Development of this pack has been put on hiatus for the moment.
Why? Because I just realized I was taking people's criticism WAY too seriously. Seradicus said the mossy cobblestone was bad, so I worked on a new version for about 2 HOURS, and now that I look at it more closely, it's worse than before. The "flat" colors were much more pleasing to the eye, and it tiled better as well. Therefore, maybe he just looked at a screenshot and assumed that it would look bad in-game. Sigh. If he doesn't like my pack, couldn't he at least had tested it before pushing his opinion into my face? Or better yet, DON'T BOTHER being so harsh with your criticism in the first place? Constructive criticism is about suggesting improvements, not ****ing nitpicking on every single thing. Yeah, I know I'm not god-tier ultra amazing at texturing. But this is my first nab at it, so give me a break.
I will be rolling back some of the edits I've made. v1.4 will be coming some time after Minecraft 1.3 is released.

You're actually annoying me at this point. Taking criticism too seriously would be deleting an entire 4 month project because one person found a flaw. Listening to what people don't like is taking it perfectly fine. Flat colors are not more pleasing to the eye, unless you're making a (good) clean pack, which default is the polar-opposite of. If you can't handle opinion that differs from yours, it's probably about time you got off the internet.
Now, explain to me, why should I give a **** if it's your first pack, or how pointing out flaws for means of improvement is any different than your idea of criticism.

You literally just blamed Seradicius for your inability to improve a texture.
Additionally, about the highlighted part, that's exactly the point of screenshots - to see how it looks. There is nothing wrong with judging a texture pack by the thread pictures. In fact, it saves a lot of time for the viewers because it's tell them whether or not they're interested.
No, No it's not, not to be mean but the point of a texture pack is to change the look and feel of Minecraft, And default changed texture packs do nothing to change this.

Absolutely incorrect. The point of texture packs is to allow the community to edit/create their own textures. Not to change the feel of Minecraft. I love what OP did with this, no matter if it didn't take a lot of time. Why is that a deciding factor for anyone? It shouldn't be.
ElementalChaos did not sell this texture pack as an incredible, glossy HD pack, or something that took a lot of time. He sold this as an alternative to the default texture pack. He changed a few things that he felt didn't flow entirely well with the default pack, and posted it to the community.
Believe it or not, some people don't enjoy the high-def Minecraft texture packs. Some people like sticking to the default, and this pack provides some great edits, while still sticking to the vanilla format. Great work, OP!

EDIT.
Damn it, should've checked the post dates.
...But that's just my opinion.
