Hey. I just made the Red alloy furnace for the tekkit support! Despite a few minor things, i myself think it turned out quite well
So here is my Dragon Dance version
And here is the default texture
^ yeah it's a bit small ^
Anyway the fire i tried to mimic the style from the furnace and the iron grate at the front was put in there just for something different.
The iron grate can be easily taken off if you guys want
That's awesome!
And I think the jungle logs are fine, Steel. They don't look that bad compared to the other ones, but lets face it. When would you actually put the different logs together?
Every time... and I mean every time I make a timid foray into the Texture Pack section, I find you've launched yet another fabulous texture pack. I swear you must be the Borg or something!! How can one human alone keep churning quality packs out one after another, it's... it's... just not human!!
I mean, are you some kind of collective multi-limbed organism or something? Because I have this theory that if aliens walk amongst us and if they took an interest in computer games, for whatever weird social research purposes they might have, they'd more than likely be fascinated with Minecraft's possibilities and how humans interact with it, and I'm pretty sure my theory's now been vindicated.... that you are indeed...'not of this world'. Especially with 6,000 posts and an excellent voluminous 'texture pack creation' guide to your name.
Own up Feathers, what's your real purpose here on Earth? Is your species contemplating invasion or assimilation? And do I still have time to make a cup of tea? In fact the secret organisation I represent is getting very, very worried, especially with regard to that last question.
Steel, it's a pleasure looking at your work, and the more so because you don't put on airs and graces and get too arty farty and all self -important about your status. You're a damned fine artist and a credit to the moderators federation (or whatever you call that official thingummyjig you're representing). But I still reckon you're an alien and I will go down in what little remains of our Earth history as the one who first came to that earth-shattering conclusion!!
Run for the hills my fellow humans...run!!! [waves arms in the air and looks more insane than usual!]
How about a sci-fi pack now... to reveal what your home planet looks like? ... What! You've already done it? Gah...Typical! [sounds of groaning][shuffles off to make preparation for evacuation...'where's me therrmos and woolly hat, dear?']
Seriously though, I love the colors, this pack is so damn addictive. Since I downloaded it I couldn't really get used to any other texture pack I have downloaded.

Oh crap! That made me laugh Glimmar.
On top of all that she also find time to attend school apparently. For an engineering degree of all things. I think maybe you are right.
*looks at Steel suspicously*
Is your name a hint? Are you some sort of metal-feathered, extraterrestrial, hive-mind, octopus?

BEAUTIFUL. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I love it to pieces. I want to download that mod just for that furnace. Way to be an awesome designer. And the grating is perfect, don't take it out.
Hey I just finished Basalt
It does look a bit rough i may rethink the colour combinations.
I also decided to go with a smooth look for the stone (although it was a pretty risky move) so tell me what you think.
Basalt Dragon Dance
Original Texture
Also I'm not quite sure how to put these textures into the game. If i could i would get some in game shots
Could use some stronger highlights, me thinks. The contrast is too low for how dark it is. Although I'd have to see it in-game to know for sure.
And I think the jungle logs are fine, Steel. They don't look that bad compared to the other ones, but lets face it. When would you actually put the different logs together?
Believe me, people put all sorts of strange things next to each other.....then blame me when it looks stupid. >.<

Take me to your leader.
....nah, I'm kidding. I'm not an alien. At least, I'm pretty sure I'm not. But I might have been switched at birth, who knows.
Although I DO have a plot for world assimilation. YOU SHALL ALL USE MY TEXTURE PACK, WAHAHAHAHA. (Resistance is futile)
"Especially with 6,000 posts and an excellent voluminous 'texture pack creation' guide to your name."
Geez, I really need to get a life. ._.
PS: No sci fi pack in the works, sorry. This is my last one. Like ever. ....unless I decide to make a 32x egyptian one, but I don't know if it's worth the effort. And besides, I want to cap my number of packs so I can actually finish them.
Excellent work Steel, you could try making the logs round then using CTM to connect it.
Custom CTM doesn't appear to be working at the moment. I'm not sure why. At least, I'm unable to get it to work.
Although I DID make some lovely ctm bookshelves using the default ctm template thingy.
Seriously though, I love the colors, this pack is so damn addictive. Since I downloaded it I couldn't really get used to any other texture pack I have downloaded.
But the pixelated tools look quite bad. c;
I updated 4.5 days ago, chill. I looking to establish a once-a-week update schedule. Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it.

*rolls eyes*
Of course not, silly. I'm a metal-feathered, extraterrestrial, hive-mind, wolf. Duh.
I'm not familiar with Tekkit at all, but I want to make a useful texture. What would you guys says is one of the most used or important textures from tekkit?
I'm not familiar with Tekkit at all, but I want to make a useful texture. What would you guys says is one of the most used or important textures from tekkit?
Quarrys, macerators, solar panels, pipes, engines... The usefullness of a texture really depends on the person playing, but i'd do the engines if I were you (Redstone, Steam, Combustion, Electric etc.)
I'd also really like to see glass ctm, because glass without ctm is just... no
A nice ctm glass pattern would be cool, but I am absolutely not going to make glass that becomes a perfectly clear plane. I'm not a fan of invisible barriers. It's really disconcerting when my big glass wall looks like an empty hole in the side of my house.

Considering that this pack is pixel art it's far more likely that each wool texture was drawn separately.
