I have no idea how it draws from Dragon Dance, but I love it!
Well originally I was afraid to draw anything because most people are either super good and get praised or super bad and get rediculed...hopefully I'm either wrong or part of the super good people.
I feel bad to disappoint everyone, but its nowhere near the same concept, just something that I drew, and you guys inspired me in hopes people would like my stuff too. Here it is though, click for full resolution:

Feedback is appreciated.
Very cool! I can see the influence in the middle part, but the rest is definitely your own artistic talent.
I must admit, I've never had much ability for this type of stained-glass art. Wish I could piece things together like that, but I just can't.
have you made a diamond non-normal ore yet? If you're working on it...then i have an idea. a ring. Simple as that. bam A+ on all exams you pass college forever and win life, just because you made the choice to make a diamond ore into a ring. (obviously that won't happen because of that decision, but hopefully you accomplish the stuff listed above)
I'll try doing a diamond ring, although to make it large enough to be visible it may end up being a very derpy ring....
A broken wand or staff might work as well, since we're going for a light, fantasy style, right? Diamonds are used for making enchanting tables, so why not magic wands, too?

Its not how good you are, its how you post. The bad posters don't read rules, provide noictures, and have a simple pack behind adf.ly. You put effort in, you get good responses (so long as you like criticism, at least)
Guys, guys, I just had the coolest idea. I'm going to ctm the top of the sand block so that very rarely you'll get bleached bones or seashells or half-buried artifacts (but only very rarely).
....okay, so maybe I'm just late to the party with this one, but still! Now I'm all excited.
On another note, I'll see about getting a snapshot up this week. It will likely only contain the ctm'd wools, but it's better than nothing, right? Right?

I had considered this, I'm just still not certain how to make it work logistically.

Wait a minute:
How about you make normal diamonds (no, not the diamond you have right now, I mean new ones, but as gems!) and then have another random texture which will be a diamond skull, as Aileron suggested, which has a weight of 1 compared to the normal which has a wieght of 1000. That means you have a 1 in a thousand chance, right? That would be AWESOME for the pack.
I like this idea but I think it should be a little more common than you seem to be planning, particularly if you are going to do something similar with grass like tolle96 suggested. Add some more noticeable variety you know
I look forward to the snapshot, the CTM wools sounds to me like a brilliant idea
CTM wools? Woah, I have NEVER heard of that before *points to half the texturepacks in existance*

I just don't want every third bit of sand to have bones. I want it to be something you stumble across every once in a while-- say 1 block has bones/seashells/artifacts for every 10x10 patch of sand.

It's called 'Dragon Dance' right. Is that influenced by George Martins Game of Thrones Book, 'A Dance of Dragons'?

Retired StaffNope. Never read the book, although I heard it's good.

Feathers has been a very busy person for the last week and a half. Please be patient.

Curse PremiumWell, you would have to find where the hell everything goes first (if you download tekkit support for PureBDCraft theres TONS of files.)
Yeah, I've have that texture pack, but I seriously couldn't find where the Ores were located.

Retired StaffYup, if all goes according to plan, there should be an update late tonight. :3
Optifine helps, it really does. Look it up.
Definitely the second alien artifact. SO COOL.
