For armor? I'd keep it thematically consistent with the tool/weapons of the similar ores. The iron sword has a very heavy, celtic/nordic feel to me, so something with a lot of bevelled areas would be good. Would also reccomend dragon heads as motif. Diamond armor ought to have smooth, flowing lines. Almost want to suggest some persian influence?
Persian would be interesting for sure. Personally, I'd like seeing armor that represents a natural progression from the previous one's appearance.
Basic fighting leathers for leather armor. Chain armor has mail overlaid on top of the leather armor, and iron armor has iron plates on top of the mail in major areas (thighs, torso, upper arms, etc.) Diamond could be done a variety of ways - maybe arcane lines on the iron plates, or gems set into the iron plates? Gold could be your standard ceremonial armor since it isn't crafted for any actual purpose.
For the mobs, it really depends how different you want to be from the norm. Creepers are usually seen as some vegetative creature, which can lead to some cool looks. DMPack had a very interesting interpretation - The Creeper itself was dark, but it looked to be burning from within, literally set to blow. Skeletons and zombies are classic and iconic, though.
I always liked the idea of creepers being more like a fungal creature, almost like orks from War40k. When they explode, they disperse spores which will eventually grow into more creepers, giving them an actual reason to explode. And, in a way, they're "creeping" across their world by dispersing spores like that.
I don't think much needs to be done about zombies and skeletons, if you've seen one, you've seen them all. I'd definitely go for a more cartoony interpretation rather than those bizarre and kind of silly-looking "realistic" versions other packs use.
That makes sense. One variant I don't think I've seen for Zombies is the more emaciated, thinner zombie. My immediate idea for a fungal creeper would be this thing that seems overgrown with vines, its mouth stitched with thin, tenacious fibers.
Another idea on armors - Instead of a royal crown, like done in Sphax and to hell and back, another kind of crown. Gold armor could be a sort of imperial gladiator - The body would be a shield strapped across the chest and a shoulder cauldron, with the helmet being a gold leaf circlet. Pants could be a gold plate skirt - I know theirs a term for the armor skirts back then, cant remember. Shoes could be winged sandals.
Villagers is another fun branch of thought. Humans work, but they always gotta have funny hats to make up for the difference in head size. Either that or find a way to make those huge honking noses work.
Looks Great. I don't know what i was thinking with the axe this definitely fits Tungsten more . Just a suggestion but i think it would look pretty cool if it was a shiny black sheet instead of a grainy one.
Yay now my Carpets will look amazing! Also steel i have a question will you be putting the tekkit download on the front page of the thread so it's easier for people to find?
Looks amazing! like the effects on the glass
So you ignore everything else that is super amazing in this pack and focus on things that aren't finished. Good job . It does say WIP for a reason.
Well, I like it grainy because Steelfeathers said ancient.
BOOOOOOM!
-snip-
Steel, you better give me credit in the thread for this.
Or at least write a thank you letter
Because, well, it kinda took forever.
WOW. I couldn't stand doing ctm wools, and the pattern was much simpler than the one for circle stone. I don't know how you do it. You're like the energizer bunny for ctm. Don't burn yourself out!
(Thank you, btw. :3)
Is Tekkit finished?
I'm hoping to still be able to do some more textures for it, for I have a long weekend and not much to do.
Also, Steel, would you be alright with me making a video on Dragon Dance? Hypothetically, of course. Procrastination is a thing.
As far as I know, tekkit is not finished. Although the Dragon Dance texturing warriors are doing a good job of demolishing the mountain of work that needs to be done.

Although I'm almost %500 sure it wont fit.
You should also add my screenshots file to the OP, just cause its prettiful.
If only that emerald block were resized better...

Curse PremiumRedstone Lamp seems more like a machine than a material. So no.
I think I'll work on CTM tree tops, or maybe my own pack XD
Well, it did take me FOREVER. Thanks.
