WOW! you actually watched my video! i'm honored! i had a sneaky suspicion because then there was an update to the sheep and i was like, "yay! new sheep!" and i really like the new sheep! i know that in real life, sheep are much darker (greyer) but i prefer them to look cute! as for sheep texture i was referencing, it was either Soartex Fanver for the smooth look and Silver Mines for the more cute, cartoony look. both are in 64x, but i'm playing in 32x nowadays because i'm getting so many "holes in the world" when i play... and i'm on an iMac, btw (late 2013, with 32GB ram)... and i play on Fast Graphics mode to cut down on my frame rate/rendering/stuttering issues when i play and record at the same time... most likely due to all the stuff that has to render due to my huge gardens! (i also had to disable Better Foliage to help with the rendering issues, too.)
i hope you didn't take into offense that i called your original sheep "dirty" they were just a bit too dark for my taste. i am a big fan of what you've made so far! i haven't checked out everything yet because i haven't gone caving in such a long time, but i love using resource packs in my game (and since i'm playing with a ton of mods, i have to use a lot of resource packs to make everything look good together, and the ones i mentioned earlier are the ones who provide tons of modded textures)... they make such a HUGE difference to me and make my playing experience so much better! i will make sure to provide feedback with each update that you release! i can't wait for the next one!
Thanks for the references. I'll check them out. I hadn't actually seen the Better Foliage mod until I saw it in your video. Turns out I can't run it either on my macbook. And no offence taken. Not at all. Feedback gives me a better direction. So I much prefer a critical opinion to feeling lost or worse, thinking something I've done is good when it isn't. I look forward to hearing more on what you think in the later weeks.
Any chance that the acacia logs get textured soon? They look odd with the others being textured nicely.
They shouldn't be too far off. I'm really eager to be finished with everything tree related. (ie, leaves, logs, planks, saplings and doors). So yea, sometime in the next couple of weeks.
remember seeing this texture pack in a screenshot that you posted on the ''Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders'' thread. It's really looking awesome, it became one of my favorite texture packs, keep up the good work!
Haha, yea, my god. That was quite a while ago. Thanks.
i've been playing on Fancy Graphics for the past couple of days now and it doesn't seem to hinder on my frame rate while recording so i'm going to keep it enabled for the time being... i needed to play with Fancy Graphics for another mod that i was playing with because of their 3D textures (otherwise it would look flat without it).
the bamboo texture is quite dark as well... i'm used to seeing it so yellow green/green yellow in a bunch of other resource packs that seeing it in a brownish color in yours is such a contrast! i had a double take when i saw it (because i have quite a large reed farm). perhaps if i had a smaller reed farm or if the reeds were more spread out, it wouldn't have caught me by surprise. other than that, i'm very happy with what you've made!

Never fear. The reed/bamboo texture is actually an old on from days of yonder. As is the glowstone and jungle leaves. So it's absolutely going to change.
I love this texture pack, but PLEASE do something about glass!!! The border on it is so annoying, interfering, and you can't make large windows otherwards it looks bad. Sometimes they do look good as dividers, but usually they seem out of place.

Alright I'm adding just a quick thinner version into the 'alts' folder for you in this weeks update but I'd like to revisit the texture properly as I think I see what you mean. If you could, could you tell me of some other texture packs that does glass well? I'll have a look and see if I can't improve it.
love the update, Grog! the signs are great since i use them all over my base! i thought i had some gold tools, but i actually only have a diamond pickaxe and it looks really nice! but yes, the trapped chest! it shouldn't be too hard to duplicate with a different color on the lock.
also, i didn't see a difference in the glass, but i reread your changelog and i believe you were going to add it as an alternate texture? i don't use Optifine or MCPatcher... the acacia planks are a really pretty reddish orange... i actually don't have anything built with that wood, but i might swap out the texture of the garage door (using Carpenter's Blocks) to my potion room.

The alt glass texture I've just thrown into the 'alt' folder. You'll have to actually manually unzip the texture pack, place the texture in the alt texture over the normal glass.png texture and rezip it all up again to make it work. It was just my shoddy quick 5 minute fix for those who know how to repackage a texture pack. I need to actually properly redo the glass then if it's a problem.
But I didn't realise it was such a nuisance. Is it the thickness, colour or brightness that's the problem? Actually that question does remind me, I did actually darken the proper glass texture just slightly in the update as I believe it was too bright regardless.
I'm not completely sold on the acacia planks texture, but I am totally happy with the colour. I wanted a really rich redwood for something different.
i liked the glass in week 13 and i like the glass in week 14. i don't do epic builds with large glass windows so maybe it's more apparent for those who do? i didn't notice that the glass was a bit darker in week 14 because glass is just not high on my list of materials that i use on an everyday basis. i will have to check out all the alt textures sometime.
So basically my suggestion is when you connect two pieces of glass the border gets removed inbetween the two. I actually think the border looks good, but it should disappear when multiple pieces of glass are connected.
That's the default texture pack (Which seem so dark and dreary now :P). The single piece of glass has the border all around it, but when you put blocks together the border disappears where they are connected, but still runs along the outside. I reccommend doing something like that.
This is your texture pack. When blocks are connected the border remains in between them, and I would suggest removing the border that's inbetween the blocks, making it look like one big connected piece. You would making all of this clear: http://prntscr.com/6yhh6x

Pls no. With your current glass texture, adding full CTM would mean having a wall of invisible. In smaller uses it's fine, but big windows or glass walls/domes end up just looking like nothing until the last few blocks when you notice "Hey wait there's a slight border there! I can't go through that!"

Invisible glass walls make me a sad cat.
Pls no.
ThisIsTheHare, ShadowTitan. Thoughts?
Could do a thinner frame for the inside bits and the current thick frame for the outside using CTM.
Seradicus would you not just disable CTM if you didn't want the invisible window effect?

That's not much of an option if you plan to add more CTM later. And it would really be a shame with how nice CTM can make glass. I'd say add some kind of design to it.
I've never really liked CTM designs on glass but that's just my opinion. I've never really seen a good glass CTM that isn't invisible-bordered in the middle.

This ^
Maybe some ctm would make the glass look better.
Finally got on and tried it out. I love this texture pack. Cartoon ish but no overboard. I cant wait for the trap chest to be retextured.

Curse PremiumAh damn, I didn't make time to do it for this weeks update.
Next week.
As for the update here it be...
Some of these blocks don't tile as well as I'd like so they're not perfect but it's progress. I can go back and refine them for next week.

Love this weeks textures as always. Great job again.

It's basically glass ctm though it only works for those using optifine/mc patcher.

Is the texture itself alright though?

That's actually a better idea than the invisible middle glass CTM.

So beautiful!!
