Optifine has been updated for 1.5.1 and did recently add custom sky support though I've found it to be a bit buggy.
I fixed most of my issues by moving the sky0 folder from the terrain folder to the environment folder and then going into each .properties file and changing the path from
source=/terrain/sky0/WhateverHere.png
to
source=/environment/sky0/WhateverHere.png
For some reason however, my star skybox would not show up for me so I just patched my .jar file with Optifine and MCPatcher at the same time, using MCPatcher's custom sky support in lieu of Optifine's (had to click the "off" option in the menu otherwise the cloud skybox would've been messed up for me too, must be 'cause of some conflicts or other).
Also, I believe that the skyboxes in Pixel Perfection are still WIP so they've not been properly implemented anyways.

Yea, the skyboxes just shouldn't be loaded really, but optifine is trying to load them anyway... I'll be releasing a little update very soon without the skybox folder in it for the moment and with the new cherry blossom stuff and also a new sun and tweaked moon.
Also, are the skyboxes in the terrain folder for you? Because for me they're in the environments folder and there isn't a terrain folder anymore as everything in it was moved to environment as required in 1.5...
I have a strange bug using this pack, the skybox is white with "missing texture" written on it...
-snip-
I use Minecraft 1.5.1 with Optifine :/
For now you can either delete the skyboxes folder which is inside pixel perfection, then terrain, then there should be a folder called 'sky0' which you can delete.
Either that or search the optifine options in-game and look for something to toggle custom skies - then turn it off.

Oh no, I use my own personal remixed texture pack, which includes some textures from Pixel Perfection like the star and the cloud skybox, so stuff in the terrain folder was still there since MCPatcher's conversion tool didn't move everything.
Even when I had moved everything from the terrain to the environment folder and changed the path in the .properties files Optifine still did not render your starfield at night. It only showed black abyss so I think it's a bug on Optifine's end since if I patch with MCPatcher everything shows up fine (thank heavens I was able to get Optifine and MCPatcher to work concurrently. It was really depressing just seeing a black night). I also tried using LoafCraft with Optifine to see if her starfield would show up but it did not.
Everybody wishes they were as good as someone else. Can't escape it.
Yea, that's true. I have to say though, I'm quite happy with my STYLE of textures at the moment, it's just the IDEAS behind them I'm not too happy with. Everyone seems to have better ideas than me!
Also everyone, there will be a smallish update tomorrow that fixes a few things with the current version such as people having weird stuff show up in their sky, flowing lava that hurts your eyes at a distance, no animated still lava, random black splodge on the gold armour, and a couple of colour tweaks.
There will also be a few changed blocks like the iron door and iron bars and also some new things like that mountain biome specific CTM I showed, a few new variants, new sun and tweaked moon (made them so they are 100% pixel art, no blur filter used to make them blend with the surrounding sky, now it's all by hand) and hopefully a new font that will work, no matter if the minecraft font system is stupid and broken.
Well here's a pic of the new font and new iron bars and door. I made the iron door and bars black to match the iron block. Now the iron bars work as alternate windows too!
(also new sun in the pic, I made both it and the moon look like they are higher up in the sky)
Oh, there's also the new NORMAL quartz block sides. I also made quartz a bit brighter and 'quartzier' but it still blends in fine with the other textures such as wood (which is why it's also in the pic)

Curse PremiumSays you!
Half the time I see a new texture you've made it makes me want to go back and remake one of mine... :/

EDIT: Apologies for the dark picture!

Curse PremiumThank you!
There's actually a fan continuation of Eldpack in the texture pack discussion section of this forum. Just thought I should let you know!
Found it!
Thanks for tip
Looking forward to your update
