I'm not overly sure about the bgcolor. It's quite nice as it is, I personally would like some "grit/dirt/rough" in there though.

I tried making it gold like the text in my sig but that's not really working either. I'll definitely try out that dirty rough sorta idea you've given me though, will probably add some much needed details.
I'd like to se the "pixel" part centered, looks good otherwise. Loving the updates you are doing, so nice!
I had it centred originally but it just looked weird. The background on the main menu helps blend in the fact that it's off to the side though, just because there's so much going on. Glad you're liking the updates though!

Also started to make/redo the gui. I had some parts from my old pack but I've started replacing them with new ones. This is the new experience bar, health and food bar. The block selector thing down the bottom is the next thing to change!
Just wondering how you go about choosing colors, do you use photoshop and/or anything else?
I use photoshop for drawing with my tablet, paint.net for everything pixel art.
I also don't have any technique for picking colours, just trial and error to find something that goes well with my other textures, then use hue shifting to get the highlights and shadows. I also use colours I've already used in my pack before but that's just a consistency thing.
I have been convinced to write a tutorial in the near future and I will provide a link here for all those who would be interested. Hopefully that will help give insight on my particular techniques and such!

Maybe I'll have to do some.... experimentation....
I don't really want to replace the grass though, just because the current one can use ctm so easily. Having grass with a pattern like that would be horribly difficult to add ctm support to. Like I said though, I'll do some experimentation, if I can think of an idea for a few ctm variants then I might just have a new grass for next update!
I will post pics if I make something I'm happy with though, ctm or not.

Nah, I think I'm going to actually add it to the pack myself. I was thinking about it this morning and I decided my other grass is just ugly without CTM (and even with it in many ways).
So yea, I'm gonna try and make a newer version of it as soon as I finish the item selector thing for the gui!

Yea, although unintentional, the colour scheme is surprisingly similar to default, with a few exceptions of course. Glad you like the pack though!
