I even named the wooden sword Thorn, because it has little thorns on it. ^^
...yes, I do name my swords. Doesn't everyone?
I want to bake those swords into a cake and feed it to my enemies. (but first I will lick the spoon). I love them all, though my favorite is the wood. However, the highlights on the tip seem a little... idk blurry. Something kind of irks me about them. I still love it though.
i really like how you made redstone into fossils/bones.
i almost made one of my ores bones, but that would have been coal (because i didn't realize at the time that coal is made of plant matter, and ancient animal matter becomes petrolium)
anyway... will your redstone powered objects have a bone theme too? i cant wait to see your redstone torches and repeaters at any rate.
the problem i have though is that if i were to use your pack id probably end up using the wooden sword exclusively because i like it so much, then get killed by mobs because wooden swords are useless.

I like the design of the iron sword . But i think the diamond sword will be much more pretty if it look heavier like the iron sword. It looks too fragile. This texyure pack is awesome !

WOW! Amazing! I love how the stone one is hastily joined to the wood! My favourite is the wood though!
And most impressive of all that these are hand-drawn!
PUT THEM IN THE PACK ASAP! =D
Steelfeathers, this i your last pack. You're probably taking up too much bandwidth on the MCforum servers
But seriously, i think the iron sword needs some little hilt ornament, maybe a tiny bit of shading on the centre thingy to give it some depth. As vfd said, the woods highlight on the top seems to contrast-y
Recoloring the "elvisch" Ironsword to be Gold... brilliant!
You should make all of the Tools like that principle, Wood - Cheap.. and maybe leafy
Stone - Some Cracks here and there
Iron - Practical, efficient, (bulky?)
Gold - Smooth, goodlocking, sligtly fragile
Diamond - Downright Awesome and perfect in every way
Yeah, the thing I like about 64x and up is that you can do so much with the tools!
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the sets, Steelfeathers.

Maybe it's because of the background color? There's not a lot of contrast with the tip shade in that picture, so it may be hard to see. Unless you're talking about a different area...?

I don't know yet. I want to avoid having it look too tribal, though, and an overdose of bones will have it leaning in that direction. We'll see.

The iron sword is big and heavy for bashing. But the diamond sword doesn't need to be chunky, because it's razor sharp. ^^
Finesse over brute strength, my friend. Finesse over brute strength.

I think I'm going to do a big update soon and put the main download on PMC, so you'll get the swords then. :3

The iron sword actually used to have a green gem in the center of the hilt, but I took it out because it subtracted from the manliness quotient.

I intend to do something about like that-- I do it for all my packs. To me it just seems logical to do each type of sword first and set the 'look' for that material, then base the rest of the tools off the swords.
When does the next update for this pack come out? I want to write a review but I don't want to use out of date screenshots.
Later today, probably. I'm working on updating my All-Inclusive guide to texturing at the moment. Making it more all-inclusive. (About time, right? :P)
I'll try turning down the brightness of the cloth and see how that works. (Yay for a bazillion layers! Makes editing things so much easier.)
Hmm.
The textures are 64x right? How come you can't just manually select each section.
Seems easier to me.

This is just to seperate my trains of thought.
Also, I'm having a bit of a problem with GIMP:
I can't rotate textures! I either have to flip in a direction or redo it, because when I use the rotate tool, even if it is a perfect 90 degrees rotation, it makes it smaller.

Come to my house next Tuesday and we'll talk about it. How about we split it 30/70

Curse PremiumThe wood one looks very nice.
The cloth handle on the stone one seems too bright compared to the rest of the sword, and the wooden part looks too perfect IMO.
The iron one looks amazing.
The diamond one looks awesome, but like someone else said I think it should look heavier and bigger, Too "fragile" in the words of CZED.

What's in it for me? I ain't giving my brain away unless I get something good out of it.

Retired StaffUm...no. I can't just snap my fingers and make textures appear-- everything I make takes a lot of time and effort. Emphasis on time.

Retired StaffI also made the saplings a bit leafier.
Sorry, I can't help. I've never used gimp.
I will wait on the reveiw.
On another note I finally have an article that rivals the review of enchanted and it isn't even a review. Heh.
Just me pontificating on why a 1024x pack is a bad idea even if it could be run.

Retired StaffREPOSTED FOR POSTERITY.
I'm excited about seeing it when you get around to it. I know it'll be great.
Too bad you can't get some AA on the rails.
It makes me think of Disney for some reason.
