Thanks for liking me! Do you think you will ever finish this pack now that you are slowing down? The default armor is driving me crazy, but this pack is too good to switch to a more complete one. I fear the day you stop with minecraft, I will miss this pack.
Well minecraft is going to stop being updated someday, that might be the day I stop updating. Although I'm slowing down I have no intention of stopping for the moment.
Next update will have all the gui completed, some more blocks, a couple of new mobs and now that you mention it, I might even get some more armour done.
There's really not too much more I have to do now, just finish the armour and icons, and then finish the mobs. As far as I'm aware, the pack would then be completed.
I always did like coming on to these forums and checkin' out your thread to see if there was anything new; I think it's only natural that there are times when your work slows down, even if it's something you like doing as a hobby. I am of two minds when it comes to Minecraft updates.
On one hand, I like the updates -- they're free and more importantly, it's more content for us to play around with. It's fun to see what Mojang comes up with and in turn fun to see what these new things will look like in my favorite texture packs. On the other hand, as of late I've become a little irked, especially because of Mojang's paving the ground work for the Mod API. I can understand that these changes are very necessary and I do support the Mod API but the new launcher and changing how textures work not once, but twice, seems like things that should have been done before the game was called final. But that's just my opinion; I'm not really complaining since the only mods I use are MCPatcher and Optifine and those get updated relatively quickly, not to mention the updates are free haha.
Still, when Minecraft does stop updating, I do think I'll be a bit sad too since I do like seeing the features they add
In any case...back to your texture pack haha (I got a little rambly) will you also work on Better Skies support? Just wondering I noticed you took it out (unless I'm going crazy) and I always did like how you did the night sky and your clouds, even if you didn't like them as much as I did

Yea, I agree about the texture changing format stuff and also about no more minecraft updates, I would be sad too...
As for the betterskies, I am working on them but not as my main focus atm. The daytime sky is about halfway done and I haven't started on a new nighttime sky yet but I think it will be done a little faster than the daytime sky anyway. Hopefully I'll be happy with these skyboxes though, I don't really want to have to redo them AGAIN because I felt like they weren't up to par (that's why I got rid of the last 2 :P)
I thought it was only the horse inventory to go but it turns out I need to do these icons as well. Hopefully they won't take very long! Can't leave them default though, they're ugly as sin.
Could we get a sneak peak of what youre working on?
Yea, as fuzz said, it's mostly just gui with a few changes to items and textures here and there. Expect the update to be very soon though, I'll release it when I get at least the items and blocks from 1.6 done. The gui is pretty much all textured now so that will also be in the next update.
I found out soon after posting but didn't edit the post; the black hearts issue was with a mod that was in early development. Also, do you have any ideas for new armor floating around in your head? I am looking forward to playing the new update with your texture pack. It will be nice to start playing the game wight away with the textures I love.

Thanks, glad you figured out what was causing the issue too!
I do sorta have ideas, diamond will be using black iron and diamond (obviously), chain is going to be scale armour with a viking style influence (scale looks better in 16x than having those big holes) and gold is going to be a nice shiny gold chestplate, red or purple trim with either a crown helmet or a more spartan style helmet, still undecided on that though. Spartan style would be badass though.
Update will be very, very soon now too, in less than a week if I can sort this issue out! (issue is being posted below fyi)
Aether is out in Alpha, perhaps when it's updated a bit more we can work on the altering textures to match aether?
I remember I had aether support in my old pack and that was the only mod I supported! If I get bored with finishing gui and armour I might doodle out some textures for it. Any help would be lovely though! (if you have time, you could alter some textures and I could pop them in the OP for anyone who's interested)
Finally, in regards to the update, just working on the status icon things now. Came across this annoying as hell issue though, the timer on beacons and potions is grey on my paper background and hence looks pretty terrible. If we get the snapshot with the resource packs thing going on this week and we can tweak text colour I might be able to do it, otherwise I gotta think of another solution.
Pic of the issue (oh, the icons are very, very unfinished, I'm just getting the outlines done, then I'll add detail):
EDIT: forgot to mention as well, apart from these icons, the gui is 100% done now. Looks pretty neat if I may say so myself too! Far better than having the bright default gui screens with this pack anyway.
I'm really glad to see so much progress on this texture pack. I have been watching this pack for and it is the best one I have ever used. I can't wait to see the new armors, and hopefully, the new skyboxes. You should have left in the old skybox with the clouds for now. Then replace it when you finish the new one. Favorite pack by far!

I like the spartan helmet idea, and red is a popular combination with gold. For that reason you may want to go with purple for originality. I may even suggest you try a dark green. As for the potion effect, I do like the paper background but unfortunately I can't really help with the text issue. I hope you can find a solution!

I agree with the skybox comment. I really liked them before, it was one of my favorite aspects of the pack.
Also, I started getting annoyed with the a and o looking similar so I shifted one pixel in it. Just thought I would show you since I'm already posting.
Thanks guys and thanks wulf, I changed the 'a' to that in the font.png so it will look like that in the next update.
Oh and I'll be using purple with the gold. The green is going to be used with iron armour on horses. I feel dark green just goes best with iron!
Also, if you guys want the skybox, just download the old version that had it in it and copy and paste it into the 'environment' folder in my pack. Should work fine.
Also, also, new resource packs give me unique log tops for all trees, unique birch leaves and a couple of other excellent features. Very happy with them so far!

Curse PremiumSweet, hope you enjoy/enjoyed it!
First exam tomorrow morning guys, just 10 more days and I'm done!
Then I'll finish off the last couple of things (hardened clay, horse item stuff and the new horse inventory screens) and release.

EDIT: Tested the download and it's fine, must be something on your end. Mod conflict maybe?
