Hi, I'm showing you a texture pack that's for people who don't like texture packs that change the minecraft look so much you don't know if it's coal, or dirt! It's a texturepack that is best described as
FUN!
Here's some display picks to show my first real texture pack!!!
Sorry, but I can't change the lava, main picture, desc. or lava. If you know how, please reply saying how.
It'll say that it's "The default look of minecraft" but it;s still No Detail.
I said it was supposed to be a FUN texture pack, not your 512x bullcrap. I like texture packs that keep the original look of minecraft but tweak it just enough to know which is which and still know it's a texture pack. I like things that either minimize the detail of the original minecraft look, or expand it, since I don't know how to make HD texture packs, I resort to not more detail, but LESS detail. And stronghold, I'm reporting, I asked for constructive critisizm, not calling my teture pack "bull sh*t" Besides, I like this texture pack, that's why I have it up, I don't care if you hateit, I only care if you like it. And Goodlayy, you can give constructive critisism to anything, just say what you don't like about it and what would make it better...Thank you burnt scale, I made this 'cause I like it if I can tell which is which...

Okay then... I don't like the stone, gravel, tall grass, wood, dirt, cobblestone, wools, glass, torches, doors, wolves torches stonebricks, cracked stonebricks, leaves, logs and- Do I have to list everything?
The thing I don't like about them is that they have no detail, the colors are the same as default, and the design is exactly the same too.
And just so you know, it is not hard to tell what things are if you add detail and make it look nice.
I never said I couldn't tell what is what i more detail texture packs, and like I said, it isn't laziness, I can't make HD texture packs. And it's supposed to be fun! Can't stress that enough, CLEARLY you can't comprehend the word "fun".
Hey, hey! Whoa! No need for you guys to be so brutal! Unless he's a repeat offender, in which case, shame on him!
In all seriousness, OP, this exact pack has been done so many times now I can't even count. The idea was overused even about 9 months ago when I left the forums! We really don't need more simple packs because we've been flooded with loads of them over time.
If you DO want to become a texture artist, I suggest you come up with a better idea than "Hey! How about I make everything 1-2 colors! That's never been done before!" because creativity is key when you're working in the field of, well, creativity!
I suggest you read some tutorials on actual texturing, practice, and come up with an idea BEFORE you start putting together the full pack!
For starters, check out friendly neighborhood textureartist-and-moderator Steelfeather's giant texturing tutorial!
Otherwise, just look around in Texture Discussion for tutorials!

It obviously says no detail texture pack, and you come into this thread ranting about "It has no details! D:"
That's like criticizing music you don't listen to or saying a movie is bad when you haven't watched it.
It just doesn't work that way. I actually like it, its easy on the eyes, smooth, and clean.
Actually, it's more like saying a 2 minute home video isn't a blockbuster. So, it's true.
Don't compare things if you don't know how.
```
Oh, you aren't good at adding details? Well that was a good excuse never.
It's called practice. I didn't know jack **** about texturing when I started, yet I managed to make a completely original 32x32 pack, and most respected people in this section started similarly.
What's the style here? It's just an edited default made to look simpler, which means you just took the bucket fill tool and removed all the shading. When I think of a "fun" pack, I think of a pack that is fun to look at. This is not fun to look at, it's just plain and unoriginal.
You say you want people to be able to tell what's what, and I'll be honest, most texture packs do do that, and they don't need to be HD to have more or less detail. Detail is dependent on the artist, not the resolution, though the resolution does help.
You can't just make a texture pack by editing the default to be "clean" or "simple" and expect people to like it. Not only has it been done to hell and back, but it's also not good looking, takes almost no effort, and isn't aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.
Also, there are ways to remove details while making it look good. There are legit simple packs that use style, color co-ordination, shapes, and patterns to provide a good amount of implied detail while also being unique. I don't mind packs that lack detail, but you can't have no detail or you undermine the entire point of a texture pack, which is to make Minecraft look better.
If you make another texture pack, I heavily suggest working on something original. Find a style or idea that you like and build a pack around it. Find good colors, shapes, patterns, etc to make you pack your own. It doesn't have to be detailed, but if you're going to remove detail, you're gonna have to find another way to make your pack look good. If the only thing you can think of to describe your texture pack is "simple". you're doing something wrong.
The point I was trying to make is, why are people discussing something they don't care for in the first place?
Because people have standards, and they are allowed and should post their opinions about any given work of art that is being displayed so the artist can improve.
"you don't like it so don't reply" isn't an excuse to stifle other people's opinions. Many people who've responded here probably do like some simple packs, so it's not like this is outside of their genre, it's just that this particular genre is inundated with horrible examples on a daily basis.
See? TheMirror is the only one here who got what I meant when I said to try and be a constructive critic. And TManTRex has the right idea, why'd you come to this thread trashing my texture pack when it specifically says no detail. Like, "HEY! I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A TEXTURE PACK WITH DETAIL BECAUSE IT'S CALLED NO DETAIL!!! TURNS OUT IT HAS NO DETAIL!! WTF?!?!", all you haters are wasting your finger strength trying to trash my texture pack when it specifically says it's a simple, fun texture pack. Go make yourselves useful and yell at a dog for being to hairy... 'Cause you're nearly already doing it.
Be careful, you are going deep into dangerous waters.......
The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!
I never in the slightest expected everyone to like this, I just want some respect at the least, and for people to realize, I worked hard on this, which, clearly no one realizes this, I didn't just use the paint bucket, I did what I thought looked good, I wanted a texture pack that made minecraft look cool, and I did just that...
I don't care if you don't like this, just, respect that, (considering this is my first complete texture pack, I think I deserved some applause) I spent nearly a month getting this right. This is my last post on this topic, my next texture pack will be compatible with a few mods and will be based on having each place where 2 colors meet shade into each other... Bye...
A lot of texture packs are good, and they are also 16x...
Uh, i don't like how you essentially used "no detail" as a terrible excuse to be lazy and bucket fill flat colors? How's that for you?
...But that's just my opinion.
My DeviantART, requests welcome.
It's not hard.
We see this same thing daily, we don't need even more.
Edit: And title is improperly formatted. Regardless of whether or not this was "just for fun," you have to follow the rules.
There's yet more to come!
The point I was trying to make is, why are people discussing something they don't care for in the first place?
If a man came by every other day and knocked over your garbage bins and tread on your garden, would you tell him to keep going, or stop?
You're telling us to let him keep on going.
