Texture pack has been updated to 1.3.1. In addition to adding the new blocks, items and GUI, I redid and touched up several textures.
-completely redid the wool texture
-made a new 'simpler' glass texture (will probably edit this further)
-made a new lapis lazuli block texture
-made a new netherrack texture
-made the gold and diamond blocks look a lot better
-slightly changed the gravel
-slightly changed bedrock
-did touch ups on the majority of stone textures (i.e. furnaces and ores, etc.)
-made a custom background for the end
-also got around to adding a water flowing texture (which I'm going to do a bit of touching up on- color doesn't quite match still water).
Some of the new stuff:
Tripwires
Emerald blocks
Cocoa bean pods
New end background
New netherrack
New wool textures, ore blocks, glass, gravel, and bedrock
The next update should be out in a week or two, and I hope to have the biome colors working the way I want them to, connected textures support, improved flowing water, possible lava and portal animations, custom explosions, and custom XP orbs. As for the 32x version, I can't make any promises on when that will be finished. My best guess is in a few months (though it might not take that long). Still have things I need to do for the 16x and I've been busy lately.
If you guys have any issues with or recommendations for what textures I should fix, let me know. Or, you could submit alternate textures (made by you of course), which I will add (and credit you for) to some sort of alternate texture file (I already have some alt. textures, just haven't included them yet). Also, if there's a mod you want me to support just say something. I can't guarantee I'll be able to fulfill everyone requests, but I'll try my best.
Note: MCPatcher isn't required for this texture pack if you don't care for custom fonts or animations (which are a work in progress), but you'll need it if you want the font and animations. Get it here: http://www.minecraft...her-hd-fix-240/

Original post:
So yeah... This is my first post and I'm a 'new' member here (I've been lurking for a long time... Or should I say creeping? ). I should probably stop being awkward and get to the point.
I've been working on this texture pack for a while. I started on it over a year ago when there were very few post-apocalyptic/wasteland style texture packs. I put it off several times, and was very near to finishing it last year. I just needed to finish texturing mobs... until Notch released several new, extensive updates. I was really busy between wrestling practice and school etc- which is why I kept putting on hold. This is my first texture pack (that I'm going to upload at least).
I've finally gotten it to a point where I feel I can release it so, yeah. Of course, now it'll be overshadowed by all the other texture packs out there.
Let me know what you guys think. There are a few textures (which I won't name) that I'm not very satisfied with.
Things I need to finish:
-Custom still and flowing lava animations.
-Custom fire animation.
-Custom nether portal animation.
-Custom explosion
-Snapshot/1.3 compatibility (should be up soon).
-Custom default player skin.
Things I want to do/add:
-Add multiple mob skins for Random Mobs.
-Add support for whatever mods are popular requests.
-Possibly change still water animation.
-Create an adventure map to go along with it (the texture pack doesn't come with the adventure map, this time it's the other way around!).
Stuff that needs to be fixed (please let me know if you find anything else):
- ; in custom font appears as :. - dunno why (if anybody knows, help would be appreciated).
- Biomes change the top of grass blocks (which a partially grass, partially dirt), so you end up with darker dirt on top. My fix used to work, but not anymore- tried experimenting with it today by making all three biome affecting PNGs blank transparency.

-You can re-post the link to this thread on other sites. You may use my screenshots on other websites with the link.
-You may use textures from my pack in your own texture pack if you give me credit for my work, and I would prefer (but don't require) you get my permission before using them. You must notify me if you do choose to use them without requesting permission.
-You may use my textures in a personal texture pack as long as you don't upload it to the internet, and keep it to yourself (no sharing even in the real world).
-You can post all the videos, reviews, and screenshots you want.
What you can't do:
-You may not take my work (the actual file) and post it as your own on this or another website.
-You may not post this (the actual file) on other sites even if you credit me- i.e. you think this is cool so you download the file and upload it to Planet Minecraft and give me credit for it.
-You may not use my work in a published texture pack mix unless you notify me and more preferably, ask for my permission.
-You may not post only the download link to other websites. Please direct people here.
If you are confused about what you can and cannot do and want to utilize my work for something, let me know and I'll help you out.
I love it when people take the post-apocalyptic concept and integrate it into a texture pack, it's interesting to see how people design the textures so they look old and worn. I believe you've done a very good job of this, very well done!
I've been staring at that furnace for about five minutes now (that's a long time to look at a furnace), and I'm practically drooling over it...
My only issue with this pack is the random dark pixels scattered across random textures. They look okay on some blocks, but not on others.
Oh, and what's the green block on the fifth screenshot?
Really good! You have some great talent keep at it! It really reminds me of those old FPS games where stuff looked really pixelly up close like Star War knights of the old Republic, especially the lava. I recommend you remove the specks from the glass and give it a solid (metal?) border as it looks cleaner and also work on the creeper. Keep it up!

Yeah, the dark spots were supposed to be dirt (I wanted to go for a grimy, decaying look rather than just decaying), and not really anything worked very well for a 16x pack. I tried doing some airbrushing, so that there would be transparency (you could see the texture behind the dirt), but it didn't work well- ended up going for a more cartoony grime look. It's been bugging me too, so I'll probably do something about it (looks especially horrid on wool). There's a lot of different ways I could approach it.
The green and yellow blocks are glowstone- that was an older screenshot (but I think everything in it is consistent with the current pack)- it was taken prior to them changing glowstone from stone to glass- sucks because I had to redo my mine cart system there.

Yeah, the glass was one of those blocks I tried to make look grimy- didn't work too well. Also- you don't like my robo-creeper :(? he does look too friendly- I think a few of my friends tried to hug him when I let them try my pack . I'll try to make him more threatening!
Thanks for the feedback guys, really appreciate it!

I see. Well, for the wool, I would suggest going for a subtle browner shade of the coloured wool you're doing, to create a dirty and grimy look, which you mentioned you were going for. Only do the browner shades in certain sections of the texture, not all of it, that should add to the realism of the texture.
This is very good, this is the type of texture pack im looking for however, I may not use it mostly because I prefer 32x more than 16x. However this is a very good texturepack :]
So I just figured I'd tease what I'm currently working on:
I was working on improving a texture the other day and got really peeved with the limited amount of detail I could include- so then I started playing around with creating a higher res version (32x). Rather than doing it by hand (which I may or may not still do- haven't decided), I just did a Cave Story + type of thing (if you don't know what I'm talking about here: )- I just improve the pre-existing textures. I'll continue to support the 16x, and I'm not sure when I'll be done, but it shouldn't take long. It's actually a fairly quick process.
Edit: wow, didn't notice Renner107's post above mine. Weird coincidence- and I don't believe in them. Was bound to happen sooner or later though- this originally started as a 32x, but... let's just say 'somebody' told me to make it 16x to stay 'true to Minecraft's original feel'- he later said he was being stupid and that 32x was what I should have gone with :/
Cool, nice to see you redid the glass! The new netherrack is a little bit odd, perhaps style it more like the lava?
What looks odd about the new netherrack? is it too rough or? I am going to include the older one in the alternate textures file. There are a few other versions I may include there.
your texture pack looks really good i can't find anything wrong with it and to all people who think it's weird it isn't read the title apocalyptic. lol well anyway it looks awesome!
I don't take an issue with people giving me feedback- that helps me to improve my work. I'm just not particularly fond of when people say they don't really like a certain texture but don't explain why.

ps: I'd like to see the mobs with a sort of savage feel to them
Pretty much what I said. Bummer too- if I had released it even in an unfinished state months ago, I would've beat the other people to it.
