I just appreciate everyone being so kind to me, and especially the people being patient with me while I learn the new things that you 'can' do. It's a whole new world for me, and I am just having a blast to be able to do this =) It makes me laugh now to think about how nervous I was posting my pack, and I am just so grateful to everyone for being so kind!
There are those artists here that are all business when it comes to their packs. there are those that don't talk to anyone at all. and then there are a few that talk to everyone, and actually hold conversations with people whether they are artists, or kids, or fans... or w/e. I think Glimmar is the most notorious for it...-grin- I think people that share themselves along with their art on a personal level like that are all wonderful... it's a brave thing to me, and I respect it. We are talking millions of faceless strangers, with a carefree and comfortable attitude... it's a rare thing on the internet.
Moment of Idiocy:
Came back today, and downloaded the updated pack. I went to a jungle and chopped down a tree, and thought to myself, what happened to the different textures. I then realised I didn't have connected textures turned on.
Odd: I can run this on x128, but not Sphax. Does anyone know why one runs better than the other?
Keep up the great work, and I can't wait for Tekkit!

Just ran an internal test for memory usage and overall frame-rates doing a static spin around a rather elaborate redstone structure comparing the x256 FaerieLight to x128 Sphax. Report is as follows:
FaerieLight: Memory usage 300-375MB of 910MB during static spin, 45-60fps.
Sphax: Memory usage 250-300MB of 910MB during static spin, 40-55fps.
Both tests done using Optifine with all the "Oooh, Shiny!!" options including x16 AF and x4 AA and Far view distance at 1920x1200 windowed full-screen.
(AMD Phenom II 1100T, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 560ti.)
Summary: The memory usage is lower, as is the size of the texture pack folder - even compared to FaerieLight x128 - however, the frame-rate is oddly slightly lower too, which is beyond perplexing. I'ld investigate this further, but I feel like I should be seeing Wile E. Coyote chasing the Road Runner and it's too distracting. (That and cartoony texture packs just make my skin crawl)
BTW... I bugged grugsy about this awhile back, but are the png files compressed? When grugsy did it, I could actually run the pack. I run this with ease, but it could be easier.
ahh...yes... Darkling makes a good case... I used pnggauntlet (freeware) to compress mine... and it helped a ton. couldn't hurt to use it. it just takes a long time.
edit: plus the program is just drag and drop...couldn't be any easier.
@KrinGeL - Thank you so much!! I actually had to look up what those were!
Grugsy / Darkling I use the program that comes with the program I use to make images (a very archaic version of Jasc Paint Shop Pro), But I'll try out Grugsy's idea.
Darkling - I do understand, my kids are spoiled they all have their own computers (Well not the baby, but she tends to steal my Ipod), however their quality isn't that great either, hence why I made the 32 version, I really should spruce that up a bit. But it's a worth while endeavor I got my first computer of my 'very' own when I was 15.. So that would have been 1997.. Been building frankenstiens ever since.
Yeah... I'm just getting my first phone today, so it may be a while before a computer. And seeing how well you've done, don't be surprised if I PM you in the near future. Realised just how clueless i am about texture packs in high resolution. May need some help with RP2 support for grugsy.
edit: on the topic of png compression, Grugsys really does help. It went from 170 Mb to 140 ish, If i remember right.
*Instant Jaw Drop* I'm not even kidding, that's what I did when I saw those creepers. Your work is really fantastic, and the idea for those creepers is brilliant. Great work.
Aww thank you Creeper hehe - I have been working on quite a few things so I am excited to release an update soon!
Got variations on Cats, a new Clown Zombie (Well.. somewhat), Skeletons with Brains, I retooled Obsidian to be more seamless, Added and updated Terrain.png and Items.png for the new snapshot and I've started work on bump maps.. *rambles*
