I still have to make a new obsidian, sandstone, netherrack and a completely new lava animation before I'll be happy... Basically this is an overhaul to make my pack more... I dunno the term (well, I just forgot it as I was about to type it) but I want everything to look like it belongs together. I've also been making sure I use colours and materials that were already used before which is why my iron door shares the same metal as on my iron bars and little things like that. I also made sure my wood things shared common colours too so I had to change some wood things as well.
C&C on any of the textures would be appreciated and yes, I realise how inconsistent my iron is (pinkish coppery metal and black iron, it was a stylistic choice and they still go well together)
Also update is gonna be after I do the obsidian, diamond and gold ore blocks. I have the obsidian pretty much finished now and I have a good idea for the gold block. Any suggestions for the diamond? Oh, I've also done a few of the textures from the latest snapshot too so that will be there in the update so it can be used with the snapshot!
Glad you like it!
I also made a new gold block, obsidian. netherrack and sand just now. Diamond block and sandstone then I release, this time I promise!
I'm honestly just really happy with how well everything fits together now. It's so much fun to build stuff now... Also, I'm gonna have to make a new sig, the current one is pretty much 100% outdated now with the blocks shown in it. This is definitely the biggest update yet as well, a couple of mobs, paintings and pretty much every block has had tweaks in some way if not been remade completely!
Wow, that new cobble is absolutely great. I've been wanting to reword a few of my textures to give them more depth; mind if I steal your technique to rework my cobble? Mine is alright, but it doesn't have hardly any depth.

Go ahead, I based it on some tutorial that imnumberfour did a while ago anyway... I'm not too great at coming up with original designs for textures...
Sheep, you should tone down the contrast on your oak log. The lightest value is quite too light. Do the same for your lapis block, not that I use it, with its darkest value.
With all these textures you make.
You should do a customizer!
Also my favorite texture pack now.
Thanks, and I have thought about it, but most of the old textures I've made I'm now not happy with so I don't really want people using them. I want them to use the pack as I see it and as how I intend it. Would be cool though, maybe I will check it out in the future and make some variants instead of just new textures. Then I would be happy and people would get more choice too... Decisions, decisions!

Otherwise awesome work man!
Alrighty, will do!
As for the lapis, I'm gonna make it similar to the diamond block is currently and then change the redstone block (which I forgot to texture) to be like the current lapis and emerald blocks except I will try to make it look like it's glowing with inner energy.
Ok, finally 100% happy with the terrain... I'm just waiting for the latest snapshot so I can texture the hopper and quartz blocks, then I will release as soon as I complete them. I have time so I'll improve the lava that I just made and animate it, hopefully before the snapshot is released too, then there's only a couple of blocks to do (the new ones) and I'm good for release.
Basically and overhaul (and that's what I'm calling it) but whatever. Anyway, links are up in the OP and there is a new signature for anyone who wants it.
Also, this isn't up to date with yesterdays snapshot because I'm having some issues with the new texture system that I want to get sorted first. In the meantime, enjoy!
It has caused me to crash minecraft suddenly out of nowhere and having many chunks loading error
Edit : The texture pack is really nice and much more realistic and clearer than the default, it has really pleased me as I am rather picky when choosing texture packs.

It works perfectly for me, must be something else. Texture packs are just pictures, unless it's a HD pack (which this isn't) it really can't be causing crashes.
Not a fan of this new iron block (Also iron door). The black makes it weird.
So I think I will download the old one.
Well it's supposed to be a cast iron block, hence why it's black, sort of like the anvil is. If you don't like it though, I do keep all the old textures in each version of the pack so if you download the latest version, you can copy and paste the old iron block and door back in if you want. I would advise doing that because of all the new blocks I added. (you might have seen the changelog, I did a huge amount, not to mention the new sun and moon, paintings, a few mobs and a fire animation)
This pack improves every time I see it, great work
Thanks peyton, although I must admit I'm really enjoying playing with your pack at the moment... It's been ages since I've actually PLAYED minecraft but since I released my update and you released your pack, I figure it's the perfect way to give me a break from texturing!
Also guys, does anyone have a suggestion of what to work on next? I was thinking skeleton and zombie... I'm doing the snapshot terrain stuff as it comes out btw, all the quartz blocks are nearly done and the new rails and hopper are already done.
