Hi everyone! I recently got an idea for a minecraft texture pack. I usually play more hrdcore games like COD or Bulletstorm, so when i get tired of games like that I turn to Minecraft to lighten my mood. Recently however even minecraft has been getting pretty stressful to play at times. Endermen scare me O.O... But anyways this prompted me to look for a texture pack that might bring it down a little but everything I found was just too cute! So I decided I'd try my hand at making a pack of my own! It's called ToneCraft because im trying to TONE down mineCRAFT. Seeing as this is my first pack i thought I'd turn to the people of the internet to help me! please feel free to criticize and leave suggestions for me!
I've updated! I have listened and added shading to the blocks, though I've probably missed some...
It's starting to look like a real texture pack!
Anyway there is a new link and again any input is appreciated!
These are the blocks I've edited at this point as well as the tilled soil.
An in game shot with the pack on
I've also redone a few mobs!
I have yet to shade them but I'm sure I can have that done soon!
Please download and tell me what textures need to be done or redone immedeately. Thanks! http://www.mediafire.com/?911lj18e6lasgjm
I like what you've done with that dirt, with the borders. I recommend keeping to that style, creating a form of simple pack (which I assume you're already doing anyway, looking at the ores and such), but be sure to add shading so it actually looks good.
Thanks for the input! obviously I need to do some more work but thats ok I've only just started. Everyone says shading so I'll get to work on that, but what do you mean by tiling Peyton?
this isnt bad but could probably be touched up on some things like sand really is the only thing i have seen from the pictures you posted.
and im not sure if this will help for you but to fix the [img] thing where theres no picture click on the link unlink it and then save the post, worked for me
I'm thinking making the sand and the gravel, and possibly other blocks, look like the dirt or smooth stone. It will give the pack a more definite feel but I wonder if it will make it too hard to recognize them for what they are. Should I try this? Any advice is appreciated!
