The bookshelves should be working fine for either MC patch or optifine, since they use the ctm template originally made for optifine:
I haven't gotten into any really fancy stuff like color properties (which I don't think I'm going to do, because I like the default lighting) so either program should do just fine.
I do intend to do the mobs, but I don't think I'm going to make them cartoon characters, per say-- just cartoony.
Wow, looks great! Man, I really need to get that mod. I can finally run it thanks to my brand new 64 bit hard drive. :3
I'm planning to update once a week, probably around the weekend. I'm thinking it's going to be like a minecraft snapshot-- there may be a lot done, there may be only a little done, but I'll update anyway.
It's really easy, just add this line of code to the properties file for the block you want to have nice edges:
connect=metadata
My computer isn't all that good and I can run it at about 18 fps. Are you considering adding bump map support, because it would be of no use to me, because no matter how hard I try neither bump mapping, nor the water shader work =/

Weird - that's definitely in the .zip, I even tried dropping that image right in (saved as ctm.png) and the bookcases are still not connecting. It's a tiny tiny thing, though, they look fine as they are.

Maybe try all the usual bug-fixing things for when a mod isn't working-- get a clean jar, reinstall. That might fix it.

No, I'm not going to do anything processor-heavy like bump mapping or block animations. I like to keep the amount of memory needed for my texture packs low so that even people with less-than-stellar computers can use them. After all, 64x doesn't really use that much more memory than 16x-- the real kicker is all those animations (including animated water and lava). That's why HD packs seem to lag so much more, because their creators pack so much extra stuff into them.

wow I never noticed a fps drop with animations... In glimmar's steampunk almost everything is animated and I get no fps drop... (Usually 60 -115 fps)
I downloaded this new version, and ran MCpatcher, but when I tried to use the new texture pack, it crashed my game. Here is the crash report. ( Its the weirdest crash report Ive ever seen)

I have no idea why you're posting that here-- I'm not a modder, and to be quite blunt, that code don't mean nothin' to me.
Texture packs don't modify the code of the game in any way. It's merely a bunch of images. If your game is crashing, it means that there's something wrong with the mods you have installed, and they're conflicting with mc patch in some way.
Try getting a clean jar file and running the patch again. If you're still having problems, post that code in the mc patch thread.
(and no, that top grass is not just a recolored version of the regular top grass. The leaves are curly and pretty! So there.)
Also, which do you guys like better?
This spawner.....
....or this one?

Lovely mycelium, and the second spawner, has more of a nice 'woody feel'.
Hey, I just downloaded the texture pack, and this is really amazing, but I really think you could do better on the diamond ore, for example, changing the shape to a diamond looking one, because it really looks round, not pointy like most diamonds look. But the entire thing is amazing.

I like the wooden monster spawner more ,but the wood is a little bit too thick ,u can barely see what's inside the cage
First, that mycelium looks really appealing to my eyes, since my favorite color is purple.
Second, I'd prefer the wooden mob spawner, the chain makes it look all better! But yeah, it's hard to see the mob in it, would be better if it was a little bit thinner.
I like the chain around the second one, but the wood makes it looks kind of "cheap", like it's not a rare mob spawner. Maybe change the wood to gold, and keep the chains?

Thanks for reviewing, but I just have to leave this here:
But the appearance of real uncut diamond aside, I do intend to change the diamond ore into something more RPGish for the default download. I plan to have only the coal maintain the lumpy shape.
And bookshelf ctm is not working for me either (optifine). It is working with other texture packs though..
I don't know what to tell you. This pack uses the exact same ctm template for bookshelves that all other packs do. It works for me and for a lot of other people, so I don't know why it's not showing up for some of you.
Also, it's easier to see the mob inside the spawner through the side, even if you can't see it when it's on an angle like that.

I was thinking more along the line of "oh look at this crate, I wonder what's inside of it....wait, why does it have chains around it?....and are those bite marks?......I think it's moving......."
Here's a thought on the spawner:
A more or less kind of Prison Box. Maybe a mossy or vine-covered iron box, with some form of lock or seal on it.
"As you wander through the cave, you come across an odd room with some strange container in the middle. As you approach it, the seal shatters, unleashing Hell's minions upon you." -D&D Game Master

Ooo, I really like the idea of a vine-covered iron cage. THanks!

Retired Staff(and no, that top grass is not just a recolored version of the regular top grass. The leaves are curly and pretty! So there.)
Also, which do you guys like better?
This spawner.....
....or this one?
I have no idea why you're posting that here-- I'm not a modder, and to be quite blunt, that code don't mean nothin' to me.
Texture packs don't modify the code of the game in any way. It's merely a bunch of images. If your game is crashing, it means that there's something wrong with the mods you have installed, and they're conflicting with mc patch in some way.
Try getting a clean jar file and running the patch again. If you're still having problems, post that code in the mc patch thread.
Love the Mycelium by the way. Nice and bright
And bookshelf ctm is not working for me either (optifine). It is working with other texture packs though..
Lovely mycelium, and the second spawner, has more of a nice 'woody feel'.
I like the wooden monster spawner more ,but the wood is a little bit too thick ,u can barely see what's inside the cage
Second, I'd prefer the wooden mob spawner, the chain makes it look all better! But yeah, it's hard to see the mob in it, would be better if it was a little bit thinner.

Curse PremiumAnd I LOVE the mycelium. Great job.
i prefer the wooden spawner
I like the chain around the second one, but the wood makes it looks kind of "cheap", like it's not a rare mob spawner. Maybe change the wood to gold, and keep the chains?

Retired StaffThanks for reviewing, but I just have to leave this here:
But the appearance of real uncut diamond aside, I do intend to change the diamond ore into something more RPGish for the default download. I plan to have only the coal maintain the lumpy shape.
I was going to say I liked the second one better anyway. Iron bars are soooooooo
done
I should redo my spawner it's kinda crappy.

Retired StaffOoo, I really like the idea of a vine-covered iron cage. THanks!
