Updated for 1.3.2 Final Fantasy VI is one of the best games out there, and I figured it's simple grid like graphics and it's fantasy landscapes would lend itself well to a texture pack.
and I would LOVE to see your screen shots of things you built using Kupocraft!!! Please post them if you take them.
Please let me know what you think and I am very open to any suggestions on block textures and enemies. I also do not know how to alter things like, cloud, how dark it is when you are under water, and other effects in the game. So any sharing of knowledge would be awesome.
UPDATE 8-2-12
Emerald blocks, emerald minerals, emerald item is now Gil coin, book, stone bricks have been changed
so far, I have;
zombies - infected villagers
chickens - chocobos
creepers - train ghosts
squids - Ultros
tames wolf - Interceptor "Shadow's dog"
stone golems - Magitech armor "unfinished"
snow men - bombs heads on snow body
ghast - yellow 1 eyed demon
things that need fixing or are not complete

I love it, You sir now deserve cookies. And you gave me insparition (i think its spelled like that?) and for true texture pack artist i think it is to see and feel other enjoy it and gets insparition from it, 1-ish word: E.P.I.C
its epic.
so after playing with this pack on, I can definitely say all the logs need improving, like the spruce and oak logs need those white lines on the side removed it seems really out of place, and the other 2 need to look like logs a bit more
I'm sorta fond of the white lines being on the edges of logs, as I tried it without and the looked really drab and boring, however I know that the jungle logs could use some work.
I will take credit because this person uses almost all different textures from the game than I do, and I've been working hard on this pack for about 5 months. And mine is called Kupocraft.
You should add some randomobs support in there! (wow, I have so many ideas for this...?) so you can have plenty of monsters instead of 1 for each mob, like zombies having 3 variants like one is Kefka an imperial soldier or a goblin for instance, this could add more of a final fantasy feel as the FF games are filled with creatures/people it would also add a bit more life into the world, also giving the game a final fantasy element
I know I want to make Pig Men into ton-berries, and Imperial Soldiers could be good for Zombies for sure. I already have golems as Magitech armor, but I need to work on the sprite graphics to look cleaner.
I would like to see some screen shots of things you have made using Kupocraft. Also make sure to download the updates! And you may have to use MCpatcher to get the water to look like FF6 water.
Obviously I don't post much, but I try a ton of different texture packs and this one is rock solid. Fantastic job, hope you keep adding to it as long as you're having fun!
This has to be my favorite texture pack, even though I have never used it as I have v1.3.2. All I can do is appreciate others use of it, which is bittersweet. I've been trying to find a Final Fantasy VI texture for a few months now and there is nothing out there for 1.3.2. I think, as far as I can tell, the only person who is active in continuing to develop one. They've been made before, but their creators inevitably lost interest in continuing to keep up with Minecraft's updates. I'm hoping that KupoCraft will be around when there is a version compatible with my version of Minecraft.

Thank you! i've been updating it like crazy all week and I hope to have it up for download soon. And I love pixel art so I doubt I'll put this down anytime soon.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it and hope you can use it soon. I try to keep it updated as often as possible and plan to have it %100 complete eventually, and I will always continue to update it with new Minecraft updates. Thanks for the complements!
So I have been updating kupocraft and I will soon put out the new download. Ghasts finally have a face! I updated bark to look more natural. It is tough since there is very little natural wood to go on in FF6. And I've updated a ton of items. Armor still has not been edited too much. Any ideas for armor I am up for reading.
Can't wait to see this pack finished. The iron sword looks a little bland, as it's only 16x while everything else is 32x. Otherwise, this is one of my favorites already.
How about you integrate the character outfits as armor? I know they're very small and poorly rendered at their original size, but I imagine you can come up with some good renderings by filling in the blanks using the character art.
Additionally, though this is probably beyond the scope of this mod, some ride-able Magitek Armor may be in order. Though, I admit, I have no idea the magnitude of what that task may be.

You may also need to update MC Patcher in order for the water to look like Kupocraft water, and not default.
