okay thanks...just letting you know this is my first time editing with this new editor so im just starting out and this is my 1st texture.... btw what block do you suggest i change the most? oh and alot of the blocks are suppose to be a little smooth. and wat do you mean by shaded?
Shading? Well it's more to do with light, some areas are lighter than others, so you may put a brighter part on stone to give it depth, just look it up

This is true.
Painterly is only popular to those who are new to texture packs. I personally like the textures, but I cannot stand them in game.
Just letting you know this is not suppose to be very big. it's like a simplecraft or something under those lines
