The only thing I could see that even looks a little like sphax is some of the plank designs(like dark oak), but even then its still different. sphax has a very specific look.
Been loving it but PLEASE change the look of netherbrick. It looks like dirt. But, netherbrick should be a purplelish red hue, not dirt/oak wood planks.
I would put an ingame screenshot here but I wanna go to bed. I will make an effort, normally to do that each week though Buffalomoon. It's a good idea. As for the nether brick, yea I think it can be better. I'll try it closer to the vanilla purple look too. Thanks.
Erm so this week its pretty much dyes I guess. Reverted stone slab side to what it was before. I think it works in more situations better then the last one. I did further tweak it though so it should have a little more form ingame then it used too. Torch got a subtle glowing animation and it's flame particle got replaced. Exams are over so hopefully I can resume to decent updates this week. Enjoy! Also lemme know on those dyes. I'm not completely sold on them so I'd love to know what people think.
Love the update - and I think the dyes are fantastic! I'm one of those fussy detail people, so the "pile" of powdered dye with no container just bugged me for that reason alone - lol!

one request, do you think you could add a low-fire add-on or alternate kind of like the blue cobblestones? if you could design a type of low fire, just like the current fire but just shorter, i'd appreciate it a lot! low fire is helpful for pvp and stuff like that

Okay lemme start with the update and then I'll get to quoting people.
Most of this week was spent on the water animation which is much much better. I would like to actually slow it down to half that speed and see if I can't fix some tiling problems but this is still a big improvement from the old flat looking one. I'm quite proud of the animation. Mushrooms got redone, little unsure on them but still better then what was there. Other then that just a couple of icons for things. Enjoy
But I still hope the grass side will once be changed to something which is more green and less brown... That'd fit the vibrancy-colorityness-awesomeness of this pack so much better.
Oh yea. I forgot about doing that. Now that I'm getting into providing the add-on packs a little bit I reckon I could do one just for a more grass, sidegrass texture. I'll add it to my mental to do list.

Really love this texture pack, brings alot more contrast to everything you build.
Currently I have only two things I'm torn about. The first one is the junglewood planks, the old one, with the small leaves on them, gave alot more depths to builds, as well as it didnt have that overpowering orange/redish hue. Is there a change you could make that texture avilable for download?
Second thing, is the wheat, given how vibrant and lush the textures look at how organic they look, those textures used for the wheat when growing in farmlands just seam... meh. looks to symetrical, uniform, even and boring. It feels out of place but that might just be me.
Anyway, keep it up, really love the way all the textures work so well together
Thanks for letting me know I'll consider bringing the leaf stuff back and shifting the colour back to a greenish look. As for the wheat I actually remember someone saying something similar about it before. I'll have another look at it when I get a chance.
Just downloaded this pack. It looks fantastic. However there seems to be some sort of a glitch with the sword in this screenshots:

There appears to be some pixels missing/not rendering. This is also the case with the pickaxe. This happens on both vanilla Minecraft and OptiFine. What do you make of this?
Ahhhhh that's frustrating. I have no idea why it does that for you but not me but I think I know why it's doing that for you. In the texture for those swords and on those very pixels it isn't quite transparent as it should be. You can't see it by the naked eye but the eyedropper tool picks a colour at those spots where there should no colour. I'm guessing that's whats confusing the game from rendering them properly. It's not going to be fixed for this weeks update that I've just uploaded but I'll go through and fix it for all the item textures for next week. Thanks for pointing that out and let me know if it continues after the next update.

Love the dyes. Normally you see them on there own or on a plate (sphax)
But never seen them in bags before.

If you get a chance, use this mod with a shader. The colour of it balances bright shaders and it looks super lovely! I may post a screen shot later!

The water is absolutely beautiful.
Is the obsidian texture final? Because looks a little to dull IMO, a bit more color would be nicer, preferably purple. Something like this maybe?
