style down.
I thought I had the fence gates done (even the cobble wall one, I'm pretty sure I remember testing it?) but you're right, it seems I am missing it for the normal oak fence gate. The other variants are all working correctly. Easy enough fix though, thanks for letting me know.
As for the birch door, really not sure why it's doing that as it works perfectly when there aren't any blocks placed right next to it. I thought it was a glitch but since it seems to be okay in other packs and even with my other doors it must be something wrong with the model. I'll probably try redoing the model and hope that fixes it I suppose...
You're also not the first person to mention the font, there was at least one person on the last few pages and many more scattered throughout the thread so yea, I'd say it's as good a time as any to make the font more legible!
Im hesistant about updating the pack to 1.8... can i use the same textures for 1.7? (Besides the HUD obviously).
The newer versions with 1.8 support are 100% backwards compatible with 1.7 apart from the enchanting gui. But that's easy enough to take out of an older version of the pack anyways so that's not much of an issue.
I'll be posting another update within a few hours though with a fix for the oak fencegate as well as (hopefully) a new font and a fix for the birch door though so maybe hold off downloading until it's fixed. Unless those issues don't bother you too much of course!
Yea, that's true. I might actually make an addon cos I still quite like it. Anyways, update is up but the front post isn't changed just yet. I'll do that after dinner. Enjoy!

Indeed it was, seems like opl's tool was automatically adding the cull face on those sections. Fixed now though. Also found a similar error with the jungle door but that's all gone now too.
Hey XSSheep I love the pack but, I wish you would retexture the witch, pigman, and the iron golem plus, I know its a lot to ask but can you also texture the ender dragon?

Curse PremiumIIRC it's quite a small and simple thing so it would be very easy to make a little model for it. Thanks for the suggestion!
