I never told you, but I absolutely adore your tall grass. Who knew that 16x tall grass could look so good? The tall grass alone was enough to get me to download this pack. I saw previews of it in your old thread and I thought to myself, "Yup! Must have!"
I think you're on the right track with the glowstone. I like it a lot more than the cobblestone-esque one. It looks like there's a slight tliling error with the upper most edge of the texture and I think it could do with more definition. I think it looks a little flat right now, the globules of the glowstone don't really pop.

I've already uploaded all the pictures and what-not so I'm going to have to leave those tweaks for the next update, sorry!
I just really wanted to get it out and I feel that the glowstone is still good enough that it's not letting things down too much (even though it's what I like least from the update). I'm just waiting for my dropbox to work properly, then the OP will be updated! It's open in another tab right now but my dropbox is still playing up... on that matter, you wouldn't happen to know a good file hosting website that has direct linking and no ads, would you?Nevermind that, it finally worked... Updated!
Massive changelog this time too, I didn't realise I'd changed so much since last time!
Oh! I was just giving feedback. I totally wasn't expecting you to make the changes right away. I think the glowstone looks pretty nice, it just needs a bit more tweaking. But isn't that what a texture pack is? A perpetual work in progress. The good ones are always being tweaked a little here, fixed a little there.

Yup, that's pretty much it! A perpetual WIP...
At least I am getting more and more stuff that needs doing done each update. I'm gonna do a couple more mobs at least for the next one and I want to do some armour work. Still waiting on inspiration for that gui...
I shouldn't tease you guys after I've just released an update, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut I was just inspired to make my wolves after seeing the ugly default ones...

This is my favorite 16x-pack A suggestion: make a seperate fence texture with ctm. Looks awesome in the JS texture pack (and also i miss the more sword looking diamond sword ^^)

I already have done so, although it is very subtle...
I might make a few slight tweaks to the sword as well. I still want it to keep that 'shardy' look but making it more swordlike is probably a good thing too!
Ok, so as well as working on friendly mobs... (cow is pretty much done, I've chosen colours for the ocelot as well - will post pics when I complete the cow later on!) I've also been working on making the textures work together a bit better, be that with colour tweaks or completely remaking the texture completely. I'm really happy with how it's going so far!
Here are some pics:
New dirt, it blends in a lot better with the stone, doesn't have that glossy look the last iteration had and also should be a lot easier to add CTM support for! (one thing I couldn't really do with my old dirt unfortunately)
New spruce leaves, I made these to fit in with the style I did all my other leaves in. These were the odd ones out! (plus the new leaves just look much better full-stop)
As a sidenote I've also improved all of the fast graphic leaves, they now have much better shading to make the leaves actually stand out. I personally never use fast graphics so in the past I just left it in the dust. Now I've decided to give it the love it deserves!
New stone slabs - had a lot of trouble getting these right the last few updates... I came up with designs that I liked, but the colour and everything meant they didn't go together well with pretty much any of my other blocks! Now they can properly be used in builds and such and work especially well as a lining for stone bricks.
My new soulsand, I also tweaked the netherrack colour to help them blend together better. Nether looks quite nice now!
White wool CTM - I added the trim like in johnsmith's because it really does enhance its use in medieval builds and such and my snow can be used as a borderless version for white modern buildings where you don't want a wood trim.
I'm just gonna try and finish up the cow now and add some stoneslab CTM back in. Then I might make a new iron door and I'll definitely tweak the melon colours.
That should pretty much be all the terrain tweaks I want to do this update (minus some dirt CTM). Now I really just need to finish off all of the friendly mobs!
Oh, I've also textured all the new stuff from the snapshot so that will be in the next update too. I'm currently making my own effects for the fireworks too.
I think this one suits everything more personally and I think CTM will make it even more lively, but I did know that there would be mixed reactions!
I think my other dirt was just a bit too... Shiny for the rest of the textures in this pack...
I personally agree that the new side dirt 'goes with the flow' if you will. Before you changed it, I felt there was something off about it but couldn't tell what it was. You hit it right on the noggin with your 'shiny' theory.
Well done, absolutely lovely pack you have going here!
The new stuff is looking great!! Love the new dirt.
Are we gonna see any change to the diamond tools? (Really not a fan of the pickaxe and sword.) Not a fan of having the tools look to different from each other, and the spikey look of the diamond ones isn't very good in my opinion.
As for your cobblestone I would prefer an alternative more brick-like texture, though not perfectly aligned. As of now it's design doesn't fit with the other textures, at least that's my opinion.

No promises, but I might change the diamond tools a little. Not too much mind you, but enough to make them more.... Normal, I suppose.

Yes, your textures that you posted a while (the dirt in particular) was a big inspiration to the new dirt, I just adored yours so much!
Also, as much as it pains me to say it, I agree about the cobble...
It's one of my oldest, if not THE oldest texture from this pack and I really do adore it, but it doesn't really fit with the same style as the other textures anymore! I'll have a fiddle and see what I can come up with though.
