Dinnerbone has released a program for texture pack makers that makes the transition a lot easier, I believe. But do you think it's a better format in the long run?
EDIT: You are also at 6666 posts at the time of this edit. Make a wish.
Okay, how do you use this texture unstitcher thingy? I tried dumping it into the snapshot jar like a mod, but that just made the game crash....

Just click to run, once you click it starts a process and you can follow it from there. OuO
but just make sure you look at ALL the files, since i know i had to texture alllll animations for clock and compass since it no longer runs the same way. D:
I also forgot to say it most definitely does NOT go in that folder! >w<

Okay thanks. Got it converted now.
I have to say, I am definitely not happy about the fact that you absolutely HAVE to animate your flowing liquids now. It's either animated or default, since they couldn't be bothered to keep the useful feature that allowed minecraft to procedurally generate a simple moving animation from a static image.

... I can honestly say I haven't thought of that.
I normally stay on full versions rather than snapshots, so all texture packs and mods will still be compatible, but that means I haven't used any packs of the new format in-game yet. I made an unstitched version of my Definitance pack, but somehow I feel like I'm in for a rude awakening when 1.5 comes out.
That is also quite annoying because if there is ONE thing I am worse at than anything else, it is animated water.

I'm actually quite excited for animated water.
Well, in pixel art.
Not in Clownfish 2 (my new pack, 128x). That will be hell.
But hey in pixel art 16x16 imagine how great it would be

Why not make one like that yourself? Its quite easy, as I use a %2.5 blur downwards to make a motion blur effect.

beautiful texture pack.... I hope when 1.5 comes out you will update as soon as possible.... I am very picky on my texture packs and this one I really like
looks really nice...also it says tekkit in the title but doesnt show anything from tekkit or say anything about tekkit in the post so is it really compatible with tekkit or is that just a planned feature?

It's in the download, don't worry. Although it's nowhere near completed.

I'm more irked about the compass and clocks :<

Oh and Plenty of fish, this is a 32x32 not 16x16.
It's 64x, and I wasn't talking about Dragon Dance.
Well. Ow. You hurt my feelings :c

Thanks a lot! I'll put it up on the front page.
