Thank you for adding the add on packs. I'm in love with the blue stone. It's a very nice change from the same old boring stone you see in just about every texture pack. Would love to see some more fantasy themed blocks though. After you finish the main pack of course.
Oh reeeally. What comes to mind when you think fantasy themed blocks? Let me pick your brain for ideas?
Here are a couple of pictures also to give you some ideas.
Oh cool! I believe I see what you're getting at. Something that suggests a more fantastical world that's a bit richer in character. I've gone for the safer plain, simple and realistic option. That's if you ignore the bluestone addon pack. I'll file this away for futureness. Thanks.

Yes that's exactly what I was trying to convey. Yeah finish your pack your way by all means.when you're done if you want to add more to the blue stone pack that'll be cool but I know you've got a long way to go before the original pack will be done. You're doing great so far.
This resource pack is... beautiful! I can't wait for the textures to be finished!

Always remember that Jesus loves you so much that He died rather than risk spending eternity without you.
"What do you say to lunch, followed by breakfast? Because we're time travelers, and that's how we roll! Then, cocktails with Moses, and I'm going to invent a flying submarine. Why? Because no one ever has, and it's annoying!"
I really love this resource pack. I am currently using it with Lithos to fill in some textures that still aren't done yet. I can't wait until your finished. I would like to request that you incorporate some paintings that are drapes and also stained glass that is very colourful. I hope to one day make this my main resourcepack and only use it.

Could you please give a description to the add-ons?
Thank you very much and I'll see what I can do about the drapes. Also thanks for the link to Wayukian's. You're right, the mobs look fantastic in that! Description to the add-ons has now been added. I'm not too sure if I'm going to keep the Flatpack there. It really just changes wood and cobble for the most part.
Okay new week done. Smooth stone versions for Andesite, Granite and Diorite are now in. I'm also planning on making each plank type have it's own original texture as opposed to a recolouring of the oak planks. So there's a new spruce planks now. A lot of the 'blocks of...' blocks have been improved. I think I did, gold, coal, iron and diamond, also adding in the emerald block. And I've changed birch foliage colours... again.

The new update is fantastic as always. The smooth Andesite, Granite and Diorite have healed my eyes from the default textured ones. Your textures are definitely going to be one of the most popular ones on the forum once it's complete.
I totally love your work! ^.^ Could you put in your progress log what you haven't done yet so I can keep track better?
Also some suggestions:
Maybe putting a design into wool to make it look a bit more magical.
Making the Jukebox look like an old timey record player.
Just some thoughts!
Hmm, I'll see what I can do for a progress log. Good idea. As for your other suggestions I'll probably end up doing both of those. At the moment I'm not set on the current wool I have so at some point I'll have a play with it and jukebox really only makes sense to me to go for the old timey record look considering the vinyl discs that go into it. Thanks.
Lovely work on the smooth stone textures, they look awesome. Thanks for uploading the blue stone addon too, I just can't get enough of that blue for some reason... I'd also love to see you expand the addon in the future with more textures too such as changing the leaves to be a little more wild in colour among other things. Keep doing what you're doing though, it's looking great!
I think you should recolour the woods for the blue stone pack, since blue won't go with them like stonish-colour will. Maybe have some golden birches, perhaps tinge the log blue, particularly in the black bits.
Aside from colours, you would need to decide what kind of fantasy you want to go with, if you plan on doing that. Would you want something more runic or perhaps mystic?
You could also go with magic rings along side the runic style. Could work nicely for things like the Enchanting Table.
As for the jukebox, I don't think an old-style record player would really be quite right. It would fit more of a victorian style, or something like that, but not necessarily a fantasy setting. Perhaps use crystals instead of records? It really depends on the route you take, I think.
In the other comment about another texture pack and its Mob Design, I kind of like it, except of its dark and photo realistic part. They look good if you were to have mob textures similar to those, but could you make sure to give the mobs, even the hostile ones, some kind of warmer look on the main pack? I particularly don't like the super graphic/bloody designs. I'm sure you'd already have thought of this, but please keep it in mind, Thanks!~

At the moment the blue stone pack wont progress from where it is. It's really just to satisfy those after the blue look again. Anything going after the fantasy style will most likely be part of it's own add-on. At any rate I wont be working on a fantasy version until much further down the line, not until I've gotten the main pack done.
Having said that I do actually wont to try making birch leave golden as part of the main pack. That could look quite cool. Also thanks for the runic link. I didn't know that was an actual thing.

Yea definitely. But I find it really helpful to look at what works and doesn't work even if it's not quite the look you're after so that you can better steal the parts of a look that does work. When I look a start on a new texture I generally look to see what a bunch of other texture packs do for that particular texture. And these will range from comic, photorealistic, happy etc just to pick out the bits I like.
I have run into an issue. It would seem like andesite and diorite look near exactly alike in my inventory. Also, they seem to have the sides mixed up in the physical block... it's so confusing mining! Andesite/diorite/cobble/granite look way too similar. Could you please change this?
Edit: Also, gold and iron look similar in my inventory.

The andesite diorite and granite cave stones I'm still not sure how I want to do those textures. The current ones are a bit of a placeholder. You're right they look far too similar. However I believe I would want those stones to merge in with the regular smooth stones as I don't like the harsh changes in colour when exploring caves. So they'll probably end up looking closeish to smooth stone somehow. I dunno. They need work.
In regards to the gold and iron, are you talking about the natural ore?

I don't know how to explain it but I like the direction thistle was going with with his/her pack here only better and in your style. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/2233856-wolfhound-fantasy[texturepack] Rise of Tredonia was another great pack that is no longer up dated.http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/1243349-rise-of-tredonia-64x-128x-256x-512x-1-5-wont-be Bright colorful, but not overpowering. If you look at world of warcraft you can get some great ideas too.
Here are a couple of pictures also to give you some ideas.

Also when it comes to fantasy styled mobs, you should use Wayukian's texture pack as inspiration. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/1226074-16x-1-7-2-wayukian-pack-magma-slime-blaze

If you wanted Runic, there's a lot of alphabet you could use to be accurate. http://www.omniglot.com/writing/runic.htm
