Still one of the few 16x packs that makes me drool. I can't do pixel art this well at 32x, and that makes me feel ashamed. D : The pack still looks amazing.
Thanks kerii!
The work you've been doing for dokucraft has been fantastic though. That being said, I really hope you do eventually make a pack of your own. I really think that would be something to see!
Also guys, been working on a new cobble and also some mob stuff. I've done most of the slime and have been redoing a bit of the ghast (it was pretty much done before, I just never finished the last bits and now that I looked at it again, there were a lot of bits I wanted to be changed...)
Here's a pic of the cobble, still experimenting with it though so it's not final. Will post pics of a hopefully finished slime and ghast in the coming couple of days!
Friend, can I just say it's been a while since I took a look at your pack, and I'm extremely impressed by what you've done in the last year. Your sandstone textures just kicked my brain into inspiration mode for what I could do to play with my own, and all the blocks in your village pictures are phenomenal. While I don't use mods like Better Grass myself, the work you've done to make it work with your pack is fantastic, and it looks great.

Brava, fellow texturer. You're doing it right.
Thanks jehkoba, can't wait to see what you end up doing with your sandstone!
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for making a spectacular texture pack that I keep using from time to time. The font is a bit small, and I just disable it. Perhaps it would be possible to include a slightly larger version? Otherwise, it's one of the very few texture packs that really stands out to me.

Yea, I'm completely fine with the font now after using it for a bit, but I think I will make it a tiny bit larger when I have time, just so a few of the letters can be a bit clearer to read as some of them can be kinda difficult atm. Thanks for the compliments though, I'm glad you like the pack!
Got a little distracted from the slimes but for a good cause - I had a burst of inspiration and am now working on the villagers.
Will post pictures when I've fully completed at least one of the villagers. I have basic outlines for all of them except I'm still working through ideas for what clothes and what style of clothes everyone should have. Priest is most likely going to be the first one to be completed though!
First, let me say this is one of the best 16x texture/resource packs I have seen, the attention to detail and excellent use of a palette that is not too brightful, nor to de-saturated make your pack a very well-balanced work that is very good to the eye. I find this pack perfect for my survival plays too, because you don't change radically the appearance of the blocks to make them look like something completely different, which I find even better.
Now, I understand that all your work takes time, but I'd like to see mod support for some popular mods in the future. In fact, I started to work on one, I took some textures from the pack, and started making mod support for SimpleOres. It's not great, since I am a novice pixel artist myself, but it at least looks good enough, in my opinion.
I am almost finished with the blocks right now, so soon I should be able to post a screenshot or two to show what I have done, but first, I would like to know if you would be interested in having this added as mod support for your Pack.
Cheers, and keep working, you are a great pixel artist.

I just added the mods section to the OP, so I would put a download in there with full credit to you. Is that ok with you?
Here is a screenshot of my progress on the SimpleOres mod support. All the blocks are done, and that was the easy part, now I am going to work on the items, and this time I will actually do more than play with filters.
The metal furnaces have placeholders in the front right now, since I think they need to be done from scratch and that will take a bit of time, but they will stay like that for now.

This is my signature. Yes, there's nothing interesting here, so carry on.

Looking great so far! I think the dark blue block out the front could use a little more contrast though, it's kinda swamped at the moment and you can't really make out any details.
Just a thing, would you like me to make an extra iron bar texture and metal furnace texture for you just for this mod? Shouldn't take me very long and would prevent them looking just like the normal pack ones/old versions of textures. Just let me know and I'll whip them up as soon as I get up tomorrow.

Done, though the dark blue block (sinistite), is a bit difficult to get right without making it look like a dark version of mithril (blue, at center), which could be confusing gameplay-wise, I think it now looks better.
On the metal furnaces, while I would really appreciate if you took your time with them, I am aware that you are working on the villager mobs right now, so I'd rather let you finish them first, plus, as I see it, vanilla game texturing has a higher priority than mod support. Again, I appreciate the help, but I can wait as the I pushed the furnace to be last to do in my list and I can't wait to see how the villagers would look in Pixel Perfection.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Le me, smelting a copper and tin bar in the Fusion Furnace to make bronze, and also showing the GUI. I also did the other metal bars, the onyx gem and the alloy chunks.
I played a little with the cracks and the decoration, but I admit I slapped over the inventory as it appears in the Furnace GUI.

Ooooh, great job with the gui, it looks great! (that ingot is a lovely colour too :P)
I will make a metal furnace for you now as it shouldn't take me too long and I need a break from villagers. They take so long!
I'll send it to you in a PM so yea, expect that in a couple of hours/days
I just wanted to let you know that this is my favourite texture pack ever, since I downloaded it I have never played without it. Keep up the great work!
Just out of curiosity, will there be any plans in the pipe to add textures for certain mods? I mean mods that a huge chunk of people use and that aren't going to be phased out in a week, mainstays like BuildCraft and such.
I know it would be a lot of work, but in the same way that Minecraft itself needs some artistic love, BuildCraft and some other mods are pretty ugly (weren't made by artists) and in need of a face lift as well.

Yes, mod support is definitely planned for the future although I do want to get vanilla stuff done first. Only mobs and horse armour icons to go now though.
I will occasionally add in mod support from time to time, but it will most likely just be smaller mods like better grass and leaves which I also use all the time. So yea, if it's small and I like to use it, chances are I'll make textures for it for the next update.
Another option is for people to make their own support such as what AztecEmp is doing. I'm perfectly happy to make a few textures to help out or adjust to make them blend better together and then once complete, I'll add it to the mod section in the OP crediting whomever contributed in the making of that mod support.
Figured I should let everyone know what the plan is for the next update!
Since I've done the new cobble and a whole bunch of CTM for it, I really wanted to release an update because the cobble is such an improvement. However, since cobble by itself doesn't make a great update, I've been working on a couple of other things to go with it.
So far I have new signs, tweaked minecarts, new lead texture for those using MCPatcher, tweaked pigs faces (removed the weird eyebrows), some more sounds (rain, door sounds, flowing water and lava, couple of other things - they're similar to vanilla but less harsh and are really quite nice. If people don't like them I'll make them an optional download), updated better grass and leaves mod support, silverfish, and a couple of other random things.
Before I release the update I just want to finish off the slimes and a new glass texture that would work well with CTM. So yah, villagers will be coming in the update after the next.
Ok guys, update is *almost* there. I'm working on cats at the moment and just finished up this little guy (the ear and top of the head looks a tiny bit different from this pic but it gives you the general idea):
New glass and door too (and the sign I finished a while ago):
Hay Bale and cobble are just too good! Good improvment for the pack. I also like how your villagers are going
Thanks hoodoo!
Hopefully I'll get the villagers finished soon, it'll be nice to have them out of the way. I'll still have to do horses at some point though which are probably going to take aaaaaaaages....

Also people, as of the next update, the pack will be featuring my cat. Make sure you treat your kitties right!
