I really really like the gold block, but I have an excellent idea (mah opinion) If the gold ore is a key, and the gold block is a key, then shouldn't the gold ingot be a key as well? you were probably going to do that anyways, but if you weren't, then there's an idea! and for the inventory box gui thing, I think the border should be like an ouroborus, if you don't know what it is, it's like a snake dragon thing that eats itself, you should google image it if you don't know what it is. Yeah, just a bunch of thoughts, and good luck with the bookshelfs! hope you finish them soon!!!
OK, I have already started a few tekkit textures, but I would love some help. If we could get organized it would really help. How do you guys want to do this? A separate thread? PM's? I just want to make sure we don't waste time texturing the same block 3 times.

A lot of people volunteered to do tekkit support for this pack. because it is such a large mod, I wanted to make sure that 5 people don't waste time by all making the same textures.

Oh, okay.
By the way, steel: here's a fully working Background Panorama if you want to use it or use it temporarily:

I use to love sphax until everybody on the stupid planet started using it (same with dokucraft), like if you search tekkit on youtube 9 times out of 10 they'll be using sphax. i hate the sight of sphax now, although it's still a great texture pack
my new default right here

So, while I work that out, here's some stuff to whet your appetites:
Okay, who wants to make me some tekkit textures?
I like those bookshelves! But the skull has some jaggies on the back and top. I also am kind of curious on trying this style, I might make one or two tekkit textures.
I would love to do tekkit textures, it's just i would probably fail miserbaly at making it look flush with the pack itself, if you know what i'm saying...
I'd be happy to help with textures, if you require it
However, I would probably just reuse the colours you have used so far for the textures because I'm not confident enough to pick my own that will blend with the pack
I understand if you don't want me to help because I'm not experienced enough
Yeah, you should provide all the entrants with your palette.
Unless you don't want to reveal your trade secrets.
Wow, I never expected so many mod support volunteers! I should call you guys Steelfeathers' Texturing army. Or maybe the Dancing Dragon artists. Anyway, I'm really excited to see what you guys come up with.
On another note, I got the bookshelf to work by putting it in the basic ctm file. It should work with my special png and properties file, but it doesn't, so oh well. No randomized mossy stone brick for the time being, I'm afraid.
And here, I forgot to put up the circle stone I made last night:
I would love to help with tekkit but I'm not sure I could emulate your style.
Don't worry, I have a short list of guidelines/colors that I use when texturing that I can PM to anyone wanting to work on mod textures. After I swear you all to secrecy, of course.

Well since you have to melt down the gold ore to get the gold out anyway, I'm thinking that I'll have the gold ingot just be a gold ingot (but super awesome looking, of course).....which Steve then forms into Gold blocks and carves with key motifs, in memory of where he found the gold. :3
Also, I like the idea about having dragons on the GUI, but it might end up being too much work-- you have no idea how long it takes me to do those detailed pixel art designs. x.x
Looks great! I went ahead and put it into the pack.
You're going to have to teach me how to make such seamless panoramas, btw. Mine never line up right, or the corners overlap and look strange.

Right on, Levaunt's in the house! I'd be glad to take whatever you want to make. Have fun.

*headslap* Don't you talk like that, you're great! I (and the rest of the texturing team that seems to be amassing) would be glad to have you.
Also, feel free to reuse colors. In fact, I encourage it. There should be enough in there to cover whatever needs to be made.

I'm using mods that aren't updated

Here's a list of mods that need to be textured in Tekkit:
Industrialcraft2
Redpower2
Buildcraft
Equivalent Exchange2
Railcraft
ComputerCraft
Balkons Weapons Mod
Ender Storage
Immibis Core/TubeStuff/Dimensional Anchors
Iron Chests
Nether ores
Wireless Redstone Chicken Bones Edition
Not Enough Items (GUI)
Power Converters
Good idea having different people work on different mods

Moderator privilege-- I can have as many things in my sig as I want.
(It's my only compensation, since I don't get paid)

You don't want these mad skittles, trust me. They don't hold still to be eaten, and I swear they like to swap flavors when I'm not looking. o.o
