I like Sphax for its cleanliness, but yeah, it doesn't DO much that default doesn't. I do like the huge difference on iron golems and villagers, but...
back ot, thoughts on the rest of the texture.png
Cake - Sometimes the best answer is an uncomplicated one. Frosting takes a pattern - Maybe smile? Dots? Circle?
Beacon - Probably should reflect the Nether Star in some way. Isolated starburst of crystal, like Glowstone? Four point star would be novel, too, and simple. Beam looks most potent as pure white, most animated with the most gaps in the image. Spiral pattern may be do-able. Most beam textures focus on one continuous beam, little actual color aside white/light grey.
Brewing Stand - Dark base may work, to show the heating element reddening the material. Vials could be the traditional lab thin and tall look, havent seen that one done.
End Portal - Capping the endstone would be interesting with a silver or gold slot, maybe gold to stand out the most. Eye of Ender could be based on the onyx stone posted before. It even partly resembles an eye.
Enchantment Table - One idea is to have a central point the book would hover above. A recurring “theme” I’ve noticed is a circle with branches to all four sides (Spawner, Chiseled Stone). The four branches could bolt to the bottom, run up the sides and connect to the circle on the top. This trim could be diamond, or the diamond housed in the circle?
The book itself might do a change from red, maybe use the chiselled sandstone glyphs for the markings on the cover?
Tripwire Hook and Wire dont necessarily need to be anything extraordinary. Given how they’re supposed to be discrete, could be a boon?
Nether Wart - Here’s an idea. Since they only grow properly in Soulsand, connect the two? Early stages would look like whispy extensions of the sand. Grey, thin, so on. As they grow and take on a fungal shape, they’d darken, but carry a touch of grey at the root. The end product would be a black cap with the stem turning greys at the bottom.
Break Animation - Only thing I haven’t seen, I think, is a split down the middle.
Okay, I downloaded optifine, installed it, and nothing changed. At least minecraft didn't crash. But the water, fire and lava is the same as the minecraft default texture...
I also don't get the randomized textures for ores and sand.
There were three different optifine prgrams to choose from. I downloaded the HD D3 version... was it the wrong one?
EDIT: I also tried the HD U D4 version and it didn't do anything different either.
Hey SteelFeathers, great texture pack! I am SO downloading this! This texture pack makes Minecraft look really cool! I am DEFINATELY going to keep track of this until it's done, and get every new updated version of this. Nice job! I hope you don't give up on this! I want to see what this will look like finished!

HEY YOU! Yeah you. Do you like adventure maps? PM me if you want to test/help me with my adventure maps.
As most of you probably know, it's that time again-- that's right, exam time. The 2-week period at the end of the semester when professors turn into demons that try to bury you alive in last minute projects and homework assignments before subjecting you to the torture of a final exam. Hence the reason why I've been MIA as of late. (It's always harder for us seniors.)
Anyway, hope to see you all soon once I finally get off for winter break. Until then, ciao.

Is anybody going to work on mod support for this pack some more?
I happened upon this pack soon after starting my newest survival world, and boy oh boy, is it wonderful. Easily the best texture pack I've used, ever. I'm having trouble even looking at default textures now.
Will load up some screenshots of the beauty of this pack later.
I have like most of your textures from the past. Today, after a long absence from these forums I returned to find this. At first, I'm not going to lie, I didn't like it. I felt it wasn't my style but, out of respect for you I think I am going to try it out.
After looking at the screenshots for a few minutes, going elsewhere and then returning, I now feel I may really enjoy this pack.
Here're the photos! Enjoy. Includes direct comparisons to default.
Also, a chance for me to show off my home base, easily the best thing I've ever built in Minecraft survival, and something I'm very proud of.
If there were anything I could suggest for the pack, it would be to make the gravel look a little less like dirt, and to fix the iron/gold/redstone ore's mining particles to show the standard ore, and not the RPG ores. Kinda strange to be digging a redstone block and seeing chunks of snake skeleton fly everywhere.
Obviously to finish all the item/terrain textures would be divine. Still, this is an excellent pack, and everything else is perfect. I love the mob spawner texture, by the way, and the spruce sapling is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I can literally have a bonsai tree in my house with that.

and the basin I'm living in can be found at coordinates x=0 and z=-600, roughly. I had to do some pretty heavy terraforming to make space for my house, but it was already very flat, and that made things easier.
The basin is within easy reach of a jungle and a desert, and one of the first things I did was dig a tunnel through the mountain toward the jungle for quick access. I've since put up rails for getting to all of my places, and built a farm on the jungle side of the mountains. If you make a map and expand it to the largest possible size, a standard woods biome is available on the rightmost side of the map and a taiga is in the upper left corner.
Just letting you know.
Have fun!
I love this texture pack! I searched for it since I saw it featured in the screens of a server information post and finally I found it... And am already in love with it! Downloaded in a second and had a look at it ingame and I really really like the bright colors (even the grass and such aren't too bright for me) and felt warm and happy even while it snows outside and I'm getting not enough sun The wooden textures are amazing and I love the little details (for example on the iron door) - the only thing I really wish was a customizer option, with alternatives for glowstone (latern-like maybe, I'm all oldschool, still do lighting with glowstone and not redstone lamps) and the ores (I like the basic ores more than swords and keys and I'd definitely prefer the default ores...) and I'd be very grateful if there were Alternates for this, however even if not I'd keep this texture pack since it's absolutely fabulous!
Thanks alot for it and for the hard work you're doing
PS to Lambastificate: Awesome screenshots and a very awesome base you have there, your building skills are great - hard to look at my base now, wanna rebuild everything I'm not going to, however, this would be the 3rd time building it

What the heck is wrong with the planet minecraft website...Nevermind, fixed! Great texture pack by the way, can't wait for its completion.
