I don't think anyone is implying that sphax is bad because of this, but yea it does have a lot of very similar textures to doku. Literally some of the shapes used are identical. Take a look at grass, stone, dirt, iron block, chests, leaves, spawner, glass, furnace, iron bars, cacti, maybe more

Don't forget the torch, Levaunt.
But yeah, I remember Sphax himself saying at some point that he was purposefully recreating doku designs in a vector style, so there's no question for me that it's doku-inspired.
well, to surpass Sphax it would help if to was entirely complete with full tekkit support. I'm not saying you have to do that Feathers, but things like that are needed to draw millions of the unwashed masses. I am quite content with the beautiful terrain and items, and enjoy this waaaaaay more than sphax.
Hmm....I've never really done mod support before, because I always felt that it would be a bit of a waste of time-- that I would go to a lot of effort, and it wouldn't really get used. BUT, even though I don't use mods, I might be persuaded to make textures for tekkit or whatever if this pack stays popular and there seems to be a clear interest in it.
First, however, I plan to complete what I think of as the 'vanilla essentials': terrain, items/tools, GUI, and mobs. After that then I'll start looking into what mods I want to support.
I really want to throw my weight behind this pack, and if that means doing mod support then I will. I'm tired to skipping between packs, never really feeling satisfied. And I think this pack has the 'it' potential for me.
Yeah back on topic! Steel, I demand more dragon heads on things!
Yes sir! I'm thinking of giving the diamond block some sort of dragon motif, since it is the most rare and expensive block in the game. (Well, not really-- emerald takes the cake there, but I feel like emerald should be something mysterious, elusive, and possibly sinister. Maybe some sort of monster?)

Or emerald could be another dragon... Thats a monster...

Hmm not sure if you would feel trusted in doing it but i think sphax's tekkit support was helped made by fans of the pack.
Maybe you could do the same if you find enough talent for it? This could save you alot of time as tekkit is very big.
WOW! bookmarked.
I personally think that tekkit textures would be a GREAT idea, because people must now rely on sphax's pack for the full tekkit experience, and it would be good to have some tekkit videos where every single person wasn't using sphax purebdcraft.
I am honestly beyond frustrated at this point. I made a banging new bookshelf, and I want to do a horizontal ctm for it. But I can't get it to work no matter what I do. (I referenced this thread for instructions, but it doesn't tell you how to title the properties file, which is likely the problem: http://www.minecraft...chers-features/)
So, while I work that out, here's some stuff to whet your appetites:
And the connected RPG bookshelf goodness, complete with less-cluttered junk:

Oh, and new iron block. I like this one better.
Oh. wow. Did not know that.
.........
Okay, who wants to make me some tekkit textures?
(vfd42, thank you for volunteering. Anyone else?)
I would also be quite glad to help (with your approval of course)
I'm pretty average at pixel art if i do say so myself!
Oops, my bad. That should say 'a set of blocks appears'. Those are definitely not ores.
And those melons are default, btw. I'd never make something that ugly. ^^
SEE WHY YOU SHOULD USE TEXTURE PACKS?? *stares hard at all the wonderful builders and youtubers who stubbornly cling to the **** development graphics*
@MrOmNom: Yes, I know. I'm testing a less saturated version of the grass.
Errrmm...that's a bit harsh...default isn't quite that bad...
That bookshelf makes me want CTM! I normally hate it. But that bookshelf...it's nearly as good as the pumpkin! (Which is the best texture. By FAR!)
And how'd you get two banners in your signature?

Ok, while they are completely different packs the uneducated masses have already declaired the similarities in style. I.e. the cartoonish nature.
and
SPHAX'S PACK IS A DOKU CLONE,
Compare some of the textures.

Curse PremiumSphax's pack is not a doku clone.
So what there are similarities? Doku is even more different from Sphax than Dragon Dance!!!
Sphax specifically said PureBDCraft is a Comic Book style.
Doku's is quite the opposite, imo.
sphax does resemble a vector doku. It doesn't look comic book, it looks RPG, and it shares a lot of designs with doku.

*FACEDESK!*
That would be because you are not using an HD fix like optifine or MCpatcher.
